I’m from Vermont where Kieth is from and have fished these releases now for about 10 years I rave about them to everyone and I am surprised even here how few of people know about them. You should still check your lines often that’s just good fishing technique as you can still tow a small fish if you’re not dialed in perfectly. But will never use another release. Tight lines to all.

The Chamberlain is a cool idea that filled a void when the Pro Release became unavailable in 2001. I've been manufacturing the Pro Release in Oregon since about 2011. In my opinion, the Pro Release is the best adjustable DR release ever invented (in 1977).

I think you are spot on with the Chamberlain release, been using them for a couple years now and love them. I also run a Scotty snubber between the release and the weight.

I am from Vermont where they’re made. These are the best I have some that are 10 or 11 years old and still work like new

I had a great call with Keith yesterday, I've never heard of this product in the PNW. Do you have any experience fishing this 200+ feet deep in saltwater? I question how this will hold up fishing deep water and he did not have any experience to share (a very honest and up front guy). Trolling at 3.5 knots in moving current, changing directions, with 250' of rigger braid out, 30# test mono with a flasher clipped in will create a lot of pull. My thought is that the fish release tension will have to be cranked up so far to prevent the line popping at that depth that it negates the fine tuning ability of this devise. The goal is to have the line release sensitive so that small fish pop the clip so you don't drag a 12" fish around for 15 minutes. Any experience with this? The concept seems brilliant but I don't know if it's actually practical for deep water salmon fishing.

Great video and what a great product, I just went out with a guide to try and improve my trolling technique, thats when I first saw this amazing device, as you said in the video its so frustrating have your line pop off over and over. I have two on order and cant wait to give them a try, can you tell me please is a snubber neccissary and what does it do?

This product has three areas of cut wire which are exposed and sharp and have burrs on them. These lead to nicked or cut fishing line. Burrs need to be removed before using this product and is difficult to do.
