I'm currently sitting champ 1 in 2's and I've spent so much time in freeplay... But I can't grasp doing this. I REALLY want to learn to change direction while air rolling like that. Sick vid and great run.
I can't tell if it's from constantly holding right roll and using the joysticks to fine adjust those movements or making this happen with the joystick and the air roll button alone and he's just a legend. Edit: this dude ain't leth #whoops
Have rn as right roll and lb as left air roll and do a kuxir air roll which is what the guy is doing and to go left just move the joystick around to go to the left. Moving the joystick left with air roll. where u want to go to with your finger on lb or rb. Holding boost. U will have to make minor adjustments on exactly every movement. It just take time.

1st time watching this 3yrs later and my mind is blown fr. This is inspirational and i just started rocket league and getting the hang out air control. meanwhile he is in flow state going faster than the flash thru this long coure. Truely a hard feat to accomplish. Congrats Forky!!
I’ve basically all but mastered this mechanic and use it in competitive. If you want to learn, I personally use air roll left as a controller bind but air roll right works just as good, it’s personal preference. Make sure to keep a regular air roll button for recoveries and wave dashes etc. This mechanic takes countless hours of frustration and wanting to give up but the end reward is worth it. I can’t tell you the countless times I watched videos like this just to know that mastering it was possible. Not to mention trying to hit a ball after learning just to fly right. Really hard but really satisfying... now I just hop in a rings map like this and do it for fun :) stick with it I promise it’s worth it. Also I learned this while in diamond and now I’m champ 1 in 1s and 2s. Don’t let your rank discourage you from learning this. If you have basic aerial car control/ can air dribble, I would say you could make the switch.

Kat Like Vibes I think he has better car control than dlg. Dlg may be able to air dribble for over 10,000 seconds but Forky is able to turn any opportunity into a play. DLG can do the same if given unlimited boost but when boost needs to be managed he is absolutely out classed

Freestylers haven’t ever done well in RLCS. There’s a difference between a freestyler and pro. Like the NBA and Harlem globe trotters. Both great at basketball, but pros will outplay show-offs every day of the week.
Burnsy1215 _ Forky isn’t just a Freestyler tho. He is also pretty competitive ( he is nuts at 1s and played on Johnnyboi_i stream several times ). Also he often plays 6mans but I don’t think he can join a RLCS team. He should start of with RLRS imo
