- How to make a repeatable jig using my kit. Also a test of the technique. I will also be engraving my Apple Pencil. To set the "return to" location, watch this video- • Setting the "return to...
I am still learning the software and there is a setting for a tool only line that may be used instead of removing the cut line. You may also disable the output for the line in the cuts tab.

Very nice video. Recently got into lasering and this will help a lot. Thanks.
About the cut line, can you not just turn it off when you burn the text, instead than delete it and undo?
You can set it as a tool line if you want. This is one of my REALLY old videos
Loved this idea, just ordered your jig. Thanks for making it available.
Awesome! Thank you!
Nice! What power, speed did you use, pus whats the wattage of the machine?
This was with my old 10 watt D1, if it isn't in the video, I don't remember. Long time ago
Thanks for your videos! If you turn your cut line into a tool line (T1 or T2), then you won't need to delete it and you'll always have a reference for positioning your text.
Thanks
You should just take orders! Do you take orders?
Orders for what?
Just purchased xTool D1 10w and wanted to purchase your jig. Question would be, what power and speed settings do I need to set in order for it to cut?
Depending on the material, I use 1/4 inch plywood and run 100% power 4 passes. 5 if you really want to be sure not to have fibers holding.
Another few questions: 1. How do I make home x1,y1? 2. Instead of taking out the cut line, can't we just change the setting to no output on the cutline? Suggestion if you can, show the screen as you are entering data in the lightburn software. It might be helpful in learning process. Thank you so very much for sharing your skills.
It is in the device settings.
Yes, you can. You can also set it as T1 for a tool line. Still learning the software too.
Yea, I need a better software for screen recording. Just getting started.
@@TheClackShack just to be clear, I was not complaining, I think you are doing great job.
More good information, thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Great job. Love it.
Thank you!
How about a bit of powder coat on top before the engraving
You could…
Thanks for the info.
You bet!
Fella, do you have ANY idea how extremely helpful your "Clack Shack University Online Academy" is? By comparison with the nearly 100 other UA-cam channels I watch, I somehow feel much more home, less intimidated, and more challenged to roll up my sleeves and jump right in there to try what you have showed us! WAIT!! Oh, shoot....I don't even have an XTool D1 yet, but I'll solve that problem soon.
Keep up your outstanding work, sir!

Thanks. i am glad it helped.
This was cool, Clack getting jiggy with it
Thanks
For the area that you place the pencil would it be wise to use a tool mark instead of deleting the cut line the way that you've referenced in past videos?
This was one of my early videos… I do
@@TheClackShack This is not related to templates but you seem to have a vast knowledge of the engravers so here goes. I purchased my DR PRO on the 16th of Dec and I have already had to replace the lens. It would not cut through the 5mm stock I wanted to use as the jigs. I took it apart and when removing the lens there is a square that seems to have been burned onto the lens itself. How often do you replace lenses in your D 1 PRO?
So nerve racking!!! lol
I am hoping your not saying that I am nerve racking...lol
