People in rural areas are already struggling to access to what they need. This isn't going to help.
I am in a rural area and I am doing fine. If the government didn’t take so much money I would be doing better.
CA needs to keep this federal program more than any other state ! We have 40 million residents . We have one of the largest unhoused populations that often rely on libraries for their internet access . We have the 4th largest economy in the world (nearing the 4th?) yet we don’t have single payer healthcare . We don’t have affordable housing or guaranteed food security . We don’t have safe schools or safe neighborhoods. Yet we have one of the largest law enforcement budgets in the nation . California is an example of failure on all fronts on a global scale. We invested most of our money in expensive programs that had no accountability. Even the housing programs were found to have people embezzling the money . The roads and bridges programs had embezzlement issues. Tax collection offices - embezzlement. Food programs - embezzlement. Water boards - nepotism positions appointed by connections with high political office leaders and salaries in excess of $500k and they don’t do anything but have meetings and make policies . None of the water board brings a single drop of water to Californians. I’ve lived here all my 60 yrs and it is a sh*thole now ! Thanks politicians

The internet is like electricity. You really can't function in a modern world without it. Everything is internet based.
This past Saturday the IMF warned the US administration to stop deficit spending. Programs like this will be squeased out to pay for debt service, defence, and Medicare.
No money for Americans to have access to the internet? Who’s charging? Here’s an idea….tell Raytheon, BAE,and Lockheed to pay the bill for Americans that can’t afford internet. We will call it “price of doing business “. And while we’re here, maybe they can pay for the medical care and housing of US veterans.

Free Internet is a waste. Internet is a distraction where you spend more time watching UA-cam than reading books. See, I'm watching UA-cam instead of reading my books. No Internet can be a good thing if you want to study without distraction.

Most stories from California are about what people are losing. Insurance, restaurants, grocery stores, property, safety, life. I'm sure there is much more.

The middle class has a less standard of living than the poor as we don’t get any subsidies. We have gone without internet( using our phones only) as our electricity went up to $500/month for 3 people in a small house. We are the ones paying for the subsidies but do not receive any ourselves.
stop lying. a household of 4 can qualify for this same program if they name under 60k. if you're making over 60k then you don't need the help
@@breannawade9867 in the SF Bay Area where a 1 bedroom apartment in a decent area(no bullets flying overhead) is going for at least $2500 per month. You due the math a family of 4 could not survive on $60,000. To survive on the basics( housing, food, insurance, bills) you would need at least 2 people working and making over $150,000 AGAIN just for the basics. Most people (not on subsidies! ) in the Bay Area also do other side jobs to be able to afford internet, higher electricity bills, higher water bills, and any type of entertainment for their kids. Now, you want to tell these people which are working their a** off to go ahead and pay more taxes because people which are able to get subsidies need another one ?!?!?
They have to fund the migrants thats why and this also what the people wanted when they went against Trump for the migrants to be here 🤷🏽♀️
