@@tommas2674 Sorry, I just saw this comment. If you're curious if it is covered by insurance, the answer is no. You have to pay out of pocket or they also offer financing.
Only people that have terrible teeth truly understand mental and physical burden of bad teeth. I’m 45 and just had implants installed yesterday. Well worth the pain. I also went to a place that specialized in implants and cosmetic procedures. Thx for the video.
@@kyndalsworld662 I was able to save half but the rest I borrowed a home equity line of credit. I looked into Care Credit. All dentists (that I know of) use a couple different lending companies, but the interest wasn’t cheap. I know they’re expensive but I figured the sooner I get it done the cheaper they are for me. I have 20 yrs of work yet. If I waited another 5 yrs then it becomes more expensive per year. Make sense? It’s how I rationally calculated anyway. lol. Good luck!
@@kyndalsworld662if you have a regular decent job, this kinds of job/implants can cost around 25k usd or so.. so if it was me, id pay that off paying around 1k pr month for like 3 years = would be very much worth it tbh.
As a dental technician this gave me a new perspective on what i do. You really gave a face to my work and the whole process that i don’t get to experience first hand. Fantastic! thanks for documenting everything.
The team at Done in One said the same thing. They said they appreciated being able to see what a patient goes through outside the office because they never get to see that. I'm glad these videos have helped in so many ways. Thanks for watching.
I just finished watching this wonderful journey and I believe this will be my motivation to make a similar trek in the near future. Well presented, many questions answered & fears removed. Make no mistake, dental techs are all superheroes in my book!
@@ThatShabbyGuywouldn’t it be awesome if the government would step in and allow for more affordable schooling so those who choose a career in the medical profession aren’t boggled down with high tuition rates. This in turn would likely help the cost factor of needed care such as dental work. Some in our society assume the worst case when they see those of us with a bad smile!! I have thousands in my teeth yet still have lost over half due to no fault of my own!
Btw let’s get this straight too okay. His pain level is because he had an awesome dentist. The one I have lol nothing but it. Throwing up cuz they said take 800mg of ibuprofen and the 4 hours later take 800 of Motrin first thing in the did. Throw up lol. Can’t sleep can’t nothing.
U r brave n thank you for sharing this. Dental pain is no joke!!! Ur now free from the pain n will soon have the smile u always wanted.💙 I look forward to u painting again. Now please rest n let ur body do its healing.
Hey Ryan! I just wanted to say that I'm so proud of you! As someone who's been where you are right now, I'm just so gatdamn proud of you for going ahead with this life changing procedure, because I know how scary it is. It's utterly debilitating to live with severe dental problems, it absolutely does affect every aspect of ones life - physically, mentally and emotionally. I had my jaw smashed during a DV incident and it ruined my teeth. My jaw heeled incorrectly, so I had to have it rebroken during surgery. I was constantly on antibiotics before the surgery, constantly getting severe ulcers, constantly in extreme pain. This step you've taken is soooo worth it! You'll feel it in every moment of your life from here on out. I'm so happy for you and your family, as they will also get the pain-free Ryan back; it'll make a hugely positive difference for both you and your loved ones. Good luck, and here's to a happier life! Much love, from Australia xx
Hey bud you are definitely not alone. I need a full dental reconstruction. $50k min. Mostly caused by a bad reaction to CYMBALTA not being prescribed properly. Not given proper dosage or given enough time to adjust properly before upping the dosage, and when I realized that it had turned my “give a fuck” completely off, I was not weaned off properly. Sent me into a tail spin for the last 3 almost 4 years. Lost my Mother and Mother in Law in the last 2 years. The only thing I feel bad about is they didn’t get to see me beat this. I’m just now coming back to something resembling normal(for me) Besides all of my teeth needing to be replaced. Been considering starting a YT Channel to document my process and progress, and what I do day to day(mostly nothing fighting my head and trying to force myself to get up, not always successful) Thinking about doing a go fund me or the like. Not sure people give enough of a fuck about other peoples issues. Hope this helps you with your confidence and mental health. Bless you for sharing. Keep strong.
@@beauxjones8793 hey mate, I just wanted to say that I empathise with you and your situation. I had to have a full dental/jaw reconstruction for different reasons than you, but maaaaaannnn! I vividly remember being in that place - the constant pain, hospital stays, antibiotics, etc. (You know the nightmarish merry-go-round it is.) I'd like to encourage you to start that UA-cam channel, because I think people would definitely watch it. Some people would watch it due to a fascination with the medical/procedural side of things (as 360 Revolucion mentioned above - I'm also a Pimple Popper/Cyst pop fan lol) and others - probably a *shit tonne* of others - would watch because they can relate on a personal level. People not only don't talk about extreme dental problems enough, they don't show the *realities* of life with extreme dental problems. It's something that many often relegate to being strictly a "junkie" or "hobo" problem, when that is soooo often not the case. The issue of extreme periodontal disease gets shoved into the darkest, dingiest corner possible, which only serves to cause more intense feelings of isolation and embarrassment for those who are suffering. It's something we *do* need to talk about, especially considering the myriad of reasons behind advanced tooth decay (pregnancy, genetics, facial trauma, incorrect medications and/or dosages, clinical depression, etc.) I believe there's a whole community of people out here, just looking for someone to relate to on this issue, because let's be real - dentistry is faaaarking expenno', and a good majority of our fellow humans really don't have the financial means to get a full mouth reconstruction. I think more people than we know are suffering, but because we don't really talk about it, we don't see them opening up about what's going on. Anywhooz, sorry for the novel.... I just think a UA-cam channel dedicated to this topic is a great idea! Wishing you well in all your endeavours, regardless. Much love, from Australia xx
Thank you for filming this man. I’m 22 years old and sadly I plan to try to get this done soon. Hopefully the cost isn’t extremely high but at this point I’d do anything to have a smile to be proud of.
You know, at least you are getting full implants! I had an idiot dentist put 4 implants in my lower jaw....only to have to remove them 8 days later!!! I had loss bone mass to the point that now, I can't get implants or wear dentures!! I am only 65...and I will go the rest of my life with no teeth!!! Happy for you!! I so wish I could give you a huge hug!!
I’m so sorry to hear this. I too have lost too much bone so I cannot have implants. I have a denture but my gag reflex is so strong, I have to keep taking it out 🙁
As someone who had terrible teeth very young, I have had 2 kids with NO meds, and nothing hurts like obsessed teeth. I got dentures in my twenties ,and have never regretted it. Hopefully everything goes great for you, good luck.
I just turned 40 and grew an absence due to a tooth dying because it rejected a white filling. Didn’t really hurt me, just was uncomfortable for a few days. Infection was so bad that my bone deteriorated. Dentist was surprised that I didn’t have actual pain and didn’t have any sinus issues.
@DanielGuzman83 Exact thing happened to me! Failed crown, had NO idea there was an infection due to no pain, odor ect... they pulled it, and I have bone loss where it was. I actually got to see the infection as it manifested as a lump of tissue attached to the root of the tooth. I even took a picture of it on the tray bc I was shocked.
I hid my smile for over 10 years. it was so unnatural and mentally draining. i finally went to see a dentist over the pandemic. 7 implants! Best thing I ever did.
@@callofdutywarzonegameplays4553i got mine at affordable dentures and implants and they have offices all over the country, they're hands down the lowest prices for the best work! That's all they do all day everyday so they learn all the new stuff way before other places. I was told by 3 different dentist and periodontist that I didn't have enough bone to get implants (been wearing regular dentures for 10 years and my lower arch has lost so much bone that i can't even wear a lower denture anymore) but i went to A.D.I and they didn't even hesitate, she said they do this procedure all the time but it's fairly new so most other places done do it and it's bone reduction, so they shave it down to wear it's all flat and level so they have enough width and then put the implants into thicker bone. It worked great and my implants healed perfectly and now i have a perfect smile!
@@callofdutywarzonegameplays4553i went to Sofia Implant centre in Bulgaria ( from here Ibiza ) as here, uk etc wayyy too expensive, a rip off in fact. It cost me @€7400 for full top and bottom inc all meds, temps, perms, xrays, scans, etc. it wasnt quick, it was 11 months all round, 3 trips but its been a life changing experience
I found you by accident researching dental implants. What you went through sounds EXACTLY like what I am going through and have been for idk how long now. I'm only 32 years old. But have BATTLED my teeth since my early 20s. Fillings have fallen out and my whole left side on the bottom isn't even there anymore in terms of teeth. I have gotten by chewing on my right side and being conscious of everything I eat. I don't smile. Just like you I am always aware of having to hide my teeth when I talk and laugh. I have a fear of the dentist. So much so that I have let this go on for too long even though I know that I can't make it any better myself. Now. On my right side the same thing is starting to happen. The tooth has opened up and it's just a matter of time before it breaks apart and I can't chew anymore. I am to the point of enough is enough. I want a new smile SO BAD. But my fear is holding me back. I have been researching the all in 4 implants. Just need to pull the trigger. Wish me luck
I wish health insurance covered teeth because you need them to eat and be healthy. I have missing and broken teeth and what they charge for implants, root canals and dentures is just crazy. Implants would cost me a years pay. Teeth aren't cosmetic they are necessary
@DurzoBlunts agreed. My problem is genetic, and it doesn't matter how many times I get them cleaned or filled, I'm just doomed to a future of bad or no teeth.
Same with me My teeth are terrible I have like 15 left and maybe need More pulled In my And my eyes are terrible because of a genetic disorder I have It's called It's called neurofitosis
As a Mom of 2 grown men, I'm very proud of you. You are doing the right thing. You're very brave to let all your followers see what you're going through! I wished I could have gotten implants, because everything the Dentist's did to my teeth over the years just led to having to have them pulled anyway! So, you truely are, doing the best thing possible for you oral health! Thank you for sharing this with us! Praying for a speedy recovery & healing. God Bless!
Ignore the random weirdos. When videos get a lot of attention, weird people like to come out and self project about their own life issues that have nothing to do with us. Especially an account called @dailymeditation365 being toxic instead of meditating on their own problems. They're just another human like you and I, pretending to be better. Yet all they do is peruse social media be hateful. And all because of their own emotional and physical issues. Sad really Imagine creating a channel about meditation, never being successful most likely because of a shitty message, then browsing youtube to pass on the negativity. So sad. You just have to ignore their mental issues and move on
You're a beast! I'm 36, Just had full extraction and have my temp in for about a week and a half now. Watching everyone's videos I am actually very blessed, I'm eating my solids Panda Express, pizza lots of peanut butter jelly sandwiches. My fit isn't great,my dentist has been amazing and I'll start buying pallets of a realine but I think God that my mental is okay. I suck really bad at talking and can't use "S". My teeth are a little small and look like Dave Franco but I'll survive. The one thing that killed me was my breath, and the fact that people distance themselves and now my wifey is as happy as could be. Anyone out there about to do this, You got it, you'll be okay! Just remember you'll be able to smile soon.
I'm 25 and have to get all of my teeth removed and then when it heals get dentures I'm so scared and depressed but your videos amongst others going through dental journey really helps me ❤️ thank you 🙏🏽

Ryan, you're an amazing artist and we are all rooting for you and wishing you a speedy recovery. Mouth pain is horrific, but I am glad you are taking care of your dental health and looking forward to a healthier you. Take good care of yourself and take all the time you need to recover. Be well! 🙏❤️
Wow I’m so glad you talked about this. My son has the same issues with his teeth. It’s a struggle for him. I pray all goes well and your back doing more more videos !
Bless your heart, teeth pain is so bad. I pray this brings you all that you need. I am sure all your loyal subs will be here when you get done. Proud of you for being brave enough to fix it.
Bless you…I’ve had a lot of dental issues in the past… at least 8 root canals, multiple cavities, braces, implants, infected implant…on and on..totally understand how you feel and good for you getting this taken care of..keep you in my thoughts and prayers for speedy recovery.
I didn’t think it was possible for you to inspire me more than you already have, but then you posted this! I can not believe how beautiful of a human you are. Sending all the healthy vibes your way for a speedy recovery. I don’t think you will ever know how inspiring this video was, thanks for allowing me to know I’m not the only one who has these fears and struggles!
I went through this a few days ago. Not for implants, just traditional dentures (as a 35 yr old male.) My experience was very similar with a few minor differences. The relaxant they had me take was essentially Valium, but I was also so sleep deprived from working through the night beforehand that it didn't seem to make much of a difference. I was already delirious before taking it. LOL! But I fell asleep during the procedure because of this three times and the dentist even said I was snoring in the middle of them pulling the teeth. As for the aftermath, I remember being wheeled out to the car. However, the trip home feels more like a dream and there's only pieces that I can remember. I fell asleep on my bed, but my wife said I woke up after an hour crying in pain. I had to take more meds and passed out again once they kicked in. But again I don't really remember it. I'm on day three with this denture arch in my mouth (upper only.) I still have pain, but it's mostly just at the sites where they injected the anesthetic into the gums and my upper mouth. Unfortunately, the ones on the gums are right where the edge of the denture rubs against. Also, my right cheek is super swollen. Eating still isn't easy and talking is still somewhat difficult. Either way, it's very intriguing to see how others handled this journey. I have no regrets and this is probably the best thing I've done for myself aside from corrective eye surgery, but that's another story...
You're such a good person and so deserving of this. My son was in the same shoes with his teeth. A year ago he had implants and veneers done too and now he can't stop smiling. God bless you!
I understand perfectly well...I'm 54 years old and in the process ..had all my teeth extracted, had 12 implants and hopefully will be getting my temporary dentures ,still have at least 6 more months to go!! Be strong and believe you will get through it!!!❤
I also am praying for all to go well for you. It's good you got some rest. Looking forward to hearing how the next procedure goes and seeing your new shiny, white teeth.
I have just finished my journey down the exact same road Ryan. All your reasons and rational where exactly the same as mine, and sadly what my teeth turned into where the same also. I promise it will be easier than you imagine and the positives will be well worth it. I waited 40 years, you are smart to move sooner on it than I did. Thanks for sharing; may last visit is next week and i am a different person for it.
Not many people would have the courage to let the public see this life changing procedure. Good for you and hope you are happy long-term with the results.
How brave and unselfish of you to share this very personal experience! So many of us can relate, myself included. I have been through it with dental disasters. No joke, in my lifetime I have spent well over 100k on one disastrous procedure, after another. And here I am at 63, with only half of my teeth left. It’s embarrassing, to say the very least. It’s actually heartbreaking. To put one’s self through the pain, and the financial burden, only to have it all fail, is almost to much to talk about. I should have done what you are doing. Who knew? I can’t even imagine putting it out there, for all to see. Courageous is the only word I have. After all I have been through, fear of dentistry, doesn’t even scratch the surface. Thank you for your sharing this. I wish you nothing but the best, as I am sure, this will turn out well for you. I look forward to the next update. Prayers and good wishes are sent from the bottom of my heart.
I'm in awe of your courage in speaking about this issue. I've had dentures since I was 20 years old (due to a car accident) and I NEVER discuss my embarrassment with anyone. It's affected my confidence, too, and I feel deep shame over it. I'd love to get implants but I can't afford it. I hope you are no longer in constant pain and that you healed well from the surgery and you were given a new lease on life. xxx
@@matt566 Matt, I find dentures difficult, but if they are fitted to you correctly in the first place, they can be ok. They DO loosen after eating, I am self-conscious when kissing, they can mysteriously break, etc etc. After all these years, I'm considering the implants now for all the above reasons. Good luck with your journey.
I feel you Ryan, I'm 67 and very embarrassed to smile and speak to ppl except for family they know how I feel but someday I'll take care of it too. So in a week we'll see you happy and pain free. Happy for you
You’re amazing sharing your story. I’m an old Dentist following your implant journey. I started watching you from refinishing furniture. Then stumbled upon this video. I am proud and grateful for you sharing individual personalized dental treatments. How are you doing today.
I've been suffering my whole life with bad teeth also, in my 30's now and I haven't smiled in pictures since I was 18, it has just been too expensive, but at the start of January I went abroad and fixed my teeth, I got my smile back and can't stop smiling, now I don't shy away from meeting people and it has changed my life. Hope all is well.
Bless your heart, Ryan, for having the courage to show this week of your life. It can't be easy, but a hell of a lot better than the pain you've been enduring over the years. I'm older and have dentures. and let me tell you they are a pain in the butt. Implants are the way to go.....get 'er done!! Thank you for sharing this experience with us. I so enjoy watching your restoration videos and look forward to you getting back to work. Take care of your new teeth and hoping a speed recovery and safe trip home.
I had an accident at work that basically cut off blood flow to my teeth and they started to deteriorate quickly. While I haven’t always had the best teeth, they were at least clean and healthy up til then. Now I just had every tooth extracted as well and have the all on 5 implants. I won’t talk pain levels because quite frankly any momentary pain is worth a lifetime of a healthy mouth and I don’t want to scare people looking to try this. You will have discomfort for about 3 weeks, be sure to take your prescribed stuff as directed since it will get you through the pain almost completely during the first two weeks of the healing process. I’d say the most discomfort will be going into week 2 since the bruising will settle into the bone by then so lots of ice, cold showers as soon as you wake up to quell swelling. Also because of how the roof of your mouth is angled you may have a situation where there is loose shredded skin, it will fall off naturally, do not rip it or you could really mess up your mouth!! If you want to avoid food, nutrament shakes are good, instant mashed, apple sauce have been my go tos.
There's no pain that I know of that is worse than dental pain. Glad to see that your getting the medical help that you need. Praying for your speedy recovery.
@@ThatShabbyGuy hi i am happy to see you reply me i am still watching your videos i found your channel this morning and you are right labour pain is different in women some face worse pain and its not that bad for some i have 50 % bone loss in my teeth i am so much worried i have gum disease so much bleeding from gums i didn't lost any of my teeth no cavities just because of gum disease i am suffering i don't know what will happen but i am happy for you
Best of luck and prayers for a quick healing, my husband desperately needs this, he suffers in pain every single day! I pray 1 day he will be blessed with the procedure he needs
I have had issues with my teeth as well, not wanting to have my picture taken. So many trips and holidays with no pictures of myself enjoying them. It definitely affects your self confidence. Now I have 2 extracted teeth waiting for implants while I am wearing Invisalign trays. So ready to be done with these trays and get my empty spaces filled with implants! With the extractions and the world put on hold due to Covid, it has taken a lot longer than normal. But I see the finish line ahead. I am in my 50’s and now wished I had done something sooner and been in those photos of those special memories. Glad you are doing something about your teeth now while you are young. Do not miss those photos! Wishing you a speedy recovery and excited to see your new smile!
I'm sorry you've been going through so much pain. I've had dental issues and an autoimmune disorder that makes treatments incredibly painful so I understand your pain. I hope you'll be payin free soon and happy with the esthetic change in your smile.
I have seen a program showing woman that had bad teeth and had implants. Their entire demeanor changed. They smiled all the time and their confidence soared. I think you will be quite happy with the results.
My son who's only 19, something happened to his and I'm 100% positive he has to have this done. Thanks to you we can follow your adventure in this and learn the do's and don'ts and then do. Hang in there when this is done you'll be smiling 24/7 and your helping a family and giving hope to a young man 😀. We love how you use your skills to create/re-create beautiful work.
Oh sweetheart, I’ve been there! Just had implants, 4 on top with a denture to hook into it! It’s the best money I’ve ever spent! I spent 2 years with those dentures that get put in on top of holes in one day! That was the worst but you are doing the right thing!
You poor thing!!! I have a friend who went through this and she is a new woman!! I cannot imagine the hell you have been living with!! We love you kiddo and so brave of you to reveal all of this to us. There may be a person out there that you encourage with your story!! ❤️🤓
I have very similar issues and it has ruined my self-esteem. Money is also an issue. As horrible as Covid has been and the part it has played in my teeth getting worse, masks have been a blessing for hiding my teeth. I can only imagine how much this procedure will cost but, I'm very happy for you and look forward to your results. Good luck.
Gosh tooth problems are the WORST. I might have to get a tooth pulled in the future and it is very depressing for me. You are helping others by telling your story ❤❤.
Your smile is better than mine, I have grown up with crooked teeth, but right before the pandemic hit I had 2 taken out, then there was the pandemic. Then this January I had to have 2 more removed, and they told me I had to wait 3-4 months to heal before I can have implants. I was so swollen and bruised for the first month.
I go to Done in one in 3 weeks, February 26th 2024. I’m having full tops and bottoms. My total cost including the travel package and a $1,000.00 discount for paying cash was about $38K.
$38k? Wow. That's great you're able to save that much. This guy had his patron people pay his way and UA-cam so I don't think he understands that a normal person isn't able to shell that out. Thanks for the $ info. Looks like I have a while yet to save 😊
Wow! Good for you! I had some of the same issues and now have dentures. Really wish I could do the same as you. All my best wishes for this to go smoothly and be a total success. It’s good you’re getting this taken care of. It’s dangerous to let it go. I once worked with a woman who had a stroke, which was caused by her dental issues. She was gradually getting function back, but was hard to understand.
Even though this took place about a year ago, I just wanted to say that I am so proud of you for being so strong and having enough guts to do it. From your picture, your smile looks absolutely amazing, and I hope that after you got it done, it boosted your self-esteem. I too am going to be getting major surgery done next month, and by watching your video, you gave me a little extra motivation that I too can take on a difficult surgery, and I thank you for it! 😀
I just have to say you are so, so brave to let us in on this journey. THANK YOU. ❤ I just had to get a dental implant for my right front tooth due to cervical resorption. It was unexpected and completely devastating to me at 40 years old. I am still not over it. I’m currently waiting for it to heal before I get the permanent crown and it’s been hard with just one tooth missing. I cannot imagine having to lose all of my teeth. I know it will be worth it in the end but it’s the in between that is truly the hardest. A huge thank you again and I hope this is all in the past for you now. ♥️
Wow! I started watching this video not realizing it was you! I am having only one implant so was interested. Thank you for allowing us to go on your journey to a beautiful smile! Do proud of you. You are brave for sure.
I am a great grandmother and wish you were not going thru this alone. However, you are seemingly a bright young man and are very brave! I suffered many years with bad teeth and pain. You are right to do this now as it will open up your life and you will be so happy. I too had to have all my teeth removed after many painful years. I have studs in my mouth also and love them. It does take a little getting use to, so do not be discouraged. It will take a couple of months before you will be completely comfortable with them. Don't give up. Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Deborah
Só Brave!! displaying such a delicate Change ,from hiding to showing how strong the a persons Will can bem, dispite the pain can be! You are so creative and Talented! This Change can ONLY bring amazing things!!
Thank you so much for being vulnerable on camera! 💖💖💖This affects a lot more people than you might think. I'm lucky that in California, I qualify for Denti-cal. It's medi-called for teeth! I was able to get my wisdom teeth removed other necessary dental work at no cost. Good Luck and here's to a speedy recovery!
I've been chickening out to go to the VA for dental implants but watching this has given me confidence. I found out two months ago that I am eligible for dental and at 62 yrs old it's time
Wow I can't believe you went for this option. I'm glad you did it anyway. I was offered that. But because I am diabetic and on dialysis my doctors were worried about bleeding and infections. So they said no implants. So I decided to search for a Dentist that that used the CEREC System. This is an all digital system. They first scan your tooth or teeth instead of taking putty mold. Then the dentist designs the new tooth with 3D software. And then puts a dye in a milling machine. 15 minutes later you have a new tooth. Stronger than porcelain. The first session I sat in the chair for 8 hours. In that first session my whole bottom teeth were replaced. Minus one tooth we ran out of time. Second session was 9 hours in the chair. That last bottom was finished. And all my uppers were done. There is a total of 3 bridges that are permanent. But some work is being finsihed. Prior to starting that I ended up needing 3 root canals. And one tooth today was pulled because of a fracture. That tooth was under one ofthe bridges. The bridges at this writing are temporary until he came make the permanent. But it only took two sessions to get my smile back. So I do tell people to search for dentists that use the CEREC system. Not all dentist that have the CEREC system have the milling machine. I love my dentist and I love the CEREC System as an alternative to a 4 or 6 on one implant. Mine you have to have strong teeth to do what I did. But I did have already cap/crowns. And my front teeth had grounded down to nothing. From grinding my teeth at night. The other option if you are not in pain is snap-on teeth. Which worked but I wanted my own. Cost you ask? $82,000.00 Yup! $82,000.00 My retirement money!
Bro, big fan of your work and huge kudos for having the bravery to not only go through with this (I’m terrified when I go to the dentist too so I get it), but to share it with all of us. Hope you’re feeling better!
Best wishes to you! You are really brave to share this with your audience. We can learn a lot from your experience. I will never miss my dental check up again.
It won’t help that much, but it is a necessity. Dentists are really good at slowly stealing and damaging your teeth. My dentist wasn’t shy at all and just hacked at my teeth like he had gambling debts to pay.
I wondered what the process was. Thanks for recording your experience and the process. I stumbled on this after recently subscribing to your channel (4/2023). So now you are all healed & a handsome young man.( I am probably your grandmother's or even great grandmother's age. Ha ha!) I love watching your process refinishing and refurbishing furniture. Keep up the good work and keep smiling!
I lost teeth through illness, stress and infection so this year I did something about it. 3 extractions, 2 sinus lifts, 7 implants and total refit all Zirconium crowns. Very happy but it was an awful journey, three hours of painful surgery. I paid 14000 euros in Turkey.
Where to start ! Pain for six months at least, stitches (over 50) causing bleeding, bone fragments (bone grafting) coming through my gums all over the place. Many teeth were filed too near the nerve so can't drink hot or cold. A local dentist said that the implants have taken, it's been well over a year, so I now have to go back and have the permament crowns put in and also the nerves taken out of the sensitive teeth. The top teeth which are temporary zircon crowns look flat and fake to I will tell them to listen when I speak and choose ! They are so used to people going for the ultra ultra white Instagram smile that they assume that everyone wants the same. I don't have that lifestyle, thank god ! I am overall dissapointed but it needed done and there was no way that I could afford French dentists so all in all, ok with reservations. @@eeZyy_
Wonderful that you can have this dental treatment. Boca Rotan is where one of my best childhood friends emigrated to from South Africa during the 80s and is therefore familiar to me. Great climate and swimming and beach. Good luck Ryan, wishing you the best and I cant wait to see your new smile. Hope that the pain will subside soon. Take care and be well
You are doing the right thing. Don't worry, it's for the best. I felt the same way I was so upset about it and everything until I went on UA-cam and I found a couple of videos about getting dentures young and I found out that there's a lot of people that have this problem and even if a lot of people don't have it when they're young everyone, everyone is going to have dental problems as they get older. So don't be ashamed. You're going to look so good with your new teeth 😊
Thank you for being so brave and sharing your story. I share much of the same issues and hope to eventually get all on four. Best of luck to you! Again, thank you for sharing!
I just had 24 extractions and immediate dentures done. Im on day 2 and ill say the pain is real for me. I reached the 24 hr mark and I managed to keep them in fir suture protection and I just took them out to rest my gums finally and omg...so much better! I have been struggling with on average 3 to 5 abscess teeth every day for 3 years, because of a root canal that got infected during COVID and I couldn't get it taken care of.. infection spread like wildfire. My pain level up till now has been 8 out of 10 but its in waves not constant like sharp nerve pains. I just have to get through the healing and ill be done with tooth pain forever. Im proud of you dude! 👏😎
Lots of Good Luck ....!!! I'm 68, Bad Bite, Lots of crowns ... too late for me, just had to get frontal crown lengthening done from a Periodontist .... And I was Numb as a rock, the procedure was nothing, but the gum stitching, healing over the roots hurt weeks after .... Fortunately I had some pain meds used for my back, lots of luck with advil....Laugh if they suggest Tylenol ... lol.... Within about 3 weeks everything settled down , so just be patient because it really gets frustrating trying to eat ... You're doing the right thing, In my day my parents didn't understand what braces and prophylactic dental care would mean in later years... So you're definitely making the right move Now !
I love your videos! But sharing this personal journey makes me feel more connected to your channel and story. I think sharing this part of your life might be the best thing you could have done for your channel. You have so much support from your loyal followers! Keep your head up! And thank you for what you do!
I had one tooth pulled and will get a dental implant. Yes, 3 visits and $3000.00. Not getting my implant for 6 months until I get back from Florida. God Bless you!! It will be great for you!! Thanks for letting us know.
I think it's great that you did this video. A lot of people have a fear of the dentist. I was one of them but my teeth started getting more and more cavities and the root of the teeth were dead so I had to do it eventually. Wish they had had a place like this close to me though I probably couldn't have afforded it. But great that there is such a place now somewhere.
You are a brave young man, sharing such personal issues and crying in front of the camera takes lots of guts to show true emotions and you got me crying along with you. I hope by now all your dental issues have been solved and that you smile with the biggest toothy smile in the word. I ended checking your channel because I have a dining table and chairs that I been wanting to paint in a darker color, but the idea of sanding it has stopped me from doing it, I will check some more of your videos to see if I can do it with no sanding or at least not too much sanding. I have a very small place, and I can't really make a big mess.
Hey there not so shabby guy. Don’t have to explain yourself - I’ve had fairly bad teeth all my life by in particular after being diagnosed with Sjögren’s syndrome (very little saliva) my teeth have gotten so much worse and I haven’t smiled in a photo for tenfold years. I’m glad you can have your teeth fixed and hope you also go really well with the procedure. All the best to you 🦷 ❤️
You are an awesome young man! Your wildly talented, so humble, real and you so deserve to do this for yourself! Teeth pain can be the worst and then trying to hide the damage can take a toll on oneself. I live with this every day and wish when I was your age they had this option. I am still hoping to one day get this done! I am disabled so financially it will be a struggle but maybe my little bit of furniture flipping will help me get there sooner! You have inspired me and, I am sure, many others. You look so happy and excited and I hope we see you more often in your videos!
Brave guy to go through that on UA-cam. Just got mine done. 21 teeth extraction. It sucked but it was so worth it. Anyone seeing this. I was going to say bit the bullet and do it. It's so nice to be done with those friggin teeth. Instead of running your tongue across broken and rotting teeth. Three weeks in and doing well. The first week is rough. But only gets better.
WOW..... I cant imagine having tooth pain all the time but I do know from friends that have had this done that they love the results. You are going to be so proud for yourself. And after this you will feel better about yourself. You are a very talented, smart, goodlooking guy...... go live your best life.
Hi, I started watching this video and could only get about a minute in; reason being is because not that long ago I was on your exact path, hated smiling, broken and missing teeth, almost all my tops, remaining needed root canals or removal. Unfortunately I made the decision to get dentures, mostly due to age and the cost involved ( it would have set me back about 20k). The emotional journey has been a difficult one. I will try to watch all the episodes to see how you made out. I just wanted to share, with you, that you're never alone no matter what is going on in your life. Take care
Ohhh…Honey! U R Gorgeous & I totally understand!! I have spent Thousands on Dentistry! No Enamel coating issues, root canal, braces as an adult, pulled teeth, golden crowns, abscess. (The Hard Way) My Mom had all her uppers pulled in her 30s. I pray that U find Peace & a healthy mouth! Sounds like U hav made a good & wise choice in treating the situations. God bless U!!! Thanks for letting us pray with U!
Thank you for sharing this. It's something that so many of us struggle with and are ashamed of, and we shouldn't be. Your courage in showing what you are going through will help others. Best wishes.
Wishing you an easy procedure and quick easy healing. Thank you for sharing! You are the reason I started my furniture artist and refinishing business! Wishing you speedy recovery!
Wow!! I am so very happy for you! It’s like you’re speaking from my heart too. I have always had crooked, messed up, and embarrassing teeth…like my entire life! I’m also terrified of the dentist. I also have an auto immune disease that has just demolished my teeth with cavities and pretty much exactly what you’ve described with yours. I’m super interested in this dental center in Florida! Thank you so much for sharing!! It truly is an answer to a prayer❤️ Sending lots of love and prayers from Texas!
Autoimmune Sjögren’s leads to so many women (some men) loosing their teeth. Years of pain and regular dental cleanings and care but my teeth and gum hurt 24/7. Shame Medicare and most insurance wont cover dental and work the type work this disease causes.
Dental health affects your entire body. Good for you that you are dealing with this issue. You will be happier and healthier in the future. Have a fast recovery!
im going through the same thing bro with abcess all the time mine broke off to the gums when i was younger im just ashamed and scared to go get them removed!!maybe one day i can afford to do the same thing your doing!!
Thanks to you and this video, I'm am going to have this done, I'm only 55, but my teeth have turned to shit in a matter of a short few years, a lot of it is my bad, but I can't go back in time, I I can do is move forward, thank you for your courage, God bless.
I just found your channel on Jan 25 2023, and I was binge watching/working my way through your many restorations videos (love your artistic eye and envy your mad skills), when I saw you documented your implant journey. I've only watched the 1st of your four videos, and I'm scared but excited to watch the remaining videos, because I've been procrastinating for a while having the exact same procedure done. I have Sjogren's syndrome, which is an autoimmune disease that's attacks the lacrimal and salivary glands, so my eyes and especially my mouth are always very dry. Not one doctor told me how terribly Sjogren's would affect my teeth until after they just started falling apart. Of couse then we had the covid pandemic, so now my teeth are either cracked, broken in half or completely missing (5). I understand being self conscious and not wanting to smile or talk to anyone-it's beyond embarrassing, so I thank you profoundly from the bottom of my heart for documenting your journey. ♥︎
I had upper and lower full implants finished a year ago. Not as good as natural teeth, but like you it was a choice of dentures or implants. Easy decision
Don’t be embarrassed. Lots of people have anxiety over going to the dentist. I have this problem as well and it’s now going to cost me a fortune. I applaud you for finally getting this taken care of, you are going to be so happy. I’m super happy for you. Get well soon and we will be here when you are ready for new videos. Thank you for being brave enough to share this with us. ❤️

Just come live over here in the UK. I’d say around half of us have awful teeth!
How do you pay for it
@@kyndalsworld662 I was able to save half but the rest I borrowed a home equity line of credit.

Been considering starting a YT Channel to document my process and progress, and what I do day to day(mostly nothing fighting my head and trying to force myself to get up, not always successful)
Thinking about doing a go fund me or the like. Not sure people give enough of a fuck about other peoples issues.
Hope this helps you with your confidence and mental health.
Bless you for sharing. Keep strong.
Being a fan of YT Dr. Pimple Popper and Toe Bro channels, I like watching this type of content. I considered this PG but still good 👍.
(You know the nightmarish merry-go-round it is.)
I'd like to encourage you to start that UA-cam channel, because I think people would definitely watch it.
It's something we *do* need to talk about, especially considering the myriad of reasons behind advanced tooth decay (pregnancy, genetics, facial trauma, incorrect medications and/or dosages, clinical depression, etc.)
I believe there's a whole community of people out here, just looking for someone to relate to on this issue, because let's be real - dentistry is faaaarking expenno', and a good majority of our fellow humans really don't have the financial means to get a full mouth reconstruction.

I have a denture but my gag reflex is so strong, I have to keep taking it out 🙁
In Turkey, the dental surgeon ,s can put you new bone in ! 😊
@@smh1072Can bone grafting be done on you?
As someone who had terrible teeth very young, I have had 2 kids with NO meds, and nothing hurts like obsessed teeth. I got dentures in my twenties ,and have never regretted it. Hopefully everything goes great for you, good luck.
Similar for me . . Started losing em in my 20s . The rest in my 30s
Abscessed.
Where did you go to get your implants done?
Me too. I looked like a gummy old gurner, my chin would vanish under my top denture as i had no bottom teeth at all.. it was horrendous
Hope everything goes good for you.
Just stumbled in myself, similar story... Definitely wishing you the best of luck!
I feel you.. so afraid of dentist. My teeth are so bad
Hey!! As long as you have good bone, you should have no issues!!! You can do it!! ❤
How is it going now do you got you're implants how do they feel?
My sister had this done in her late 30’s she had problems since she was a kid with her teeth. She seems really happy. It was painful but worth it
I wish health insurance covered teeth because you need them to eat and be healthy. I have missing and broken teeth and what they charge for implants, root canals and dentures is just crazy. Implants would cost me a years pay. Teeth aren't cosmetic they are necessary
If they're necessary we should all learn as a child how important your only set of teeth is. Same for your eyes.
Go to affordable dentures and implants, they have offices all over the country! You can get a full arch done starting at 5k
Annoys me that fat pigs get free treatment and money, so do immigrants yet teeth sufferers like us get no help..
As a Mom of 2 grown men, I'm very proud of you. You are doing the right thing. You're very brave to let all your followers see what you're going through!
Thanks for sharing your story. I hope your healing is quick and you can get back to eating and smiling again!

I hope you are no longer in constant pain and that you healed well from the surgery and you were given a new lease on life. xxx
How have dentures been for you? I may need to get them soon I am in my 30s. I'm worried about my face changing or struggling to eat and speak etc...
Happy for you
I’m so proud of you! This is a huge act of self love and care! You are Amazing!Praying for a smooth a quick healing process.
Bud. You are so brave. Thank you for being so authentic. You don’t know how many people you’ve helped. ❤ New sub for life.
Thanks for subbing!
Delivery pain is same you can imagine
Many women claim dental pain is worse than giving birth.
@@ThatShabbyGuy hi i am happy to see you reply me i am still watching your videos i found your channel this morning and you are right labour pain is different in women some face worse pain and its not that bad for some i have 50 % bone loss in my teeth i am so much worried i have gum disease so much bleeding from gums i didn't lost any of my teeth no cavities just because of gum disease i am suffering i don't know what will happen but i am happy for you
Facts. My mom said dental pain is worse pain than her having her 4 kids.
@@ThatShabbyGuyMy mom said teeth pain is was way worse pain than giving birth pain which she did 4 times.
Best of luck and prayers for a quick healing, my husband desperately needs this, he suffers in pain every single day! I pray 1 day he will be blessed with the procedure he needs
Great series Ryan! I fully understand the embarrassment of unhealthy teeth. You did a great job documenting this process.
This is awesome! So happy for you! Can’t wait to see you confident and smiling at the camera.
@@craigdowling2610manifest what you want. You aren’t a victim. You are powerful.
I have to get upper implants... getting 5 of them in the next 6 months....thank you for your opinion, sir....your teeth are gonna look great..
Congratulations Ryan. You are a very brave young man. Praying for your rapid healing.
*so proud*
I am a great grandmother and wish you were not going thru this alone. However, you are seemingly a bright young man and are very brave! I suffered many years with bad teeth and pain. You are right to do this now as it will open up your life and you will be so happy. I too had to have all my teeth removed after many painful years. I have studs in my mouth also and love them. It does take a little getting use to, so do not be discouraged. It will take a couple of months before you will be completely comfortable with them. Don't give up. Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Deborah
I’m so proud of you for overcoming your fears of the dentist! I know nothing I can say will make it easier, but just wanted to say I’m proud of you!
Só Brave!! displaying such a delicate Change ,from hiding to showing how strong the a persons Will can bem, dispite the pain can be!
Good luck to you! I’ve had 2 dental implants and it was the best decision.
I've been chickening out to go to the VA for dental implants but watching this has given me confidence. I found out two months ago that I am eligible for dental and at 62 yrs old it's time
Get it done. It is very important to your health.
$82,000.00
Yup!
$82,000.00
My retirement money!
Did they use general anaesthesia?
No, just local but I could have asked for general. @@pmitchell6819
How are they holding up?
@@eeZyy_
I’ve heard that Turkey has just everything you need that’s dental, hair and body. But $14,000 Euros is a lot of money.
Sending best wishes and prayers for speedy recovery.
I did this at Clear Choice. It is painful but worth every bit. At mine, though, you don’t leave the office without a temporary set. I love it.
All the best to you 🦷 ❤️
Thank you for being so thoughtful to record this. Its encouraging to people like me who have dental phobias.
I'm glad it helped. Stay strong 💪
(The Hard Way)
My Mom had all her uppers pulled in her 30s.
Mouth pain is wicked. I'm glad to hear that you're going to be pain free
It truly is an answer to a prayer❤️
Sending lots of love and prayers from Texas!
Autoimmune Sjögren’s leads to so many women (some men) loosing their teeth. Years of pain and regular dental cleanings and care but my teeth and gum hurt 24/7. Shame Medicare and most insurance wont cover dental and work the type work this disease causes.
I'm going through the same thing. The cost is the worst part. You'll be so happy when its all over. I'll be looking forward to seeing that smile.
Praying/sending happy thoughts that everything goes well.
I’m so glad you are doing this for yourself. You are worth it and I’m proud of you!
I had upper and lower full implants finished a year ago. Not as good as natural teeth, but like you it was a choice of dentures or implants. Easy decision
Wishing you the best with your procedure and look forward to seeing your furniture work back soon! Prayers for success and desired results for you.
