"I'll blame myself, not my dog." I love this. This video is so great. It's so nice to see hunting dogs trained with reward based methods. The dogs are bouncing all over the place, they're so happy and having so much fun! And they're so compliant too. There's no reason why you can't have both. Harsh methods are just NOT justified for any reason.
very wonderful, happy, well trained dogs. you can tell that these dogs love what the do, and enjoy working WITH the humans. Punishment doesn't teach your dog anything but to fear you. Positive training is so humane, FUN, and builds the best relationship you can ever imagine with your dog! well done!
3 times as long as a Lab to train or 2 times as long as a Golden to train? Vela - are you going to put up with that insult. Flatties ROCK! (as do Labs and Goldies) greetings from Switzerland Vela & Buzz
+Corrie De Beer It just probably doesn't bother her. I have not trained mine not to jump, simply because I don't mind it, as long as I always can stop it with a soft command.
Working Cockers are quite possibly the happiest creatures to have ever existed
Agreed. Happy little chaps that always want to please.

Poor secret. Will miss that naughty doggo at cruft shows. She lit up the stage
I love spaniels, they're so cute
I am very impressed with a well trained flat-coat by 1. That is very good training, they are not easy.
I never thought of gun dog training as a sport for humans as well as dogs. This is so enjoyable for every mammal on the field.
Great. Happy dogs! Gotto love Secret!

What's cruel?
Praying for Secret and her owner. Sandi, Kansas City.
I know Pogo, my Great aunt Nicky's dog, he is so bouncy and loving
seen this lady twice at Myerscough open day, an entertaining display
This was brilliant, saw it live. Very impressive.
Super, and very happy dogs!!
brilliant
excellent!!!!!
@BlueSlurpee74 Yes, but isn't he rather a Field Spaniel...?
He's a Field Cocker. The working type of English Cocker. Field Spaniels are a separate breed a little larger then a Cocker
No Curly Coated Retrievers???
Fantastic display :)
It keeps moving away from the dog doing the activity and zooming on the lady so I am not seeing anything interesting
LOVE IT!
They are ssssssssooooooo cute (but miserable…)
You obviously don't know anything about animals. It's all a game to them. If you want to see miserable, look in the mirror.
the little cocker secret i think would be all be it a bit vocal lovely in the field
awww secret
Interesting that she is ok with her dogs jumping. I trained my dog not to do that.

Acceptable while working, not when company drops by.
Spaniels naturally jump alot, its in their job description.
Best she sticks to training retrievers!
Or maybe you.
