i think this video will be more helpful if you discuss the types of events you plan for - corporate vs non-profit. i work in non-profit that has one annual meeting for 3,000 attendees and i work the typical "9-5" every day except for the week before an event and during the event. I'm also probably the least stressed person at this job.
Ungrateful, unrealistic clients who expect you to make bread from stone and read their minds and let's not forget giving them the Kim Kardashian look on their beer bottle budget. And oh! The grudgeful green-eyed Cinderella step sister's I have as competition. Always stealing my concepts and ideas.. (be inspired but don't copy) I own an Event & Wedding Planning/ decor styling company in Jamaica and I've experienced it all. Sighs... I have a deep passion for my job, heck it's practically my past time lol... but I've truly reconsidered another career choice on several occasions. (As if I'll ever quit🤣).
Ungrateful clients is what I dread as far as moving forward in the event planning direction. I do get an adrenaline rush when I succeed at putting together an event with a small budget.
Thanks for the video. I'm trying to become an event planner..in a new city. I've always liked the creative side of it and i think that im very good at it but im a very stressed person (the creativity helps me reduce stress). But I dont have many connections here and I dont have a team to work with. any advice or suggestions? thank you
