He’s absolutely brillant in Days Gone. His performance is so real, so powerful, so moving...I never felt something like this in a video game ! He’s truly a great actor.

Agreed i just recently beat the game it was such a wonderful game but because of his acting i havent been able to decide on the next game i want to play because i just dont see it being as good as this game. I just cant get this game out of my head since i beat it lol

Such a criminally underrated game! Sam Witwer is so amazingly good in this game and such a humble person. Taking time to acknowledge all the blood sweat and tears that developers go through to make a game this good. I've loved him in every role he's played. Deacon St. John, Starkiller, Maul, Crashdown, Davis Bloome, Aidan Waite, Mr. Hyde. Dude is just amazing!
Didn't know it was the same VA as Starkiller, my expectations are really high now. He did a great job in the Force Unleashed games.
He also plays Maul in Star Wars Rebels and played him in the Clone Wars. Hell, he even had a cameo as a stormtrooper in TFA.
He's also the Emperor in TFU and Rebels
and the Son in the clone wars

I just beat this game and I have to say it is the best game I’ve ever played. My respects to everyone involved in the making of this masterpiece.
People don’t give this game enough credit seriously. Super underrated game. Great story, great immersive map and amazing gameplay mechanics. I don’t even play it for a long time because ppl said it was bad but after it came out for free I played it and was blown away. Most games these days even tripple A titles are just a cash grab with micro transactions thay give people mind numbing shit to do. Great game to check out
Yeah I got it on sale at Best Buy and I've played through the story like 6 times. Its without a doubt one of the funnest games out there. Tons to do, open world is awesome, and it's cool it features real life places as well (There is a Lost Lake Camp in Oregon, as well as Mt Thielsen)
I can completely understand why people didn't like it, but I loved it, it felt like an old school game but with ALOT more substance and alot more to do, the story was decent too, but I enjoyed the world building alot more, it's not your usual post apocalyptic world, there's still a society and people are still pushing on despite everything@@jamiemeansjamesmusic

He's so damn cool. His performance in Days Gone is great, but his performance as Darth Maul in The Clone Wars is just brilliant.

Sam gave one of the best gaming performances of a character I've ever played. What makes it even more touching is that they modeled Deacon off the actor so it's almost surreal hearing his voice and seeing his face outside the game knowing everything you went through in the game as this character.
This guy has given us the greatest performance in videogames history, he's Deacon St. John is so deep and profound, is beyond words, I just finished the game a few days ago, my god, unforgetable performances, all the actors are stunning in this one. Thank you.
Sam's a great guy! Meet him at Star Wars Weekends some time back. Really down to Earth and always compliments and finds the good in everyone else! 😀
To me what made days gone so unique and one of my favourite zombie game is the acting. Its sooo good and very underrated

yea he is a really good voice actor it's so awesome that he has been able to get into voicing characters in games I could see him even doing anime if he really wanted to he brought so much into the games that he has been in I would like to see if the do another star wars unleashed but not likely

Samuel Witwer is my boy. I love all his work. HUGE fan of this game. Super nice and legit guy. I highly recommend the TV series Being Human if your unsure who he is.

BTW, the mainstream reviews are weird, can't understand the 5's and 6.5's. it's definetly a fun game with bugs and glitches being fixed later on, I would give it a 8/10 so far.
I just finished the game last night. The glitches don’t bother me, but there is one thing that does, which is the black screens in between every cutscene. Other than that, the game is absolutely amazing and beautiful.
@@shimo5636 Yeah, but that game is on Unreal engine, it's almost magic what they did there lol.
I mean, that's black screens limp a little of the pace of the story, but in Anthem for example, you got black screens just cause lol. Solid 8.5, maybe even a 9 with the planned free dlc.
I definitely give this game an 8.5/10. Just got the platinum for it yesterday. While none of the trophies are hard to get that should say something about the game because it’s the first platinum I’ve gotten. I wanted to do everything the game had to offer.
alelokox88 True. It’s a pretty damn realistic game too, other than the fact that you can get gas from pumps with nobody there lmao.
It had about 6 bugs. But that never ruined it. Floating cars. Stuck zombies on stairs. Guns sometimes not firing or going through the enemies. Sarah's hair displaying black and white lines on her hair.
this is a much better interview than the ones I've seen before. mainly the more popular ones.

Incredible game. Very underrated. Can’t understand why it got slated when it came out. I bought mine when it first released, I only ever had one glitch. Playing it again now for the third time. Sam’s performance as Deacon is amazing.
The amount of dialogue in this game was crazy, so I think any praise for his role in the game is deserved. A big shame they aren't doing a sequel.
Aside from being a great game; days gone had amazing acting imo. Very high quality. Bend and the actors deserve so much credit

I'm playing Days Gone for the second time and I love it just as much as during my first run. It's so sad that we will never get a sequel. Apart from that I wish Sam Witwer would get cast more often, get bigger roles. Such a talented and likeable actor.
I hope he shows up in a convention dressed up as deacon with the cap, beard and everything to surprise fans. Really cool guy

He did a great job in Days Gone. Played through it twice which I rarely do with any game. Personally I enjoyed this more than Last of Us.
I played thru it last year when I bought it and I thought no other games is gonna make me feel like this and it’s a beautiful performance

I love him. He's also the villian on the Supergirl TV show on CW. I hate his character, but love him. He plays intensity so well. I'm 5 minutes in on Days and I googled who the actor is. I knew it was him. Great way to start this game!!!

Days Gone is an awesome game. I don't understand why it got the reviews it did. Bend Studio hasn't really done huge titled games, except for Syphon Filter for PlayStation 1. They did the PlayStation Vita's Uncharted Golden Abyss, along with some PSP games. They'd never done an open world game before Days Gone. So I think under those circumstances, they did an amazing job. I've spoken to the writer, and creative director of the game on Twitter, as well as the game director, who both went to E3 to promote the game. The game director I spoke to, is the one that played the horde demo at E3 in 2016. They're awesome guy's.

Took me a while to realise that he is all of these characters. First i played days gone and loved it. Then i got in to star wars and didn’t even realise that he is voicing the son and darth maul. Then Star killer seemed fimilar so i went to check and ”surprised pikachu face”

Not a fan of most open world games but this one definitely has me intrigued.

I love playing on days gone on my last job on days gone I'd just completed the job then the hoarde showed up so it was a mad dash through a mine to get out and escape the hoarde and I reccently got the secret ending and I'm really looking foward to Days Gone 2 after seeing that
10/10 for me on PC. the gameplay was very fluid and responsive. the freaker hordes were crazy exhilarating. and the acting was pretty good and i very much liked the story too.

Nathan Hamberg damn dude hell yeah. I’ve beaten the game 4 times now and I’m done, until part 2. Such an amazing fking game. I did easy, then normal+ then survival and survival +. I’m goin for plat and all I need is the firefly/hunter jounrey completions for multiplayer and I’m done
Me. I played it 1.3 times (0.3 on PS3, then I got the PS4 one. I didn't finish it at first cause it's so boring, but after I beat Days Gone I finished it, and I still am not a fan of TLOU)

Days gone is an amazing game and now, 2021 with a lot of patches and bug fixes, this game is amazing. Id give the story a 10/10 and the gameplay an 8/10

LoU was a fantastic game that broke barriers and set standards - BUT Days Gone took that, hopped on a motorcycle and raced off down the road.
Great piece of art, period.
Such a rollercoaster of emotion and gameplay - so I'll be extremely sad if they choose not to release a sequel.
Unfortunately there won’t it was rejected back in 2019 because of the mixed reviews
