The acceleration...and subsequent deceleration are amazing ! I guess its because with no flashover risk the hydraulics can put all their power down from scratch
It stopped because a member of the platform staff watching the departure noticed one of the door handles in an open position aand as these are not slam shut door locks and the door handles is in an open position the door if lent on would of swung open
@@RailFanAthena As I volunteer at Kidderminster Station, we have to look more carefully with the GWR stock, we also do the same with other stock as sometimes people don't shut the doors fully or not at all.
It was because one of the door handles on the GWR set was not in the closed position

I was on this train when it happened, me and my mate were so confused because we had no idea why we stopped 😂

I know that feeling, this has happened to me before when i dispatched a train on the Nene valley railway, when a door wasn't shut properly 😅
When remembered because try not left without the Guard behind on severn valley railway since July last year because is emergency

Possibly a door not shut properly as the platform staff noticed as the coaches passed him.
Will be, platform staff look at the door handles to see if the door is shut as the handle has to be facing a horizontal to be shut.
I can confirm this, the GWR stock arent fitted with slam doors and are more prone to being open

I was on the train at bewdly becuase the door opened the whistle went from the gured and it swung
any idea why for emercency stop ?
judging by what’s usually the cause at the SVR, most likely a door handle not in the right position
Pretty sure it was for a door not closed properly
Reviewing the footage all the handles were in the correct position
most likely a false alarm then, happens quite often at the SVR
@@heritage0001 - You couldn't see the full length of the train, prior to the emergency stop, so not sure how you could tell that....
