What is your favorite current Seamaster dive watch and watch in the catalog as a whole? ALSO, one correction, this watch is a master Co-Axial chronometer but is not METAS certified. Despite this watch maintaining a heavy presence in the Seamaster catalog, I think so much of the line's marketing/resources have been carried by the Diver 300M over the last several decades with the James Bond connection. Looking forward, I feel it is time for a refresh soon and this watch (in my opinion) serves as a great place to look in my eyes. This currently is my favorite Seamaster diver offered, however, thinning the case, updating the bracelet to be all brushed instead of the high polish, providing more dial color options (in stainless steel), and providing options for those that might not like the faux patina could go a long way in disrupting the competitive range of divers available in the price range. Thanks again for watching and supporting me!
mine is the 36mm Seamaster 212.30.36.20.03.001. mostly because of the size. I adore the new one with the blue wave dial, but 42mm is like me wearing a dinner plate on my wrist...now on to watch the video Teddy
I like the quartz goldeneye SMP 300. Or the new wave dial SMPC 300. To me a Seamaster must have a wave dial. I also love the Seamaster 300, but hate the fake lume patina.
This one has the liquidmetal ceramic bezel which is often overlooked. Imo that alone makes this one look stunning. The new one, not so much. Especially with the cutout numerals that screams Panerai. I'm good with this one.
Hey Teddy, I recently bought this watch and I smile every time I look at it. It's absolutely gorgeous and plays well with lighting. It just looks so different depending on what kind of lighting hits it. That ceramic sandblasted dial is such a treat in direct lighting, offsets the midnight black gloss of the ceramic bezel perfectly. The movement in mine is about 1 sec a day fast, and my only concern is it's definitely a scratch magnet. I'm learning to cope though. I switch it constantly from the NATO strap to the bracelet, both look phenomenal, but from a distance, it screams mystery and elegance with the bond nato. An the round size is perfect. Thanks for the beautiful review, you're right.

Teddy, thank you for always putting in the lug to lug in your videos. I don't understand why other watch reviewers don't think that lug to lug width isn't important because that's one of the biggest factors for selecting a watch beyond just case size for me. Knowing this is huge for evaluating the wearability of a watch if I can't try it on in person.
The Seamaster is my Watch I really want, and in the used Market it appears I can get one 2K-3k range. I love the blue face with the ceramic wavy face. Great video Teddy!

Teddy - this version of the Seamaster 300 is absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for your video because it helped me understand all the versions choose. I picked one up gently used. Pictures do no justice. Absolutely love it! Feels substantial on the wrist. I like the bulk. You are 100% right with your choice. Couldn't be happier.
Your video helped influence me to purchase this model Omega. I like the second hand on these earlier models as opposed to the lollipop second hand on the new version.👍👍
I bought this exact watch this past November with both the bracelet and the leather strap with clasp. It quickly became my favorite watch and has become my daily (office) wear. I wear it 3-5 days a week and then switch to a Seiko or Oris for the weekends. It is so comfortable and beautiful.
As a proud owner of the Spectre 300, it is indeed a stunning piece! After producing this piece I was so disappointed with the release of the Seamaster No Time To Die watch! The seamaster 300 is a stylish, timeless looking timepiece! Thank you for the video 👍
David Barr couldn’t agree more about the newest Bond watch. I think the 300 could have been the basis for a few more Bond watches. The new one seems like they tried too hard. I would like a 21mm titanium mesh, but the new one is 20mm, I believe.
I bought this watch in December 2014 and have loved it for almost full 7 years. I think I love it now even more than the first few months when I bought it. You can dress it up or down. You can go to a boardroom with it, or to the beach and go swimming, diving and/or fishing. A fantastic watch, whose value will only grow. But regardless, I will never sell it. How good this watch is is shown by the fact that it's retail price is $ 300 more than the second generation Seamaster 300 from 2021. The only 2 advantages of the second generation are: 1.) it is thinner and 2.) center links on the bracelet are brushed rather than polished.
I believe Omega sees this model as the flagship in the seamaster line as they have released many variations using precious metals such as platinum and gold, not to mention the use of exotic materials like those used on the crazy blue and green dials. I own a steel model myself, and I have to admit that I like it a lot more over my no date sub. The omega has much more personality, even if the overall fit and finish of the sub is slightly better. Great review teddy, I'm a big fan!
I think you might be right but what OMEGA thinks internally and what they project with their offering is sometimes different haha. I feel like the Seamaster Diver 300M is their moneymaker ever since Goldeneye. Looking at the amount of skus too, the Diver 300M has 3 times the amount of variations to that of this line. I think there is more to be done here as I agree, there is tons of charm here. Thanks for watching and appreciate the support, David!
@@TeddyBaldassarre I see what you mean and couldn't agree more, there's definitely some confusion on their business decisions, and that's being translated in their messy product line and confusing marketing. Thanks for the reply mate, keep the good work!
I own it along with the original Bond Seamaster (Quartz version). This is one of my favorites in my collection and probably the one that gets the most wear next to my Navitimer. As far as bang for the buck I can’t think of a better watch. I found mine new at an AD for $4,300 and for that you are getting a very accurate in house movement with 15,000 Gauss magnetic protection and a 60 hour power reserve. Plus the build quality and how it sits on your wrist is excellent. Some will be off put by its thickness but on the wrist it sits much slimmer because of the contoured side profile, like you said much different than the Tudor Black Bay. Also I don’t really see it as fake patina as much as I see it as a more subdued, alternate color to pure white on the dial. The subdued beige/white looks great in person in my opinion. Anyways, once again a great review Teddy. Well done.
Dude. Great comment. I have one too and agree with everything you said. Its such an elegant piece. Sometimes I feel ashamed wearing it with more casual clothing, but thankfully I have the diver wave dial 2018 to take care of that!
This is the exact video I’ve been looking for. About to pull the trigger on one of these pre-owned. Great video Teddy. I agree that this is the best iteration of the Seamaster diver
I have the same Omega Seamaster 300 - had it for 3 years now and love it. I like switching from the bracelet to the Omega “Bond Grey/Black” Nato strap. I do really like the vintage look - I wish the bracelet clasp wasn’t so bulky.
I have the same watch and when i switch to NATO it feels like the watch is flopping around on my wrist. Tried the same thing on a BB blue and in both cases went back to the steel bracelet
My 2531.80 from I think the year 2000, bought brand new, wore it virtually everyday until I dabbled with the Apple Watch, soon put the Omega back on. It’s taken a back seat to my 2019 Sub date but I think it’s due some time on the wrist tomorrow! Great video!
Excellent review, also my favorite of the Seamaster lineup. Clear and concise comparison of the three steel versions. Agree that Omega doesn't market this model the same.
I've owned 5 Seamasters in the last couple years and I think this is the best. I have the new SMPc incoming tomorrow so that may change but IMHO, this watch is awesome! Good video Teddy. Cheers
A very good video of a very underrated Omega imo. I just got it last month and I love it. It looks so good on the Omega Bond nato strap which is what I've been wearing mine with since getting it. What's not to love about it? Well some don't really like the lugs, but it has never bothered me. Its really underrated imo. It has tech that is really overlooked. In particular the Liquidmetal ceramic bezel that the SMP 2018 doesn't have. You forgot to mention the liquidmetal markings on the bezel of the watch. I also love the sand-blasted dial and the laser cut indices with the lume filled into them. All great technical processes that makes the watch what it is that looks understated and sadly overlooked by many. The more I look at the details of the watch closely, the more I appreciate what went into making it. Glad to say I'm a proud owner of this watch! Oh and by the way the patina on this isn't as bad as some have made it out to be. I think it looks fine. The new No Time To Die Bond watch for instance has patina screaming in your face compared to this one here.
These are amazing watches... I have the spectre version of this but I have to say, The Seamaster 300 1957 Trilogy is the one (which I also own). Its 39mm size is just so perfect in every way it's a reissue of the ck2913 and let's face it why not!!! It's the perfect timepiece for the 21st century gent with all the modern movements. I also have the tudor black bay 58 and the 300 trilogy takes 1st place everytime. It's the same case diameter as the black bay 58 (39mm) However due to its styling looks a little bigger and sits really well on the wrist. I've bought and sold so many different models over the years of so many different brands but I always come back to Omega and the Seamaster 300 trilogy or my Seamaster 300 Spectre are bang on perfect. They just wear really really well and are so well made. Great video, and if I didnt have the spectre model which is almost the same as this then I'd bag one of these too. If you can, try the 1957 Trilogy 300 for a weekend and do a video on it.. You will quickly be turned...👍👌
Harry 1561 Hey Harry, it wears slightly smaller than the spectre version. In my opinion is the best fitting watch. Everything about the Seamaster 300 trilogy is perfect. Hope that helps.
I recently bought the Spectre version - the symmetry of the 12 hr bezel, lollipop second hand, elimination of the 12 to clean up the top of the dial and the all brushed bracelet were all elements that I preferred over the “standard” version. While not super limited at 7007, there are only a handful available at any time with the full kit and papers, which made the steeper price tag more palatable than say current street pricing for a Submariner where there are so many available.
I am one of the few lucky ones that has the Limited edition Spectre... Present from my wife several years ago. I don't wear it too often b/c of my rotation in collections, but 1 gripe I definitely have is the bracelet. It has very unrefined link edges that feel sharp. Problem solved changing to a leather strap. Very classy and respectable watch. Keeps excellent time, and I actually do use the bezel to rotate it to a different time zone!
Awesome video. It's actually what I asked for in that tudor blackbay 36 Instagram post. This is a super underrated watch. It wears smaller than the on paper specs. One thing to note related to that, the case is actually 39.3mm. The bezel is 41mm and Omega uses that stat for their measurements. So, this one really needs to be tried on before dismissing. Great video!
I bought the titanium version (grade 5). I’ve had it for over a year now and it is, by far, my daily watch. It just doesn’t scream, “I’m a Rolex Submariner! Look at me, dammit!” I’ve taken this watch to a few third-world countries and nobody is any the wiser for it. Much more subdued and Omega did the right thing with mass producing the master co-axial chronometer movement.
Ever since I came across your vlog, I have become a watch enthusiast. I watch your review cause I like your taste. It mirrors mine. I like man watches for the boyfriend watch look and feel man line is much sufisticated thank ours. I have collected eight pieces since. I'm fascinated.
Agreed. For me, the 2254.50 will remain as an all time classic. It does not wear big but sits very low on my wrist. Later 300s are OK, but have somehow lost that 2254 magic.
Just want you to know that I started my collection because of you! Cheaper start than this, got the Sternglas Naos Automatik and a Dan Henry 1962. Two cheaper watches that I can have fun with. Thanks for the great content.
I have this watch in the blue titanium. It’s a favorite of mine but it’s a fingerprint magnet. The bracelet is so good that a nato or other strap just doesn’t do it justice. A solid Sub competitor. Great video man!
Jared Wolf I have the same one in titanium as well, and it is a fingerprint magnet. I keep a plastic tub of liquid jewelry polish and drop in in there for 20 seconds-all good again.
Jared Wolf I drop the whole think into the almost water-like fluid, swish it around and run it under warm water afterwards while moving the bezel a bit so none of the wash stays in there. I figured if it’s good to 300 meters, the whole thing can go in.
Very nice elegant vintage style. Although I like the waives on the dial and think that the escape valve has became an icon detail for the seamaster, I love that piece. It shows how versatile Omega can be.
I'm partial to the Seamaster 300 pro with the vintage sword hands. There's something about those hands and having the minute markers all around the bezel that makes it seem like the ultimate tool watch.
I was undecided whether to go for the Seamaster 300 or the Tudor Black Bay GMT. After watching your video, I decided in favour of the Omega. Thank you for the detailed presentation.
I'm with you on this one Teddy. I have the 300 & love it as it was a present 20 odd years ago & pushed into the bottomless pit of this hobby. This variation is the best & Omega would do well to slim the lines down & focus on this with different dial colours. Maybe even a few hand finished movements...
Agreed buddy. I too would like some hand-finished movements, but let's be real, we can expect an added zero to the price which would take away the intrigue for me :(
@@TeddyBaldassarre I think if PP, VC & ALS can do it for 30K I really think the might of Omega could do this. That being said they need to build this model up in the public consciousness first before taking that kind of step. Excellent video as ever BTW 👍🏻
Very beautiful design. But throughout my watch journey, I've come to realize how much I check the date on my watch. Even more so than the time. For that reason the date window is an absolute must for me.
Great review! What a beauty. I really like the waveless diver, it has such depth to the dial, although I wish they’d lose the He escape valve, which serves no purpose whatsoever, even though I’m a diver. The review model is a real classic though.👍
As usual a great video 👌nothing better than a nice time piece. keep up the good work. How about a review of one of the mire affordable hamilton? Lots of watches in my collection but love a Hamilton.
Personally, I'm all ALL IN with Tudor. , More specifically, Tudor's Heritage Black Bay line up gets my nod & wink of approval. As a U. S. Marine, having learn ed the history of Tudor supplying my sister service, with tutor dive watches for many years prior, I feel a connection with The Brand! My first "REAL" timepiece was the Reference 79220B. Last Friday, I was blessed and able to acquire one of my Tudor "Holy Grail" models, Reference 79230R! I really love their direction Tudor took with the vintage appeal and new in-house Caliber MT5602 movement; EXCELLENT! Having said that, THIS specific Omega model has always caught my eye with its seemingly vintage aesthetics! I enjoy the lack of a date complication, faux patina and similar to my Tudor the ALMOST-smoothed machined bezel edge which provides just enough grip texture for rotation, without the unappealing appearance of chunky knurling. With this watch and all aforementioned features I enjoy, the broadsword hands by far, are my FAVORITE! I have targeted four more watches I need to acquire, and This very specific model Omega is the ONLY Non-Tudor model I desire! You did an OUTSTANDING review, I sincerely enjoyed it, the accompanying watch details and I have SUBSCRIBED as a result!👍 I totally agree with you, Omega should HIGHLY consider, Listening to current as well as potential buyers to see if there would be a interest, venturing out and providing a few variations of this specific model. I feel it would attract more non-Omega (Don't confuse me with being anti-Omega!) Watch Lovers like myself to the brand; possibly introducing us to other models within Omega's lineup! Semper Fi! ⚡⚡💪🏾
Hey Teddy, those are two special watches! Im gonna have to go with the James Bond Spectre, loving the 0 at the top of the bezel , I love how the the dial is cut out to present the faux patina hour markers below the dial , looking amazing what is that called again, when the dial is cut out? Also the beveled edge on the broad arrow hour hand, absolutely beautiful.... dont get me started on that lolipop! killn it! My Favorite Diver in the Seamaster Professional Range is the Planet Ocean GMT Deep Black Blue, I love this watch so much! The ceramic finished makes it so robust and damage proof... that one i will have forever! (we hope) :) Great stuff as always! Best Wishes!
I own this watch and it is probably the watch that I wear the most. I have a descent collection with a Rolex Datejust II, a Tudor BB GMT, Omega Globemaster, several Tags and other options... but this is try go to. I think it is undercover cool. I see so many Subs, and this feels so different and cool with the glossy but subdued dial and bezel.
Will have to take a closer look. Lots to like about this understated yet classy looking piece. I actually much prefer the arrow on the hour hand rather than the Aquaterra configuration which looks off to me. No silly helium escape cup cake wart on the case which just shows how redundant that is with an amazing 300m depth rating so you can play in the sea or any swimming pool with confidence on the bracelet. Nice adjustability too. It’ll wear quiety on the wrist and seems versatile for strap option comparability but in house only as the dreaded 21mm sizing kills off lots of after market options. Funny how 21mm is creeping in though maybe it’ll be a standard sizing in a few years. The other plus is that other Omegas get all the attention while this one you just won’t see around so often which is cool. Nice presentation as always Sir.
One the most beautiful videography here man, one thing I love is the recessed lume hiding underneath the dial peeking through. BTW My brother is at Bob's Watches right now trying on the Speedmaster as well as the dateless Sub...he's texting me pics ;)
All of Omega’s watches are a great value, I own three. As you say the Seamaster is as good or better than the Rolex Sub for 1/2 the cost. I just purchased a new diver 300 blue wave dial with the blue rubber strap. Very pleased
Dave, I own Omega’s and Rolex’s among other luxury brands. When you compare dollars and value, new or pre-owned, Omega is the winner. So get off your Rolex horse and be open minded. Personally I can’t pay retail or more for a per-owned watch. I can wait till to Rolex market becomes normalized. While I’m waiting I will spend 10K on a FP Journe Elegante.
@@davidofglenbrook4487 That’s the pot calling the kettle black. There are far more Rolex fanboys out there than Omega. Rolex is just a symbol of status. There hasn’t been anything special about them in years imho
Great video, you really put all aspects of this watch. I agree it is more appealing than the 300 diver, and more effort in this one should be done from Omega, I personally like the steel /yellow gold 😍. I love your videos, excellent!
@@13Tyresgo for it, yes there are many great options out there for the same money, but this will not be a regret. Teddy is right, the numbers don’t tell the full story. That thickness and case diameter with the lug to lug is very wearable even for smaller wrist size like myself due to the design. The only con for me personally is the 21 mm width on bracelet and polished center links. Doesn’t seem to be consistent with the vintage vibe. Still very nice quality and it’s currently on the original bracelet despite this.

I have the same watch and when i switch to NATO it feels like the watch is flopping around on my wrist. Tried the same thing on a BB blue and in both cases went back to the steel bracelet
Better than the latest 2021 rendition.
I like the seconds hand on the old one.
Could not agree more on the choice. This is the best current production Seamaster.
I was 90% sold on this video alone-- just needed a wrist shot for that last bump! Great videos as always though.
A very well done & timed (no pun intended) review, Teddy!
Thank you.
In just the past few days, I've been looking into adding a Seamaster to my hoard.
Haha thanks, Marcelo. After seeing those memes, I think that pun was intended.
@@TeddyBaldassarre 😉
Another good video Teddy you've Ben knocking out of the box with your interviews and the content plus the photography getting better All the time !!
Such an excellent review with nice close-up shots . Thank you very much .
Another great video Teddy! This and the speedmaster moonwatch are the Omegas to get.
Love that watch. The numbers almost look like they are stitched. Awesome!
I've owned 5 Seamasters in the last couple years and I think this is the best. I have the new SMPc incoming tomorrow so that may change but IMHO, this watch is awesome! Good video Teddy. Cheers
I really like Seamaster Aqua Terra line. Modern case with great curved lugs, comfortable crown, nice strap options, beautiful dials
Hello from Australia! This is the one I own. Nice video Teddy!
Greetings from the states, Vince! Thanks for watching!
Hey Vincent I am from Australia too! Go Aussie!
Does the 300 trilogy wear the same as the 300 Spectre or a little slimmer??
Seamaster Trilogy for me! Sheer class. So cool, though the standard 300 is a lovely watch - in my view, more interesting than a Sub. Nice review!
I just got the sea master dive 300 M
with the white dial and black ceramic bezel. A stunning watch! With stunning specs!
I bought it recently. I own a few pieces and this is my absolute favorite. Stunning piece and unbelievable quality.
I have this 2020 model in titanium with blue dial and the original calf leather strap as well as the titanium bracelet. Such a great watch.
What a good, measured review. Great work, Teddy 👍
Bought it 10 month ago for my 50th birthday and love it. (wear it in exchange with the Speedy, Junghans Max Bill Chronoscope and Sinn 556i)
A great combination of Seamaster and Speedmaster two superb timeless watches.
Great video Teddy! Had to go to my watch box to put this one on mid video 😆
Tried on a 300m Diver today - blue with gray wave dial and blue rubber strap. Awesome watch!
This and the planet ocean are some of my favorite divers in the omega lineup! Great looking watch!
Ever since I came across your vlog, I have become a watch enthusiast. I watch your review cause I like your taste. It mirrors mine. I like man watches for the boyfriend watch look and feel man line is much sufisticated thank ours. I have collected eight pieces since. I'm fascinated.
Easily one of my favorite watches, it’s top 3 on my dream list
This is a great offering from Omega but my favorite diver from them is still the 2254.50. It's just a beautiful watch.
agreed - never bettered
I really like those old ones too, I think with a wave dial they would be amazing
Agreed. For me, the 2254.50 will remain as an all time classic. It does not wear big but sits very low on my wrist. Later 300s are OK, but have somehow lost that 2254 magic.
I have both and the 2254 is probably the most wearable modern omega out there
I have watches 10 times its price in my collection, yet this is and will always be my favorite 😍
Love your videos. Keep up the good work!
Just want you to know that I started my collection because of you! Cheaper start than this, got the Sternglas Naos Automatik and a Dan Henry 1962. Two cheaper watches that I can have fun with. Thanks for the great content.
Welcome to the great world of watches, Andrew. Enjoy the journey buddy and honored to know I had an impact so far!
The faux patina makes this watch versatile . It matches so well with a brown strap . This watch gives you variety for any occasion
Hey bro, really respect you and appreciate the quality of your videos.
Thanks buddy! Appreciate you watching!
That is a nice looking piece. I like the no date. I would never change the design. Timeless like the Speedy.
Another relaxing, informative video. Thx Teddy! 👌🏻
Gary Pettit - oh that’s an interesting idea. Do you put the whole watch in or just dip the bracelet? That probably makes it super shiny! Thanks
Omega might be my most favorite watch brand side to side with seiko. And it is my dream watch to own.
Your videos are the best!
Much more beautiful than the 2021 model..
OMEGA Seamaster 300 Spectre with the circle at the end of the second hand is the nicest of the series.
Amazing classic look watch, i tried it but the lug to lug range not fit on my small wrist, wish omega release the smaller version
Great review! I loved this watch. Just got myself one!
Yes Please!
Sold,,,
Great review Ted, nailed it Perfect
Well explained and spoken, great video, subbed ty sir
You did an OUTSTANDING review, I sincerely enjoyed it, the accompanying watch details and I have SUBSCRIBED as a result!👍
I totally agree with you, Omega should HIGHLY consider, Listening to current as well as potential buyers to see if there would be a interest, venturing out and providing a few variations of this specific model.
Im gonna have to go with the James Bond Spectre, loving the 0 at the top of the bezel ,
I love how the the dial is cut out to present the faux patina hour markers below the dial , looking amazing what is that called again, when the dial is cut out? Also the beveled edge on the broad arrow hour hand, absolutely beautiful.... dont get me started on that lolipop! killn it! My Favorite Diver in the Seamaster Professional Range is the Planet Ocean GMT Deep Black Blue, I love this watch so much! The ceramic finished makes it so robust and damage proof... that one i will have forever! (we hope) :) Great stuff as always! Best Wishes!
Yes! Spot on. Nice video mate
Thanks for watching, Tim!
Great video. Do you know anything about the Omega RAid? It was a kind of Aquaterra in 1973, but I do not find any mention anywhere. Keep going!
I’m so close to pulling the trigger on this watch. I just wish a date complication was available.
I just bought this watch. It is definitely a different level than level entry watches.
I have the Seamaster 300 and it’s absolutely perfect 👍👍
The blue dial version is also stunning
And also more expensive because that one is titanium.
Hahaha that is awesome and appreciate the kind words about the video.
Great review. I own this watch & completely agree with you. Big thumbs up!!!!
I love Omega Seamaster.
All of Omega’s watches are a great value, I own three. As you say the Seamaster is as good or better than the Rolex Sub for 1/2 the cost. I just purchased a new diver 300 blue wave dial with the blue rubber strap. Very pleased
Larry Mayo I was cursing down the comments just waiting for a Rolex comment. Obsessed, you Omega fanboys are...
4 years later after this video and obtaining this omega, here I am watching this again to appreciate what’s currently on my wrist.
And here am I trying to find a reason not to pick one up. It’s a beauty.
