Very thorough! I would say the biggest reason to grease the needle bearing is to ensure you do not scar the surface of the crank where it rides. There has been some issues on the new MS 261C saws from what I have seen in the comment section. Cranks getting torn up prematurely. Is your chain catch fairly worn? I am not sure what it normally looks like. With the plugged screen, are you aware that the Stihl Ultra is notorious for plugging screens and putting carbon deposits on the top end? That is a rabbit hole to chase down if you are anyone else is interested. Great job cleaning!
Hey Joe, Yes the bearing is mainly for the crank and premature brg failure. I do need to replace the chain catch. Also I noticed when I was editing the upper chain wear guard was missing and had some gouging in the case. I have since got some new ones installed.
ah..... I c some Knipex pliers! Have you ever rinsed them instead of blowing the air cleaner. I was unaware until someone told me. I have always been worried about blowing holes in the filter. The new saws are notorious for threads getting torn out of the cylinder. Good job working around the camera and tripod! Tough to do for sure.
I love Knipex products. 1st pair I bought was about 15 years ago on the snap on truck. Great tuff tools. I haven't tried rinsing the air filter before. I did replace the filters with new ones. I still keep the old ones on hand. I may try and rinse them instead of blowing them out. What are people using to rinse them with? Thank you the tripod definitely gets in the way sometimes. Just got to get creative.

I just rinsed mine right out water hydrant in the yard. Was pleasantly surprised. No soap or anything. @@TheRustyGarageandHomestead
