Hello, I am from Turkey. I was born in a Muslim family, like 90% of the population in my country. I tell you this with all my heart, Jesus is very different. Christianity is very different. It took me a long time to break away from Islam, but it didn't hurt. But my attachment to Christianity is very different. I love Jesus with very tight ties, to the point of death. His humility, his compassion. His mercy towards the Canaanite woman, his stance towards the world and evil... Lord, I don't know when I will die, but I know you will be in my heart until I die.

To me, this are the most moving chapters in the entire Bible, the emphasis of Jesus' divinity shines through his honest and direct word, and though this message is to the disciples, it feels like he is talking to the entirety of humanity. Oh how right you are Jesus, this world doesn't like us and neither do we like it, for we only want to be with you, our heavenly father, our lord and savior, the messiah, Christ, the lamb, the best gift that anyone can ever experience... You, Jesus of Nazareth, are the most divine thing ever, all the glory that can come out of anything is you, i love you, with all of my heart, and i hope to not lose faith and always walk with you, and through you, resist the temptation of this desolate world.

I feel conflicted, this is what Jesus told his disciples, but is this how he would speak to us? It doesn’t matter much if you focus on his point, I still think his point is valid, and maybe it’s just my ego talking, but I feel the need to remind everyone that the world we live in shapes us greatly, and the way we communicate, he had to undo so many pre-conceived notions of who the messiah was supposed to be, and he only had the world that surrounded him as inspiration to make sense of the lessons he received, he had to explain it in a way they would understand, using things and concepts they knew and twisting them a little bit to get his point across, but there is so much more to our world, would Jesus reference UA-cam if he spoke to us today? Would he compare himself to a president instead of a master to servant? I don’t know, I have to remember not everyone is like me, but I’d like to think more people have stayed faithful to his message of peace and love, yet even I have committed plenty of sins, and will probably commit more, is this really how he would speak to me? I don’t know what I’m asking for here, maybe I’m just sad I’ll never get to meet him, I’ll never get to know what he would think of me, or us. this world can be such a treacherous place, maybe I just wish I had something besides my minds version of him. Maybe I just wish I knew for sure if Jesus would be proud of me, or if I stain his legacy with all my philosophical questioning 😔. Language is an imperfect tool, it’s so hard to know for sure what people mean with just the surface level of their words, how much depth am I supposed to gleam from your message O lord?
There’s the message and then there’s the reason. Jesus’s messages was to grasp people but only so so that they CHOOSE Him. If jesus demonstrated his true essence to people it would not be authentic when they choose Him. It almost be out of fear to side with the true god. God granted us free Will and his humbleness to form human and endure as us respects that. I feel I know the essence of life and reasons for most things big picture not only because Im open minded but because I constantly ask the lord if i am right and to show me what is. And over the years I can honestly say life is a test. A stage really, you’ve sinned in time and can be forgiven through it. But only in Time. Eternity afterwards as we’ve been, is definitely defined. The side you choose is the side you sow. Time is the grace by the lord to realize you’ve sinned and correct it before the cells in your body can no longer serve you and return to god and you die. The way in which Jesus decided to die is symbolic. He died for a thug murderer who is horrible. Yet nonetheless, gave everything for. You are that thug murderer he gave his life for. The thug that in the coming days he sweat blood out of torment for. He knew how he would die days before and it tortured him mentally so much so that his own body sweat blood. All for what? God damn, all for us.
Amen brother, he was the Lamb of God whose blood washed away all of our sins so that we might live forever in the kingdom of god. For a wretch like me who battles with sin everyday, he chose to walk alongside me and redeem my soul. My lord my king, the lion of the tribe of Judah thank you for your choosing me.

Bro the fact you feel this way is not bad but the answer is there, you don’t know what Jesus feels because you lack companionship with him “seek and you shall find me” let go of the ego. Let go of the overthinking and tell Jesus truly in you’re heart mind and soul, Lord Jesus I want to know you for who you truly are, work your will in my life and your will be done not mine, have the helper (Holy Spirit) bring me closer to you, I want to get to truly know you I accept you in my heart.
