Guys, Janet Jackson, is a whole world onto itself. You must do more Janet! Rhythm Nation All For You All Nite Don't Stop Made For Now Miss You Much... that's a good start for ya!
same here. I take their music for granted because i grew up with it... I forget theres a whole over generation coming up thats never heard some of these songs and i love seeing there reaction to it. Like hearing it for the first time all over again.
I was born in 2000 and been a huge mj fan since I was 5 and saw thriller for the first time I know a lot about the jacksons and I know all the kids names and I own michale Jackson’s vision I also own the Jacksons an American dream and have seen it a shit ton of times and I’ll say my when I was younger thriller was definitely my favorite mj song and video but when I got older i like you rock my world the best he’s so smooth in that
Janet Jackson is one of the best selling artists and culturally significant artists to ever walk the planet. She signed the largest recording contract in music history, twice. Was named the second most successful act of the 90s, after mariah or course. Biggest selling debut tour in music history, 10 billboard number 1s (three lower than Michael) and thee longest running #1 single of any Jackson, and rolling stone once said “everything janet Jackson does is important” she is a legend, the blue print for Beyoncé, Rihanna, Bruno mars, Britney Spears, Jlo.... etc. although she was blacklisted by mtv , vh1, and radios due to the nipplegate controversy and the ceo at the time didn’t like her. But Janet Jackson is a bonified LEGEND. In the 90s as someone who was alive when Janet’s hay day was, you had maybe even more Janet fans then. 5 classic albums and 4 selling over 10 million. Don’t forget it’s miss Jackson.
Janet Jackson had a (still going?) strong career in the 80s and 90s and definitely on the charts. She didn't need her brother's help but this collaboration is in my opinion one of their best.
I lived through this and it was an EVENT. Nobody ever talks about how epic this was...ugh...the only thing I could possibly equate it to would be the final Avengers movie. It was that serious. No lie! And Fun Fact...Michael wanted to work with Ms. Rhythm Nation for years but Janet declined because she didn't want people to think that she was riding his coattails....so after the success of her janet. album and her Iconic Poetic Justice movie....she finally felt that they could collab.
Like, Michael had wanted to work with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis for years but they wouldn't because of their loyalty towards Janet. But here we are, Michael and Janet backed with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis's production as well as members of Michael's usual team.
Fun fact:Janet was one of the first people to see Tupac perform for the first time as a solo artist and did the movie Poetic Justice with him-she was also in Nutty Professor 2:The Klumps
This video was a ground breaking effect of it's time. Not long after you saw videos similar to this on a lower budget. TLC's scrubs is an example of it.
Janet is everything!!! 👑 If you are just starting to listen to her and seeing her videos and live performances/concerts, you are in for the best!!! Her and Michael with their creativity, messages in their music, video and tour concepts, choreography, etc...They truly are in a class of their own. Hands down! KING AND QUEEN!!! 👑👑
The MTV tribute performance to Michael,of Scream and other songs included every back up dancer that Michael had danced with and the dancers behind Janet were all the choreographers that had ever worked with him. All put together by Janet.
I'm 40 years old and it's just so adorable to see young kids react to this I was 13 when this video came out it was everything at the time still is huge Jackson fan you kids rock
You guys obviously haven't seen or heard much about Janet. Although he's the king of pop, she's the queen. She surely has the moves and you guys need to check her legendary catalogue of videos, hits and musis she's bad as well. My favorites of all times and so many artist looks up to them. His dad was hard on them all cause he wanted success that he didn't accomplish in his career. He beat them like many father's did in those days which is why they're so humble and loving today. So many artist get the big head and think they just blew up all alone. But them they know success, accepts it and gives back and truly embrace all the love and support. This is what kids need today cause you spare the rod and spoil the kids. I grew up watching them both break barriers and records and set the path for our future artist today. Icons!!!
Them being beat by their father is not the reason they are humble and kind . If you actually watch documentary they made it traumatized them . It was abuse .that spare the rod spoil the child is bs taken from slavery days in the Bible made by man .
Love this video so much. Michael’s voice was perfect and had so much feeling and aggression in it. And Janet’s look of anger was better than Michael’s and both of them were amazing at dancing and perfectly in sync with each other. And the makeup was awesome and i love the futuristic of it and the lyrics and beat were amazing too.
I know Michael is amazing and all that but the Queen of Pop Janet is one of the most influential and prolifc artists ever. She is also one of the best selling artists of all time as well.
@@miergarz3060 I love Whitney and Mariah but Janet was named the Queen of Pop in the early 90s. Numerous different publications/shows have called her that. You can't just strip someones title away lmao
In a recent interview about her videos Janet reveals that Japanese anime was an inspiration for the design...considering the year this was made, for such big names to invest in an homage to anime was ahead of its time. love it!
That was a great reaction video you two are fun to watch! This is outstanding entertainment but it’s also Michael raging about injustice. During the breakdown where Janet is chanting, you can see a newsreader in the background, this is what he’s saying... ‘a man was brutally beaten to death by police today, after being wrongly identified as a robbery suspect... the man was an 18year old black male’ not a lot of people are aware of that, and it’s worth pointing out, particularly in the current climate. You can hear it in the album version too. Way ahead of his time, MJ Forever.
THIS IS THE BEST!!! I love seeing them do that routine together. Hey please react to Janet's song "Together Again" Btw this video was meant to cost $7 million (which was crazy enough at the time) but Michael just pulled $11 million out of his own pocket and this became the most expensive music video of all time.
I never believed MJ had it the worst with the beatings from Joe. It was definitely the oldest brothers Jackie, Tito and Jermaine along with Rebbie. This was confirmed by Tito in his Vlad interview. When it comes to discipline in general, the oldest children got it the worst then the younger children will still get beatings but far less compared to the older ones. This is because the parent will become tired over time. For example, Janet has stated she only had one whipping from Joe. But MJ took the beatings the hardest emotionally and process it differently than his brothers. This goes to show that parents have to discipline their children differently because each child is different.
You guys should check out Janet Jackson's earlier work ---the official videos for 'Rythm Nation' (1989), 'Nasty Boys' (1986), "What Have you Done for Me Lately" (1986), "Control", "Pleasure Principle", and so many others. And that's just the 1980s...I haven't even mentioned her later work in the 1990s and 2000s. She is an amazing singer, dancer, and performer --- the QUEEN.
When this song came out it EXPLODED! and everyone talked about how Janet held her own next to Michael and was the only artist who could do it. Before Britney Spears, Janet was called the 'Princess of Pop' but after this video she was called the 'QUEEN'. People don't know this but Michael gave Janet creative freedom with the song and the video. This song was a 'sound' she was already working on with her producers. She gave him three tracks to choose from and he picked this one, then Michael and his producers did their thing with it...and this masterpiece was born.
Wait. You guys got to react to Janet Jackson. I mean she was not just Michael's little sister, she was talented in her own light. She competed with Madonna for the number 1 spot all through her career, and her live concerts was off the chart. When I want to feel good, I'll still throw her on for a Throwback. The Queen of Pop. You can actually make a argument about that, when you look at her hits. Great reaction

Rhythm Nation is about us all coming together, something Micheal and Janet speak about in their music.
