@@dlivanto No. Manual focusing is not very precise on TL2 even with its focus peaking, so it easier to use zone focusing with short focal length lenses. Magnification on recorded images to check focusing is possible.

I recently purchased this camera along with the Elmarit-TL 18mm f2.8 both in as good as new condition for 850 euros complete set. I used to own a T , and after that a TL back in 2018 with 23mm f2 but sold them because of its flaws and I was a victim of Sony A7 III Train. Bought them second hand so I actually did not loose any money. But I regret it. Now that I have it again and in even cheaper price, I will not let this go.
This is the type of camera that slows you down and enjoy the moments because of its limitations. I also own a Fujifilm and Lumix and because it has so much technologies packed into these new cameras, your first reaction is to use it fully. Leica T is different. The Black and White, Micro-contrast and just the feeling of using this Leica camera is hard to explain.

Well said, and it does really well with old, soft lenses in B/W. I also have a lumix S1 for work and a Fuji XS20 that I got for travel video. Ive had the S1 for years and it still beats the newest sony/ Panasonic cameras for what I need it for. I badly need to do more videos about older gear that is sleeper value now.

I bought this camera when it first came out and traded in for the newer version TL2. Not the fastest camera but the quality of the photographs have a very special look to them. I still think it’s one of the most beautiful cameras out there and I get comments every time someone sees me using it. I have the silver finish with the gray leather with red stitching case. I only shoot in raw so it’s never an issue processing a Photoshop or Lightroom. It’s lightweight and easy to use which makes it more appealing to take on the go. I hope this camera always has a place in the camera world it deserves it!

LEICA S3 is my workhorse, and I will say, the LEICA-T is STILL, used all the time coupled with a silver 35mm summicron- replacing the urge to use the iPhone. also, the algorithm on insta favors the file size** without compression. crazy times we're in. PS you can upgrade the LEICA-T internal memory, disassembly is easy, all to swap a MICRO-SD card :)

I have and use the TL2, mostly shoot in raw and have no issue with the files. There are some quirks and I've found workarounds to things like manual flash shooting. I also added an SL last year and now have a pretty extensive lens collection that includes R lenses, M42, old leftover M and screw mounts from my film days. The SL is much more capable and complete but I can take my compact TL2 anywhere. They make a great combo. SO much so that I've sold the two systems I was using previously.

Picked one up for $300 with box and everything it originally came with, the hard grey half case with red stitching too. Even still has the original screen plastic on the screen. The build quality of it is really something that has to be seen and felt. Even if someone isn’t into photography and cameras, they could tell you its a work of art. I think the prices are overinflated right now. I got mine for like $450 years ago, but it has a stuck battery, so no external charging. I also need to sell it now that I need to reinvest the money in to film projects. I think for that much $ you can get a used Fuji with better colors, and much cheaper native glass. That said you won't be happy if your heart is set on the T.

    • @oh_aces

Nope. But Leica makes a M to L adapter and so do many, many 3rd party manufacturers. This is a T mount camera, but the T mount is EXACTLY the same thing as the L. So any M to T or M to L adapter will work. It will be a 1.5X crop, and you will not have the F-stop info in your files, but the adapters are really great. M lenses work exceedingly well with this old sensor.
