Yeah the problem with hiding in the walls of your house is that someone might set your house on fire and then you’re screwed.
The best way to survive the purge is by increasing your chances by leaving major urban areas before the purge and getting somewhere isolated,and making sure you are armed to deal with the just in case contingency and have everything you need to shelter in place where you are for a few days.
