Man, I missed that you started another channel! My “Meat Your Maker” arrived today, so pumped to start using it. We have had a great season so far; My daughter took her second ever buck early in the fall and I shot my biggest buck in bow season (155-160) and then I shot another (not quite as big as the first) in our rifle season. Freezer is literally full!
I tried to buy a MEAT Your Maker #32 last Monday. Then the guy told me they couldn't ship it until Friday because they were doing inventory. I had twelve hundred pounds of hanging beef in the pole barn and temperatures were warming too much, so I bought a Walton's #32 and got it on Thursday. What a unit! Unfortunately, I don't think you can buy an American made meat grinder today without spending thousands of dollars. I've called everyone, including MEAT ....only to find out that they're all made in China. 😢 Congratulations on the deer and the grinder! That unit will last you for years to come and save you a lot of money
Good video. The .5 hp is on sale and wasn’t sure if it was big enough but after watching this it should be plenty. I just do 5-10 lb batches of sausage. Thanks
I prefer LEM grinders, had my #8 for 20 years. No issues out of it, still works great. Just up graded to the LEM #22 dual grind. I do two grinds with it, it's like four grinds with any other grinder. Big time saver on getting a great grind.
Pro Tip, Use a couple slices of white bread to push the remaining meat out of your grinder throat and into your bowl/pan. Also invest in some freezer tape for your wrapping paper, the painter's tape your using will unstick after freezing eventually, lastly, invest in a vacuum packer I use the Cabela's HD Model Series because it was all I could afford at the time but get a good one. You just packed around $70.00 worth of Ground Meat there. Plus you handled it with your own hands and know exactly what went into it! Kudos for adding the Beef fat at the ratio you did! Keep on Hunting!
Thanks for the tips Duge! I just purchased a vacuum sealer for this years harvests. Finishers crossed we are able to fill the freezer soon. I appreciate the positive comment. 👍🏼
Might I suggest that you consider switching to the meteric system when doing your sausage making. Kilograms and grams etc. it is far more accurate and repeatable. Much easier to control your recipes as well. YES, I know it seems daunting t first, but believe me friend you will catch on VERY quickly and never look back!
Is it worth the effort of keeping an ice bowl under the bowl the meat is collected in out of the grinder? Seems like it isn’t in the bowl long enough to matter before it goes back into the freezer/refrigerator.
FYI If you deal w/MEAT make sure you buy when they have grinder at 39% off.My 1hpw/foot pedalcost me $575,a week later same unit w/foot pedal was $350,an I never recieved the rest of myorder.Customer service is worthless cuz you can never reach themEverytime I plug the unit in I I feel the PORK SLIDING UP MY BUTT> MERY CHRISTMAS MEAT PORKERS!
Great product! Customer service is terrible! Bought a grinder and within a month they put out a sale for $100 off. They told me that they can't give me the discount. Bad buisness!
i HAD THE SAME bad EXPERIANCE W/meat,I bought a1hp w/foot pedal for$575.{10%off)they shipped quick,BUY 7 days later the sold the same outfit for$350.also the rest of the order never arrived, and I already paid for it.Trying to get thru to customer service is a waste of time.Anyone buying anything fromMEAT sshould only buy when its at39% sale.I got PORKED TOO.Spread the word, there no reason to run a business like that.BTW the grinder work as it should.

Great video!!!Love my 1.5 meat your maker grinder
This is great! So nice having a full freezer!
Been cutting our own deer up for 30 years. Zip-locks tend to freezer burn. First rule is date everything when it goes in the freezer.
Thanks for sharing

Looks like a nice machine!
I have the same one. It’s not cheap but it’s worth every penny. I group up a 10 pound Boston butt in 2 minutes.

Nice work!
Invest in a good vacuum sealer.

Good video. 1 quick tip, you were using the plunger upside down. Obviously works regardless! Again, I enjoyed watching.

Does the grinder bog down when you jam meat in it?
What's the best way to remove the guard on meat tray?
Just in time for cardio!
Thanks for watching!

Is this sold only in usa?
Got an update video on it since it’s been 6 months?
No update video but I did grind up my brisket trimmings recently and it worked flawlessly. Still very happy with it!
