This game is something else. I can’t explain it but everything about it’s aesthetic, sound effects, fonts, art style, all the music, it’s so nostalgic! Nothing too over the top, it’s simplicity is what makes it so beautiful. Truly art 💖

There would be some mini games that would require you to spin the joy stick really fast, there was a chance that while spinning you would accidentally peel up the skin of your hand.
This game gave me blisters on my ass for sitting too long playing it.

That’s why every Mario Party after it was severely nerfed.
Mario Party 1 is brutal when someone is down on their luck. Looking at 40 coins for Bowser and Bash n' Cash.

I also played this when it came out in Germany in 1999. I was just 10 years old!!! In hindsight, MP1 was shit though, minigames weren't as sophisticated as in MP2 or MP3, and all the circulating sticks made for sore hands and broken controllers...

I personally think this is my favorite voice for Toad. Jen Taylor and Sam Kelly were wonderful as Peach, but I just don’t feel the same way about Toad.
This Toad has a pure voice. I think it's a Japanese VA.

Oh yeah mushroom mix up can go forever because the timing is forgiving , however they sorta fixed it in Hexagon Heat in the next game (but you can still time correctly to survive via ground pounds there , it's just way harder)

Wow, I had no idea that it was possible to survive in Mushroom Mix-up by Ground Pounding above the water. I guess that means it's impossible to lose that game if you know how to do that...
...and then as soon as I have that thought, Luigi messes it up and causes a draw to happen.
I didnt know either but it makes sense. Starting a ground pound keeps you in the air just long enough for the mushrooms to return if you time it right.
@@Lizuma yes this game has those slight flaws , it's still possible to do this in Mario party 2 but it's harder

The only way in my opinion to complete a rotating minigame with using PC peripherals on emulator is temporarily moving to mouse control.

Bash n Cash was completely and utterly unfair for the solo player, especially via Bowser Space where the other 3 have no reason to take a break from pounding you since the coins are lost immediately

I agree. Im glad im not the only one who notices this. I regret spending my money on Super Mario Party, but ive learned my lesson! I cant wait to get the Mario Parties for my N64!
Heres something else that happened, the sad reason why new Mario Party games (the ones after Mario Party DS) suck. Hudson Soft were the people who developed the Mario Party games up to DS. All of their Mario Party games are so amazing, and still are so much, they really make Super Mario Party itself not even look like a game. Then after their final really great, really creative, really fun Mario Party DS, they go out of buisness, and now NDCube is making the Mario Party games. Imagine how great Mario Party would still be if Hudson Soft was still around to make them, and still wanted to make them as amazing as they were back then. Of course, im seeing this weird trend now where, the newer the game (and the better the graphics as well), the worse it is. Maybe it just has to do with how things were back then, when the video game companies actually cared about their games.
Lizuma that weird trend has also affected the movie and show industry. Where they invest so much into how it looks but the script writing lacks in quality. What we have noticed is is a complete disconnect. Where back then it was low budget set pieces and air tight script writing. Now it’s the opposite. High budget set pieces (which is mostly CGI, where they don’t mesh practical effects with them) and loose scripts. People cared back then for movies and shows as well. And not to say there hasn’t been good video games or movies these days, but they are so very few between, where honestly most of them get drowned out by the crap. And when you think a game is going to be good and you wait for that day you just get slapped in the face. We cannot forget what blizzard did years ago with Diablo immortals. Bethesda with fallout 76. The most recent Cyberpunk game by CD project Red. And EA and Activision in general. There was gaming and movie nirvana back then. This is just a elaborate point to make that gaming companies and movie directors back then actually gave a damn about their craft. Now it’s more about how much money they can squeeze out of people by giving them the lowest quality crap. And the sad thing is. They are winning. Because not enough gamers are seeing this.
Or maybe they are. They are just too complacent. Sorry this is a little long. But I have cherished memories growing up where Nintendo was the gaming giant. Then came along PlayStation. The PC. And the Xbox. Now I feel like only Nintendo(although not perfect) still retains that passion compared to the others.

Well, now Im getting rid of Super Mario Party and some other switch games I really didnt enjoy, games that were too short, boring, bland or unlikable in other ways to me and I'll never play again (Mario tennis aces, super mario odyessy, new super mario bros u deluxe, mario Kart 8 deluxe). Im gonna get some money from that to get Mario Party and some other nice, older games I want to finally play, like older Mario Parties, older Mario Karts, and other older Mario games that are really good but I havent gotten a chance to play yet!

Hello, the players playing are me (Nintendo64Movies, Peach), NintendoWiiMovies (Mario), and NintenoDSMovies (Yoshi). This is not a redoing of all the board, but during our summer break we regularly played Mario Party 1, 2 and 3 and we recorded most of it. So there will be a couple of videos with Mario Party in the next couple of days / weeks, depending on when we can upload everything.
Three players aren't CPU are Luigi, Yoshi And Mario

If they ever do make an N64 Classic Edition, I hope they include the first three Mario Party games. I just hope they reprogram the mini games that require rotating the control stick. Either change it to mashing the A or B button or recalibrate the control stick so you don’t have to spin it too much or too hard. Make it happen Nintendo.
Brandon Matys if I’m not wrong the Lodgnet Hotel System did something similar for their N64 controllers so that seems totally plausible. If it’s more comfortable and stable I’m down for it.
