What a great top with the solvy! I'll have to give it a try. I usually used 2 spools of woolly nylon in the loopers, but still sometimes it's not the best.
Thanks Chris. These all look great on you. I had no idea a rolled hem would be that easy or the difference using the Solvy would make! Can’t wait to try this hem. Is a lettuce hem similar to a rolled hem, just wavier?
Thank you, love your videos. Can you please tell me how many microns your Solvy is? It should be printed on the packaging. I've only just discovered Solvy. I use a little 1-inch square to start and stop my rolled hem silk scarves. I just pull it off. No need to dissolve.
Thank you for watching. I read over the packaging and can not find anything about microns. What it says is Medium weight , 12” x 9 yards in a roll. Super Solvy
@@sewjourns7128, Thank you. My Solvy package says 30 microns which is a bit heavier than the embroidery one that I have. I find the lighter one a bit easier to tear away from the rolled hem on delicate fabric. The lighter one does not have the microns as I buy that by the yard.
Nice tops! Thanks for the informative tutorial, too!
Thank you for watching. I’m so glad you enjoyed it
Useful tip on rolled hems will give it a try.

Yes! I particularly like the double thick Solvy for a rolled hem.

Yes a lettuce hem is created by stretching the fabric as you are sewing the rolled hem.

@@shaminnaicker7637 I really prefer to wash the solvy away so I don;t worry about the stitches pulling away with this super solvy
