Hy Alex, the origami starts ONLY from 0:20 !
Untill that time it is ONLY the preparing process of obtaining the right shape and proportions of the paper he/ she uses!
The process of obtaining the needed shape of the paper is presented to us to know how he/she obtained that shape and proportions and to know the steps to obtain it !
For every shape of paper(pentagon for example,used to make a origami flower) you will want to know how to get that shape!
"Not cutting the paper" in ORIGAMI is reffering to not cutting ONCE you start making the first crease of the model!
Before that you CAN cut as much as you want(I mean as much your model will require!)
So then!, from the start of the model there is no cutting and for that it is ORIGAMI !
...and NOT kirigami.

Very beautiful ornament. Video not very useful as a tutorial.
I can not see what you are doing on the last folding its too fast!
You may adjust the speed by yourself by clicking the wheel on the bottom of the video, changing it from normal to 0.5.
Why are you doing it so fast? i cant even tell what your doing!
you know there's a pause button that you can do for every step....
And if you don't want to use the pause button you can actually slow the play back speed down to 3/4 time, 1/2 time or even 1/4 time. Isn't technology grand.
