They can’t think outside of their fandom of Coach Prime. If he had stayed his stats probably would have worsened because they play multiple backs and they all get limited touches. It was a good move for him to go back home and go to Kansas state. Patience is the key. Moving did not make him better. The purpose of moving is to improve your situation, that did not happen.CU was much improved which means his stats would have been improved. Same goes for that corner back that transferred. Smh, no patience.
It's hard to disagree with you. I actually agree with what you said. But I also say in the segment that some players leave for other reason than football. Sometimes it's mental health sometimes they feel like the program is not for them. But I do get your point.
Is Dylan leaving CU a good move for him? The answer is Yes because he chose to leave and stated he wanted to be closer to home. Do I believe it was a good move? No. At least not for this year because he pretty much was used in the same role minus the benefit of increasing his brand with the non-school fanbase CU brings. In the long run Dylan leaving to go to Kansas that has a running system that fits his style of running may turn out to be the best decision he made if Dj Gideon goes pro this year and does not come back for another year.

Dylan said something in an interview once...I believe it was actually after KSU beat CU this year...but in this interview, Dylan said, "...coach Klieman is a *real* leader of men" I think this comment says more about why he decided to leave than anything else that I've heard from anyone else. I think you've mentioned something similar though in regards to the trust issues RBs have with CU. I think Dylan simply lost trust in Coach Prime's leadership.
Absolutely! People don't look at things from the players point of view. Everyone just sees it from Coach Primes point of view because he's a celebrity to them. I view as a parent as a player and as a young man. He just couldn't trust them with his running back career. And no one should blame him. And CU still didn't run the ball this past year.
I agree with you all the way. It was a lateral move for Dylan. I was hoping to see more from him on the offense. Great series... ima have to disagree tho..I think it wasn't a good transfer..at colorado especially with the improvement of the roster..he had a chance to be maybe the most featured offensive player with his ability to catch..especially since they ran alot of screen plays for the wrs this year because they didn't have the talent of a receiving back..I feel like he went over there to be 3rd string rb when he had a chance to arguably be a top offensive player in the big 12💯..he mightve gotten em over the kstate game..and could've made colorados offense even more explosive..maybe a playoff birth wit his talent ..but hey to each is own..but I truly think he went to k state..thinking he was gone be a 1
@@sqdagreat419 First thank you for the compliment. I am definitely getting a lot of feedback. Your analysis makes plenty of sense. And football wise I totally get it. I also told some of them that I don’t see Dylan as a pro prospect either. I had to ask them how many got drafted at Jackson State and how many last year? It’s hard to become a pro regardless of who your coach is. I appreciate the comment!

There was a track star from Pasadena in the 1930s named Matthew Robinson. Matthew Robinson shattered the Olympic record in the two-hundred at the Berlin Games in 1936. Absolutely shattered the Olympic record...and came in second. The man who came in first was Jesse Owens. Owens went on to be a legend. Matthew Robinson went on to be a janitor at a whites-only school in Pasadena. The difference was two-hundreths of a second. As if that wasn’t enough, Matthew Robinson had a little brother who was also an athlete. His name was Jack but everyone called him Jackie.
I hope people will remember Dylan
@@TheMuvbuf That was an excellent story. It really was. And I appreciate you writing and giving me some knowledge. But I don’t get how this relates to Dylan.
Buddy might have ruined his NFL chances he would of been the main back this year at CU again if he stayed would of rushed for probably 800-900 Yards had 5-10 TDs Would of had another 300-600 yards 5-6 TDs Receiving The Offense was going to be focused around him Bro left CU to be 5th string on his home team that's crazy😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@NYCNYC212 I appreciate what your saying. But what makes you think that he would have had that many yards?? The top running for CU only had 373 yards for the year. Dylan only had 321 when he was there. If I was a running back. There’s no way I would come to CU.
@@HUNT919TruthSports The Offense was suppose to be focused on him this year he was going to get more touches than anybody after that teams was dropping 8-9-10 People into zone coverage to stop Travis Hunter Dylan would of ate them defenses up this year b/c they focus would of been on stopp Shedeur Sanders It's like having Jerry Rice on the outside with Barry Sanders in the backfield pretty much dude fked up big time
@ We BOTH know that offense was not going to be focused on him bro come on now. That offense was about Shedeur PERIOD! It would not have been focused on Dylan Edwards.
@@HUNT919TruthSportsThe offense is less focused on him in KS than it would have been at CU this year
@ CU was never going to focus their offense on him and you know it. They will never focus their offense around a running back.
It was a bad move. He would have done much better this year at Colorado with the improvement of the OL.
I agree but he also would have been paying.
It was a clear mistake, he was just a freshman and not ready to carry the load he wanted. Be patient, keep working and let the recruits/big boys come in, sophomore year would have been a huge improvement, and junior/senior year he would have the keys to the program.
I get it though, we weren't good yet and didn't run the ball much, it would have taken a little vision and trust in your coach to stay put.
@@jobbrown7847 Hmmm now this hit me what you just said. It would have taken some trust and vision. Tho you are speaking facts about that. The question is do kids believe in that anymore? Trusting a coach for the long haul? That is how we grew up as players. But man they leave after 1 semester now. Good comment.
Dude, yes it was worth it. The family probably needed additional NIL funds. $$$,$$$.$$
@@mbwell lol lol so you believe it was strictly for the NIL money bro? Like that’s it?
@ There wasn’t anything else to consider. He had an established role at CU. It was the bag sir.
@ Established?? He only had 321 yards for the season tho. Would you trust the coach and their scheme after a season like that??
Yes it was good for him.. period period period..I am a 65 year old Buffs fan which is the only games I watch in full during the season no NFL
This means a lot coming from. Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave a comment. And I do agree. I also watch every CU game from beginning to end. I i almost never watch the NFL anymore.
They can’t think outside of their fandom of Coach Prime. Dylan knew he wasn’t going to be an integral part of the offense to the degree he wanted to because they are going to pass an overwhelming majority of the time which they did. If he had stayed his stats probably would have worsened because they play multiple backs and they all get limited touches. It was a good move for him to go back home and go to Kansas state. He will get featured there more and more especially when DJ Giddens has moved on to the NFL
Absolutely and very well said on your part. You broke it down so well there is not much more to say! Very good comment,
I understand what you are saying, however, Shumer and staff had already stated that they were going to build around him before he left.
@@tinabarnes3673 You Believe that a passing team was going to build around a running back?? A running back who only accumulated 321 yards under their leadership?? And even this year their lead runner only had 375 yards for the season. If I’m a running back I wouldn’t play there either.
@HUNT919TruthSports that is what was said on a Well Off video, but who knows. Dylan said he wanted to go where he would be the #1 back, and he was not that. It is what it is!
@ Dylan knew that he was not going to be the number 1 back in front DJ Giddens. Hell he’s not even the number 2 back. At least not this year. I just think that he didn’t trust the staff anymore with running the ball.
I THINK PERSONALLY IT WAS A GOOD MOVE FOR HIM!! HE WOULD OF HAD MORE PLAYING TIME AT CU BECAUSE HE WAS A STARTER!!!( BEST OF LUCK TO HIM)
@@LindaBrooks-bn6ny Yes this is why I said it was a good to lateral move. I believe it also deeper than football to be honest and you feel the same way because you said that he wanted to be closer to home. And I understand that as well.
@@choosenone20901 Absolutely a great answer. I loved the way that you laid it out. And there’s nothing much that I can add to that. This may actually be their plan. Great comment!
He was the feature back they would’ve went undefeated if he never left
You maybe right. But I believe from his point of view that he didn't believe them as far running the ball more. He only rushed for 321 rushing yards for the year bro. Their top running back this only finished with 373 yards for the year.
I think he would've probably added at least one win. Colorado would have used him more in the passing game
Bro it definitely was a bad move he didn’t stand out at K State he would of been on national TV every week being mentioned just off what he did in that TCU game last Year if he could become a special team specialist and a very good situational back /receiver he had a chance to make it to the next level but if they paid him a bag and he at home he did what was best for him cause the league not guaranteed
This was a very very respectful take on this situation. This was well said and I could agree more with that you said and how you explained. Normally I have been disagreeing with most who said that he should have stayed because of their reasoning. But you do make a compelling argument. Good comment.
I don't know if Colorado was good for him because they would never run the ball Shedeur had to get them passing stats up
@@garysanderford1572 Yes I agree. So why ask the man to come to the damn school to play for you. You knew that u were not going to use him. U know u were not going to be running the ball. I hate that part for any kid!
He was better at receiver to small to be nfl back.
@ I agree with you know that. Maybe a special team specialist.
DYLAN IS SMALL!!!!
@ Yes he is very small. But he was highly rated. Notre Dame, Colorado and Kansas State and more all wanted him. So there must be a way these schools can make him into what we all want him to be. But he still has time.
I thought he was leaving to be perhaps a starter with KS and make a much bigger impact in the KSU offense. He met the same situation with KSU as he did with the CBuffs. Again, I can't agree with you more.
@@fastlane1221 I appreciate that bro. He actually went to a school with a way better running back. So that’s why with him I don’t think that it strictly a football decision on his part. It was deeper than that. Maybe he just didn’t like the program and how things were being ran. Appreciate the comment.
@HUNT919TruthSports yeah, I heard that too. The running backs coming through the transfer portal sort of overwhelmed Dylan, and he thought it would take away more opportunities from him. But again, I'm hearing it through a 3rd party rather than someone like yourself who's in the know in sports.
@@fastlane1221 Yes bro sometimes until it comes out of his mouth we won’t know his exact reasons. All we can do is speculate through watching, listening and analysis.
He wanted to be home and play for his dad's alma mater with his childhood friend
@@shorespetaccommodations8797 I talked about that story in one of my segments. But KU offered him out of highschool. He said no and went to Notre Dame. He then could have went home. He said no and went to CU. After CU that’s when he decided to go back to KS. So I don’t know if I believe that stuff. But hey I can only speculate.
i don’t think it was because coach prime more than likely would’ve used him more providing he deserved it. Remember, he was one of coach prime’s kids.
@@michaeladamo6279 Yes but a lot of coach primes kids left him. I do believe that Coach Prime had good intentions. But it just didn’t work how he thought it would for that 1st season.
@ plus this past season we had an o line. I seriously think he would be in a better position now if he stayed in Colorado it’s just my opinion. He really did run out of there and look like he didn’t wanna compete. Also, if he doesn’t get drafted coach Pine for a possibly talk to somebody, you think Kansas State is a shit where he goes now I’m just saying.
Again you also have to remember he was rb2. Kansas state has dj giddens as well who is one of the best rb in the big 12.
Absolutely I agree. And this is why I state in my segments that it's not always Primes fault or the kids fault necessarily. There are other reason that are not football related as to why a kid will leave a program.
But I truly believe that Dylan lost interest in them because of how the running backs were being under used his first year. We also can’t ignore the fact the maybe he just didn’t like it there or how it was being ran. Or maybe he just wanted to go home. I don’t think that Dylan thought that he be the number rb at Kansas State over DJ Giddens. Appreciate the comment.
@HUNT919TruthSports absolutely brother..I'd agree with you but..lol he is a receiving back...not an in between the the gaps back by his play style and by his build 🤷🏾..u could be absolutely right.but the difference between the 2 situations is he'd be on the field likely 75 percent more on the offensive side then he has been on kstate..which leads to more touches, and id returning to a team he was already a big feature in!! Thats all im sayin..but you could absolutely right..
@ No I believe that your analysis could be spot on because no one knows for sure. But him and the coach. The one that I can’t deny is that he is a receiving back and that he would be on the field 75 percent more. But he has next year and that’s what makes this fun. We will see what they have planned for him then. We may look back and see that this was part of their plan.
Isn't he a third down back now? Thats not a lateral move.
@@joyjackson9807 No when I say lateral I meant mostly stats wise. Actually his stats were slightly better and KS. Plus he’s close to home and playing with his childhood teammate. But stat wise he’s a lil better. Plus his team is still going to a bowl like CU. And there’s only a 1 game win loss difference between the 2 teams.
He left for the bag who can blame him and he is back home with family.
So simple yet so true.
