How To Install Electric Jack Cargo Trailer Camper Conversion
Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 вер 2024
- After well over a year of cranking the camper up and down, Jessie had enough. We purchased a heavy duty electric tongue jack with a weight capacity of 3500 lb. from Harbor Freight to install on our #cargotrailerconversion . It has a maximum lift height of 31". and a minimum height of 8-3/4". With coupon code it cost around $116 delivered. In this video you will see the unboxing, well see it unboxed lol, and the install of this jack. We do hope we covered it in enough detail. Oh and please note we have a new song in our video! Our brother-in-law wrote us a new jingle (see copyright info below).

An electric jack stand was the third upgrade we did to our travel trailer. It's, no doubt, a must have. Great video. Thanks for sharing. :)
For sure! We don't regret it a bit. Just wish we had done it sooner lol.
This will make life easier
For sure. It really has. Thanks so much for watching.
The electric tongue is the way to go. So nice !
You're definitely right about that. It's been great! Thanks so much for watching.
With all these ups and downs a little help from an electric jack is the way to go. Great share :-)
Haha right!
Hammer, it always does the trick. Jessie made it look like a pretty easy install. I'm a expert shockmatician. 🤔🤣 Thanks Jessie, OK, Felicity too!
LOL shockmatician. That's funny. He really didn't struggle much with getting it installed.
Hi friends. You are going to LOVE having an electric jack. What a game changer. Thank you for coming Monday night. It was SO great to see you. Hope you are able to come again!
We definitely have not regretted installing this. It's been a great upgrade. Thanks so much for watching 😊
I can see where that would make life much nicer for a camper.🙂
Yes it's been great. So much easier on the arm!
That’s definitely a nice upgrade 👍
We already are happy that we did it. So much easier. Thanks so much for watching.
The installation looks simple enough.
It really was. And it's been so worth it! Thanks so much for watching 😊
Nice install and smart move on the ground. Looks like a really nice jack. I heard a roster in the background. I love a roster. I know nothing about electrial. If I need this done I will be calling. lol Great share y'all.
LOL yeah the neighbors have chickens and a rooster. I think it's a dumb rooster. It does that call all day long and even when it's dark. LOL
Great job I might have to have him put one on my Camper.
LOL it wasn't too hard. Well for me for sure. I just held the camera. LOL
amazing content and completely watched
Thanks so much for watching.
Nice work, that should make life easier, cool video.
We're all about easier. Especially when were trying to have fun camping lol.
Nice electric jack. That will be very useful for you guys. Good install, Jessie. We really like Harbor Freight. Quite the nature video. Dogs barking and roosters crowing. Haha.
🤣😂 Neighbors have chickens and a rooster that really likes to be heard lol
PB blast them? Peanut Butter? I know Jesse likes PB& J but this is really different. The grinder reminds me of the dentist. Great install. Stay safe friends. See ya soon.👍🇺🇸👏🥑❤️
Haha maybe that's why we couldn't get a good ground. Was all that peanut butter 😂
This will be so handy. I’m glad y’all got one. Have a wonderful week.
Yes it's been an awesome upgrade. Thanks so much for watching.
good share Happy Place. Good to see how they are working and i would have expected some heavy wiring to boot but i guess it sall in the balance 😁. Nice job.
Thanks. We've not regretted installing it. Makes things so much easier.
I always over torque too. 😁 Looks like a great one! I just did an install on a non-electric one. Maybe we'll get this next time. Well done.
We for sure don't regret having upgraded. It's awesome. Thanks so much for watching.
Nice thing about a motorhome and one of the reasons we swapped was those jacks. Great upgrade.
Haha I swear we aren't lazy. Well I am. But man that is really hard on the arms to crank. It was a great upgrade.
@@HappyPlaceCamping Yes that and on ours bending and twisting was killing my back.
@@DesmondsDonders yeah it's definitely a chore.
Nice sharing.
Thank you so very much for watching.
This is nice. Looking forward to more adventure for 2021
Thank you.
Nice, that is a great addition. Blessings
Thank you. We are happy with the upgrade. I know I've probably been missing some of your videos. Hope to try and catch up tomorrow.
Hello team HPC hope all is well at your end. I hope it lifts your spirits as well as the trailer.
Well it has made Jessie happier. So it makes me happier too lol.
Those power jacks are awesome ! Great job “what’s his name” !!
LOL yeah he's pretty good at stuff like that.
Great upgrade guys
Thank you. We're very happy with it!
Much love ✌ 💘 😊
Thank you very much 😊🧡💜💙
very intricate process, looks good though. I'm sure you're happy to have an electric one now. Donovan & Jodi
Oh yes. This was a wonderful investment!
Electric Hubby said if you don’t from chassis then the ground from battery to chassis. Clean where the negative side of battery connects to chassis. If you don’t have a good ground to chassis he’s concerned about the lights working properly. He said he is I,pressed with your teaching skills.
The jack isn't tied in with any of the trailer wiring. It's on own circuit. Wired direct to our trailer batteries. Which are not connected to the trailer until we hook up our inverter. So we're all good there 😊. Sorry I was hoping we had explained that good enough in the video. Thanks for watching and the lovely compliment.
Good job
Thanks so much 😊
Great how to video guys this will help a lot of others that come behind you and see this. Its one of my must haves as you saw on our channel so i totally think everyone needs a good electric tongue jack.

Yup pretty inexpensive upgrade. And so worth it to us. Thank you so much for watching.
Now that Jessie said that we shouldnt be doing the electrical stuff on our own I feel like I wanna do it on my own :( Maybe if I just try a little on your camper! We can unplug that thingy and then I can put it back in and do the electrical stuff! Im sure it will be fine Felix 😊
The simple fact that you said thingy makes me say heck no LOL
@@HappyPlaceCamping Oh Felix :(
@@UncleLisaProductions LOL
OK , now confused. Don't you have Jockey Wheels at the front of your trailers? How do you move your trailer when it's not on your car?
We don't lol. Once it's parked that's where it stays until we hook back up.
Some very useful information. I want to try and get my trailer licence when this Lockdown in England ends. Do you need a trailer licence in America ?
No. Unless it's like a big semi or some other commercial truck of some sort. Those require different license.
Those things are terrible at grounding we have one on our big trailer. I have had to hook up a jumper to ground it before.
Yup it's stupid. It should just work when hooked up as instructed lol. But he got it, so it's all good.
I know that you have not used it much... but do you think this HF Jack is well build and is going to last 10 years???
I don't know about 10 years, but we expect it will last a while. It seems to be decently well made. We haven't had any issues with it yet.
