Around 500 BC in rigveda Sanskrit language was used... And Maurya empire came way too much later... And till then Sanskrit was already developed and turned into many languages like Pali, marathi ... That is bullshit & NON-SENSE. There was no India or Iran during time of Alexander i.e. 326 BC when he entered in sub-continent. There was Persian Empire or more precisely Achaemenid Empire Founded by Cyrus the great. Alexander conquered, Achaemenid Empire (Present Day Afghanistan or Bactria was also the part of it). Sub-continent was never a unified region but divided in several small states throughout the History except during times of Chandragupta Maurya & Asoka but that was not India again. So stop it calling the history of india.
