@@trottiegolf lmfao no way, what a legend. Despite me being unable to afford anything you talk about, you still make it super interesting to watch. Keep up the great stuff 👍
I love how Trottie couldn't even hide his bias for the Hi-Toe, he loves it so much. I'm right there with you brotha, my Hi-Toe quickly became my favorite club. I practice with it for hours and never get tired of it.
@justinkong6906 I should preference this by saying my favorite kind of golf club is a 60 degree wedge. I like chipping and hitting flop shots and a lob wedge is my go to for any shot under 79 yards. I had the original Milled Grind 60 degree before I got the HiToe wedge and it was also my favorite club. That being said, I prefer the HiToe by a wide margin. A lot of it is probably just how much confidence it gives you looking down at it. The full face grooves (I'll never use another 56 or 60 without them) and the wider toe area just makes you want to open the face up and try something fancy. Even in the rough you feel like you're going to get decent contact and more spin than a regular wedge. That might not be true at all but it does seem that way to me. For what I like out of a wedge and for what I use mine for, the HiToe is the best I've found.
I have a 54 degree MG3 that I pretty much use for everything inside 75 yards. Ever since I have bought it I have had no issues holding the green. Pulled off some pretty nice shots. Honestly my most confident club in my bag.
all the big golf names out there make great wedges and ive played em all but last yr for first time i put a set of callaway md 5 wedges in the bag and ive enjoyed them more than any wedge ive ever played and for me the most spinniest also,, when i first hit them i couldnt believe the amount of spin on short chips and pitches...quite a bit cheaper than the other big name brands out there as well..
Man, it would be great if I (I’m sure a lot of other people reading these comments, too) could achieve consistent ball striking on my wedges and then make a decision on which ones to play.
@@benjamindoerer1822 Yeah man, the golf world truly is a rich man’s sport, unfortunately. That being said, if you don’t skimp on your equipment, you can easily get ~10 years out of your irons, driver, hybrids, and putter. Wedges may be iffy just because of the grooves becoming worn out, but the average player wouldn’t even notice. I took my medicine and went with some of the best of the best equipment when buying my bag a few months ago and so far, so good. I plan on keeping what I have for a very long time.
@@benjamindoerer1822 you don't need to buy premium, just like you don't need to drive a BMW to get from a to b. You'll be fine with Wilson wedges, you could get the Costco wedge set for like 130 bucks for all 3 and they're proper. It's only a rich men's sport if you feel the need to have rich men's clubs.
I had the hightoe 2 58 degrés… I found it unpredictable… so sensitive to the ball high on the face, may be, because the use weight at the bottom… does the new version really different?
@trottiegolf will you train me to work on tour vans, please? I'll work for the national minimum wage as your assistant whilst I train. I'm a scratch Golfer with a degree in physics, it's my dream job 🙏 (unlikely you'll see it, but worth a shot lol)
That’s a lot of talking. Will there be another video explaining the differences with some data or technical insight? This one missed the mark. I love Chris but not this.
taylormade found a gem in this guy

i spin the shit out of mine and can throw up and stop anything on a dime or rip it back on a fuller shot.
I play my 54* MG2 the same way. I can play any trajectory I want with it.... Love em'
Just picked one up and am excited to get it on the course
Thats what i wanted to hear. upgraded my SM7s because og the gapping in my new irons, now only playing 54,58 MG3s
Always a great presentation from Trottie.
still love the 'original' 60-degree Hi-Toe with the ATV Sole Grind - I've bent it to 62 - it is magical
My buddy still plays his!
I have the milled grind 3 wedges for sand wedge and gap wedge I just put the high toe in the bag perfect job
Iv got the milled grind 3 wedges and they are excellent 👌 👏 👍 well done taylormade
The criticism has always been, full shots with high toe. People love them around the greens but not so much on full shots
That’s good to know
I have two Raw high toe wedges. A 58 and a 54, what I’ve noticed is that they wear down quickly. Very quickly.
thats the raw face.. the coating on the other faces will give it longevity

I need help deciding between TW MG3 vs hi toe 3
I love my 58 hi toe 3! I've become the king of flop shots with it! It also is dialed in to 130 yards every time with a full swing!
50, 54 and 60 MG3 in my bag😍
51 57
Thank you. Great advice. I will go for the high toe. 👍🏻👍🏻😊👏🏻👏🏻
Mg3 are the best wedges ever made, y have the 56 degrees since it was lunched

Or be able to afford an $180 wedge. $540 for 3 wedges. The golf club industry is taking everyone for a chump.

I really dont like the full shots with the high toe, so that cancels out everything good with it around the greens. Sadly
Why not?
I was just about to purchase a wedge set this is good to know I’ll likely go something different in that case
People saying they bend their wedges past 60* need to learn to just use your wedge properly
Love my MG3 52 and 58 wedges 👌
wondering, is this hi toe 3 versatile tho?

Taylormade bought themselves an excellent salesman
Chris can sell anything 👍👍
Play one wedge Costco 56 degree .
Costco Kirkland Signature 52°,56°,60° just have to upgrade the grips
Ever tried a vokey?
Over rated, too heavy at the bottom with chips.
7:03 sounded like he double hit it lol
He definitely double hit it lol
After watching this, it's really astonishing that anyone is able to play golf without a toe that is high 😅
MG 3 Wedge heads are too small for ones liking
i prefer Hi-Toe 3
