Sly always felt like he had to apologize to Sage for his fame, as if he felt like his fame kept him from his son and his burgeoning projects. He tried to be complimentary to his son, if he was with him or not. Let he felt as if time ran out. Let he was robbed of time with Sage. He never felt as if his son knew how much he loved him, how much he knew how independent he wanted to be. And how proud his dad was of him.
