Dirk turnaround was so nasty even after his prime that shit was just art man im glad I got to experience Wade, Kobe,Vince, and Dirk definitely the highlight of my childhood
I was born in 2002 but I was lucky enough to see them still play when they were around there prime. Even luckier to witness the greatness of Bron, KD, Steph, Kawhi, Russ and CP3 to name a few from my generation.
Still sad that VC never really had that “this will be my last game” mentality going into that game knowing the season was postponed in the middle of the game.
Watching Kobe last game was legendary, not to know what was to come afterwards.. just seeing the pure joy is his face when he retired... Glad the Lakers won the chip that year even though it didn't ease the pain .. that's just what the world needed through those times
How little Kobe got to enjoy his life after the game affects me a bit, even though he had more than most could dream. The dude only knew basketball, once it was over he was dead.
2005, just started watching NBA at 18-19. All that hype around Bron, Wade, Melo.. the faces of the league, Kobe, Shaq, Duncan. Feels like yesterday but man, it happened ages ago.
For real man, I was still a kid at that time but I remember it like it was yesterday, all the kids having cornrows because of Melo and Iverson, that was really a time!
Imagine if Wade stayed just one more year… could be have been the difference between a second-place finish and a ring for the Heat in 2020? His presence would’ve done something in that series, especially vs. LeBron.

You know what the only star here that I'd admire the most is Dirk the only player that I knew that brings a chip without any legit all-star surround him.... Taken down a healthy Lakers, an three headed MVP of OKC and the Big Three of Miami... Mic drop
Chris Bosh and Dirk Nowitzki were my 2 idols growing up. I still have my Bosh jersey from like 2007. I was 4 or 5 when I got it and now I have to wear the one my sister got for it to remotely fit XD. Being half Canadian and Half German, being from the Toronto area to boot, Dirk and Bosh were the guys who's moves I'd try to emulate in the backyard after watching their games.
