I was late for my appointment by 3 hours after my flight was delayed. There were no issues, I showed my QR code from their confirmation email and went through security quickly without removing my shoes. I was randomly searched multiple times in the airport but they did not find anything.

this could be one of those videogame backrooms videos. random barriers all over the place that make no sense (for example at 8:03 on the right side. just an empty square barrier for nothing) . empty corners. signs facing the wrong direction.
There is water leaking that‘s why there is the barrier. 🙂

My flight departs at 5am and I arrive there at around ~2am heh

I’ve to say that the BER airport is one of the few airports I really dislike. And ironically I’m from there. They don’t tell you what track is down at the station you’ve to go down to see and then go up again to find the right track. You’ve to walk like 15 min from the actual airport just to get to the train. Terminal 2 duty free is a disaster. Like other airport have better even the small one I departure from which was Værnes airport had a better duty free. Honestly do better at airport Berlin.

That’s one ugly airport. And all those stairs. And no people mover conveyor belts. And it looks like you have to walk for miles on end.
The new security is an improvement. Hopefully they figure out their airport issues

Travelators - YES, they exist, try opening your eyes and not judge a big airport by a 9min video

The airport does exactly what the architects wanted it to be: Big, but feel small and have a home-y living room atmopshere.
