This car in 4WD is very likeable and more appealing than the ageing Qashqai for sure. It might not be cheap but still useful for every situation like a swiss knife.
These are really nice cars. Everybody says they are terrible because they are not sporty to drive but these cars are made for comfort which is what a family car needs cause otherwise the kids will be sick.
They sell it in North America as the Buick Encore with a more plush interior and more chrome. But they don't sell it with the diesel engines there even though the car is made on the same assembly line in South Korea.
From an owner’s opinion: Since I live in North America, I have a Buick Encore, which is the North American version of both the Opel/Vauxhall Mokka cars, and I love it.
Cool! Now the new Opel Mokka is out look it up it looks amazing. However they called one of the trims Blitz which made me chuckle because the Opel Blitz was a truck used by the Nazis in WW2
Because, Rafael, Vauxhall is a long-established British brand and we like to try and preserve some things that identify us as a country rather than a subsidiary of Brussels.
The techline version is practically free if you're a company car driver. Seriously, if you're thinking about a Mokka then the techline will work out cheaper than the base model if bought as a company car. I looked at one, but unfortunatley Vauxhall haven't seen fit to install a big enough engine in a Mokka.
Sitting in on of these now and watching that review Only done 50 miles but got mixed feelings Se it's well equipped front and rear sensors, auto lights and auto dim mirror, very nice looking heated leather seats , so many things but to be honest it's a car that got me from the first sight Just another cheap modern car Also it's says 1.4 turbo but can't feel any turbo boost at all, my dad has a 15 year old Passat 1.8T and pulls like an airplane on takeoff and it feels much more quality car
Don't forget Buick as well. I really do wish Vauxhall would offer the same levels of luxury as Buick. What I wouldn't give for a dark red Verano with a beige leather interior and some fake wood trim with an automatic 2.0T in the UK. I have a strangely American taste in cars for an English person!
Sorry Carbuyer I don't agree with you still worth reccommending the diesel version over the petrol considering the higher cost of diesel fuel and the cost of buying the diesel version in the first place which will take years before you break even on the extra cost.
Some of the guys commenting on this need to seriously grow up and lose their virginity already! Poor woman is only doing her job yet you have to sexualize everything she says out of context. Pathetic.
I bought mokka tecliner recently in fact the date is 31st July 20014, this is my four Vauxhall, sadly I am not enjoying at all as there is fault with satnav and entertainment system. I inform the Vauxhall head office. Person call Lola start the case and investigation she was very helpful and nice start with, however the relationship went sour after awhile , she asked me to take the vehicle to the dealer so that it could be diagnose appropriately, which I did. The technician confirmed that it is faulty and added he have not seen anything like it, a spinning sat nav system. Week later they replaced the sat nav silver box behind the radio’s fascia. I went to collect the vehicle and set the sat nav system up only to find another fault it freezes. This time fault was with single connection. With disappointment I contracted Vauxhall and explained I bought to enjoy it and paid quiet bit of money for it, and still paying the monthly. In the normal consumer act if it appear that there is fault with a good you get replacement or money back can get same? The Vauxhall repetitive Lola she was not interested in my question and wanted to brash a side and hug up the phone! Giving me the impression “NO”. can any one help me with law as what is say? And with regret I would not buy another Vauxhall and would not recommend one to anyone Be aware!!!!!!!
Hehe! Nothing, I just prefer the relaxed drive that you get in an automatic and if you spend more time in traffic than you do on open roads they make a lot of sense. That said, my current favourite for a new car later this year is the Astra GTC 1.6T manual so I'm not completely hopeless ;)
I have one of these, same colour too. Lovely to drive but by god have I spent a fortune on mechanic bills on it. Wud never buy a Vauxhall again. Never ending mechanical problems. I have the petrol one and I'm constantly at the garage filling up, very hard on petrol. Also boot and back seat are very small.
Uh no it didn’t, Buick don’t make these cars you idiot. Buick just slap their badge on like Vauxhall do here in the UK, the true car is the Opel Mokka made in Germany. Your weird Buick brand don’t make these cars.
I thought this car was German 'designed', made in GM's former Daewoo factory in South Korea. Sold as the Chevrolet Trax in the US and as the Holden Trax in Ozzie? Like the GM (Chev, Holden) Malibu.
Vauxhall and Opel are part of the same thing ya'll jeez .. anyway I recently bought a mokka 1.4 turbo and its a great car ... so right or wrong side of the road who cares just focus on the matter in question
0:56 actually nope, ive been in a Opel (vauxhall) dealership and i´m over 6 foot tall. And ive got problems to find it comfortable in the back of the car. But the rest of the car was quite good to be honest. :)
For the rest of us continent folk it's an OPEL, for you guys on the island it's a Vauxhall, who cares anyways all the parts are made in eastern Europe :))) it's as British or German as I'll ever be HAHAHAHAHA
Yeah - crossover AKA small SUV, it's not a bog standard sized car now is it? You still get that elevated driving position etc. Also, I've changed the spelling mistake. Happy now? ;-)
There is a serious fault with the gear box , it is known by Vauxhall but they seem not to want to do anything , Google mokka gear box faulty . Even if it is new you can still get problems
Vauxhall? Wtf. This is Opel. Do the Brits have the same sick thing going on like the Aussies with Ford and Holden? For the love of God, whats the purpose? What do you call Volvo over there - Bexida? Does this have to do with ya'll driving on the wrong side of the road? Cause both the Aussies and the Brits seems to share that madness and you have your own names on cars that the rest of world know as the original and proper names. As Opel and Ford etc.
ventende Opel, Vauxhall, Ford, Buick, Cadillac, and Chevrolet are all General Motors brands. That means that a lot of sharing goes on. For example, the Vauxhall Insignia in the UK is the Buick Regal in North America. The Chevrolet Volt in North America is the Opel Ampera in most of Europe, and the Holden Monaro is a Pontiac GTO...
Like when a mass murderer is just different? Listen, there's some rights and theres some wrongs in this world. Driving on that side of the road is definitely one of the wrongs.
Actually all these cars are made by Opel, even our Vauxhall version, Buick don’t make any of them, they just slap their badge on like Vauxhall does, the true car is the Opel mokka
Just bought brand new SE petrol 1.6, best car I've ever owned in 46yrs of driving.........
This car in 4WD is very likeable and more appealing than the ageing Qashqai for sure. It might not be cheap but still useful for every situation like a swiss knife.
Her reviews are always so laid back
Very happy with my Mokka SE changed from a petrol model to a diesel model very happy with the economy and solid vehicle, feel very safe in it 😊😊
These are really nice cars. Everybody says they are terrible because they are not sporty to drive but these cars are made for comfort which is what a family car needs cause otherwise the kids will be sick.
yes the diesel will use less petrol, in fact it will use none :)
thats not what she said - she said uses less "fuel"
Less fuel you muppet
How will the car accelerate???????
Baller
John Newton yes *the diesel uses less petrol*
is this good 4 a 1st car
Automatic flashing headlights .?.?
WHAT'S THE SONE ON THIS VIDEO :'( PLEASE
is this a competitor for the ford kuga?
Is this car made in the UK?
is this the same as the holden / chevrolet trax
Is the driving position still quite high like the Antara or low down similar with corsas/astras?
Can you get those jeans any tighter?
Perv
They sell it in North America as the Buick Encore with a more plush interior and more chrome. But they don't sell it with the diesel engines there even though the car is made on the same assembly line in South Korea.
Looking at a 1.7D 4WD tomorrow so thanks for the heads up video. Looking forward to it now.
From an owner’s opinion: Since I live in North America, I have a Buick Encore, which is the North American version of both the Opel/Vauxhall Mokka cars, and I love it.

whats with the head lights?
Because, Rafael, Vauxhall is a long-established British brand and we like to try and preserve some things that identify us as a country rather than a subsidiary of Brussels.
What's the equivalent Opel model?
The techline version is practically free if you're a company car driver. Seriously, if you're thinking about a Mokka then the techline will work out cheaper than the base model if bought as a company car. I looked at one, but unfortunatley Vauxhall haven't seen fit to install a big enough engine in a Mokka.
we get it as a buick in the states.
can someone tell me what is the background music? it is so wonderful and delightful.
Finally after a long time
Sitting in on of these now and watching that review
Only done 50 miles but got mixed feelings

CarBuyer is back :D

Still 5 foot 4.5???? :))
Sorry Carbuyer I don't agree with you still worth reccommending the diesel version over the petrol considering the higher cost of diesel fuel and the cost of buying the diesel version in the first place which will take years before you break even on the extra cost.

A restyled Antara? Are you serious?
5ft 4in of pure sexiness
I have one of these, same colour too. Lovely to drive but by god have I spent a fortune on mechanic bills on it. Wud never buy a Vauxhall again. Never ending mechanical problems. I have the petrol one and I'm constantly at the garage filling up, very hard on petrol. Also boot and back seat are very small.
Indeed. I just watched Steve Hammes review the Buick version. I prefer it to the Vauxhall!
I hope this gives the Nissan Queeshquat a flaming rivalry.
Just noticed that she has positive camber like Clarkson :P Good for handling!
Any cars with low ground clearance is hard to mention as proper off-road vehicle!
The alloy wheels!
and in north america we get it as a Chevrolet ( I think europe gets as a Chevy too) and we get a Luxury version sold as a Buick.
What's with the music?
like is your missing her reviews,
How short people are in England ? if 180cm is some giant ? i was 180 when i was 15-year-old :D
I didnt use to like suvs, but this one i like👍
the opel / vauxhall mokka started life as the american brand buick encore
Uh no it didn’t, Buick don’t make these cars you idiot. Buick just slap their badge on like Vauxhall do here in the UK, the true car is the Opel Mokka made in Germany. Your weird Buick brand don’t make these cars.

Like the GM (Chev, Holden) Malibu.
The suspension is too firm, you can feel every bump on the road. Not good for that price.
maby pressing 6
Vauxhall and Opel are part of the same thing ya'll jeez .. anyway I recently bought a mokka 1.4 turbo and its a great car ... so right or wrong side of the road who cares just focus on the matter in question

Please google gear problems very serious issues , I've had a new one and it's really bad many problems !
anybody noticed the car at 0:01-3:21 ??? :)
I definitely want one. Here in Mexico is Chevrolet Trax
That's the car bouncing around on the un-even road and the light beam flashing against the camera lens up and down.
I quite like this car :-), thanks for the review Rebecca :-)
Ciao franko, che cosa mio?
She can polish my lighthouse anyday !!!
Looks better than a Juke or a the Yeti... I'd rather wait for the Mazda CX-3.
Wow Rebecca is stunning never mind the car, best looking car reviewer going
It's a nice macho shape that's for sure. The car not Becky.
This does not have off-road capability, not with entry/exit angles like that.....
its weird how she grows and shrinks each week
Their slogan everywhere is "It's a German" with Claudia Schiffer. Except on the island. whahaha.
Opel did quite a good job but is a bit overpriced and release the new Corsa already! :)
I missed her saying "here, here and here, also here and here"
but, well, its an opel actually, german brand bought by gm
in my country its opel
The review finished and I don't remember anything that she mentioned for the car! =P
I love Rebecca! =)
but it's blue
It looks like the recently launch, the Chevrolet Trax
looks like the ssangyong korando
What kind of name is mokka? Seriously who came up with that? Not a bad name just weird
vauxhall is in belgium opel
Opel mokka best mini SUV ever made
0:56 actually nope, ive been in a Opel (vauxhall) dealership and i´m over 6 foot tall. And ive got problems to find it comfortable in the back of the car. But the rest of the car was quite good to be honest. :)
Vauxhall should make a version called the Mokka Fokka
For the rest of us continent folk it's an OPEL, for you guys on the island it's a Vauxhall, who cares anyways all the parts are made in eastern Europe :))) it's as British or German as I'll ever be HAHAHAHAHA
new haircut!
Carbuyer has more than enough econobox reviews, lets see some inspiring machines..
It's tiny!
This car looks nice but, going by reviews - I'm gonna stay away. The Nissan Juke is much better, apparently.
No - the Nissan Qashqai is the best SUV for the money.
***** No The BMW XM5 is the best SUV \ Porsche Macan SUV .
Yeah, they'll be better than the Qashqai - but I said, "for the money" Not every1 can afford BMW's and Porshes ;-)
Yeah - crossover AKA small SUV, it's not a bog standard sized car now is it? You still get that elevated driving position etc. Also, I've changed the spelling mistake. Happy now? ;-)
Holy crap Rebecca is gorgeous 0.o
I met a 6 footer once.
There is a serious fault with the gear box , it is known by Vauxhall but they seem not to want to do anything , Google mokka gear box faulty . Even if it is new you can still get problems
Its completely Juke copy from side, with hard plastics and bigger price. Great ...
Vauxhall? Wtf. This is Opel. Do the Brits have the same sick thing going on like the Aussies with Ford and Holden? For the love of God, whats the purpose? What do you call Volvo over there - Bexida? Carbuyer
Seems like a total lack of brand building. Like instead of calling it Sony it's called Cargabacca only in Northen Ireland and Portugal.
ventende it's called Badge Engineering.
ventende i don't like how you say "wrong side of the road". It's not WRONG, it's just DIFFERENT.
Like when a mass murderer is just different? Listen, there's some rights and theres some wrongs in this world. Driving on that side of the road is definitely one of the wrongs.
That smile at 1:29 at the banana is probably a running joke at Carbuyer, or else somebody put it there as a prank..
British version of the Buick Encore :D
Actually all these cars are made by Opel, even our Vauxhall version, Buick don’t make any of them, they just slap their badge on like Vauxhall does, the true car is the Opel mokka
Reminds me of the Mazda CX-5 somehow.
Just looks like a car from GTA
