Kelly, I love that you are grateful for your grandmothers memory. My grandparents meant the world to me and I was blessed to have them in my life into my married life. Hold onto those wonderful memories, and pass them down to your precious children. Being emotional is a blessing. ❤️
27:00 Please, never apologize for your emotions. Your stories are heartwarming and we enjoy hearing them. How wonderful that you have those memories and her treasures to keep. BTW, beautiful card!❤️
Kelly, Thank you for sharing the story about your grandmother’s ceramic tree. It is just another example of why I love card making so much. I appreciate how I can make each card unique and specific for each recipient. It allows me to instantly transport someone right back to a special time or place. It’s no longer a card, it’s transformed into a memory. ❤
I love to hear grandma stories. My grandmas had already passed when I was born so I have a special place in my heart when others speak of their grandma’s. Your card came out beautiful. Thank you for sharing your story. 😊
Just WOW! All of it. It’s so touching, it’s art, it’s memories, it’s reflection, it’s family, it’s a creative gift & a love to share that gift. I appreciate that you took us on your emotional journey, it appears many of us have very similar experiences. Our cardmakers are a great bunch of kindred spirits! Thanks SO much for this. I’ll be making several that will go out as “Happy New Year,” cards. 💖👍🏼👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻🥰
Thank you for sharing. It is a blessing that you share and are vulnerable. I am alone, my husband and younger sister went to their rest until the resurrection a year ago last March and April, respectively. The rest of our family is scattered across the country, our dad passed in 2018, our mom in 1981. So yes, this is a blessing and I thank you for the tips but mostly, for your heart.
It is beautiful that you feel such depth of feeling for your grandmother even though you didn’t have the time to build that connection. It shows how connected your family is. Be blessed this Christmas and every day. TFS
I am sure most people have a ceramic Christmas tree in their family decorations somewhere along the line and know exactly the one you were recreating in memory of your grandmother’s tree. You did a fabulous job and I had a tear in my eye as I listened to how much that little tree meant to you. Here’s to many more creative inspiration and story time videos in the coming new year, my sweet friend. 💞
What a beautiful card Kelly, I remember my grandmother having one of these trees. Thank you for sharing your heart and talent with all of us. You are truly a blessing to the crafting community and am honored to call you as a friend. Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas.
Thank you for sharing your memories and your faith. My mom was very artsy and crafty. She had one of those trees too. I have no idea where it has gone. Both my parents passed away a little less than two years ago, 42 days apart. They were married 70 years. Thank you for reminding me how precious our moments together are. On a happier note, my mom also made Christmas trees from clear faceted pony beads for each of us kids. With a string of white twinkle lights bunched up inside it is quite lovely. My grandsons have been the first ones to find it and plug it in each year. It's a sweet thing that warms my heart. God bless your family and restore your health quickly.
I had one of these for years. What a great memory. Stunning as usual. You always touch my heart Kelly. My kids are all grown and gone, maybe one of our 4 might stop over for a little bit. Christmas was just so huge growing up. Now all of my family has gone before me. I look forward to seeing them again. I miss them all most on holidays. Just for the record why do kids grow up and just never have time to call their parents anymore. After years of suffering and doing without literally, so they had what they needed. They seem so entitled like we owed it to them. There is no appreciation for our elderly these days. It makes me sad. However my savior was born and this is what we do to celebrate that, and He is worth all if it.
You don't ever have to apologize for your emotions Kelly. Watching this today on Christmas made me remember that we had one of these trees in our house growing up. So thankful to you for all of your talent with card making. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
My sweet mother-in-law gave me a beautiful ceramic tree that she made when my husband and I were only married a few years. Your card really reminded me of that little tree. Thanks so much for your story. Truly brought a tear to my eyes! I do think of my mother-in-law when I take the little tree out each Christmas. She passed away years ago. She was a gem! I miss her.
Thanks for sharing a beautiful memory ❤️. My mom made us all one. Your memory triggered a memory for me. Thank you , never apologize, tears are memories rolling down your Cheek. Thanks goodness for those memories. Your tree is gorgeous, cherish you beautiful memory you created for your treasured grandmother. 💖💝💖
Lovely card and sweet story time, Kelly. I made this ceramic tree in 1980. I am Grammie Jill to my 5 year old grandson and he is coming to my house for the first time and for his first snow experience. I think he’ll have fun playing with the tree’s lights and changing the colors around. Maybe he’ll have the same kind of memories in 2053!
Kelly, my mom and dad, who are having Christmas in Heaven with Jesus, had that exact ceramic tree. You brought back many beautiful memories for me. Thank you for sharing your story of your grandma with us. The card is amazing and I need to make it.
Kelly, I love hearing the love you have for your family. Your emotions talking about this tree are so real. I totally understand them. I too have a connection with a ceramic Christmas Tree. My mother in law has one, luckily she is still with us, as she is 92. She has had this tree as long as I’ve known her, 45 plus years. This tree means so much to me. I’ve been excited as I’ve seen them come back out into the stores. I will always associate this tree with her. I hadn’t seen this stamp set before this video. It is a must have for me.
❤Hugs to you for sharing your feelings about your grandma. You made my nonna come to life in my mind and heart. Memories flooded back as she was the only grandparent I knew. All the others had passed on before they had a chance to meet me. Hugs and shared tears, Kelly. Merry Christmas to you and your entire family.!
I think everyone had one at some point. If you look at the card you definitely know what it is. The nicest thing about your grandmother is you get to see those candlesticks and think of her everyday. Those will be your memories of her. To me, that’s very special. I’m glad you shared that with us. It was heartwarming.
I am alone tonight and am grateful to have found your Podcast. You do lift me up and make my life better. Thank you for sharing your talents and your heart. ❤❤
I love this! My crafty family made the ceramic trees for all the "girls". I now have my mom's tree and I get to see my grandmother's tree at my aunt's house. I love those family memories I have.
Beautiful card! I, too, was a later in life baby so I didn’t get to know any of my grandparents as they all died in their early 60’s! I have a few memories of my Daddy’s mom before she no longer knew who we were. I was about 6! Your tree; however, reminds me of my Momma’s ceramic tree that I now have! Your card was perfect! ❤
My mother had a ceramics craft room when I was growing up and I remember just being in awe of her beautiful painting. All of my siblings and I along with the older generation of grandkids all have this ceramic Christmas tree. We lost my mom in 2019 but having so many of her Christmas ceramics throughout my home gives me such joy. So I get the tears. Merry Christmas to you and all your subscribers ❤
You could make this tree into a detachable ornament on your cards for your family members who will think of your grandma. Thanks for sharing this and love your story time
Kelly, please don't ever apologize for how you feel. I love all the story's that you tell. They make feel like you're a real friend. I look forward to your videos even if I'm not making that exact card you're making, so you and baby girl get better. Thank you for always opening up. ❤❤
Wonderful card and wonderful memories. Unexpected emotion is so powerful and real. Here’s to remembering all the special people in our lives. Happy Everything.
Thank you so much, for spending your time, with us. I will always choose you, your videos, because you are such a great card maker, and colorist, and most of all, a so nice and good-hearted woman. Its okay to be emotional ❤️😘🎄. Beautiful card❤️
Had gotten through the entire days without tears....I have that tree sitting not more than 6 ft. away. And it looks like that on base and all. Thanks so much for sharing. My Mom passed away in August of this year and I am proud to have that Ceramic Tree.
Awwww! I remember those trees. I was blessed to have my my great-grandmother in my life until I was 15. Thank you, Kelly, for sharing your art and story time. It means a great deal to me. Happy holidays to you and yours.
Such an emotional and heartfelt video. Love the technical inspiration. Very talented lady. I did share a few tears with you for my late Grandma,. All the best for 2023. I'm new to your channel but I think you will soon be my goto channel. Hugs
My mom used to put one of those ceramic trees on top of our television when I was growing up. She passed away 30 years ago, I don't know where that little tree ended up, but you sharing this card & & your story brought back my memories. Thank you for sharing & being real. I love our card community. Merry Christmas dear friend.
Oh Kelly you made my Christmas Eve! I just finished making my Christmas dressing with my oldest granddaughter and we made pictures for her when I am no longer here to celebrate with her. Memories are so important so I cried right along with you. My mom had been gone 47 years and I miss her as if is was yesterday. Christmas was her favorite time of the year. She was so much fun and I miss her so very bad. I am 67 soon to be 68 and all of my family is gone but my kids and grandchildren. So I try to make Christmas as special as my mom made it for me. Love the card and yes my grandmother had the same tree. lol Merry Christmas and happy new year ❤
You made me smile and chuckle. I made those ceramic trees when I was younger and made them for my mother. I still have them. I hope my son remembers me when I am gone. You made me feel good. Janet Hockenberry
Keeping our loved ones alive in our hearts. Best way to acknowledge their life and keep them for the next generation. Very lovely. I miss my Meme something fierce, I was her favorite and she was the only one who made me feel special. Merry Christmas to us all.
The card is gorgeous & does bring back memories of my grandmother who also had the ceramic tree that she painted &bit had the colored plastic lights!! ❤️ Your emotion was heartfelt & precious!! I too, am very nostalgic & sappy & have many memories of some family and few memories of others but I hold them all very dear to my heart! So glad you are feeling better! You were definitely & sorry it was due to illness. Merry Christmas to you and your wonderful family that we have come to know & love!! ❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗
Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family!!🎄❄️💕🎅. WOW 😢 your tree is beautiful and it reminds me of my Grandma’s Christmas tree decoration! Your story gave me goosebumps! Don’t you dare apologize to us for this tree giving you these emotions. This video will be my all time favorite. We are so grateful for you spending your time teaching us techniques and heartwarming stories!! Thank you Kelly!!💕
Kelly, thank you for this card my grandmother also made one of these trees, which I now have because she is celebrating Christmas in heaven. I cried with you! You are an amazing artist and your stories are wonderful! I pray you feel better and have a blessed Christmas and a joyous New Year! ❤️💋🙏🎄
I’m glad you are feeling better. You need to to Erick that sharing doesn’t mean caring when you are sharing sickness. Lol. It’s funny what will strike us with an emotional response. I’m really glad that this set brought back memories of your grandma. I am sure your dad or sisters would love to get this card so I really hope you give it to one of them this year.
Because you don't have the memories that your siblings have, by having physical items you have a connection to her...I also have things that belonged to my grandmother that I can't get rid of...I know my children won't keep a lot of them but I have to.... I hope your Christmas is wonderful and thanks for sharing your life and talents!
Hey Kelly. I am a little late catching this. But wanted to share. My Gmaw had a tree like this. Thanks for the memories! God Bless you and ur family and have a wonderful 2023. Always love watching ur art. Thank you.
Merry Christmas. Keeping in mind that I am 70, I have my mom's ceramic tree and its out very year. thanks for doing such a great job on this card. thanks as always for sharing and all the inspiration.
Merry Christmas to you and your family. 😁🎄🎁⛄❄️🎅🤶Beautiful card and thanks for sharing your memories of your paternal grandmother. All of my grandparents and parents are gone now , my maternal grandfather passed when I was 4 . He was in the Army during WWII and my uncle ( mom's brother) gave her the flag that draped my grandfather's casket. I still have it. I have very few heirlooms from either side of my family. Lots of pictures which I cherish.
I know exactly how you feel and find myself just as emotional as I put my mom’s ornaments on my tree. Most of family are gone so thank you for thoughts and prayers. I hope you have a very blessed Christmas and glad you are on the mend. Merry Christmas my friend.
I have two of those trees - one that I made and gave to my Mom and one I made for myself. When my Mom passed away 13 years ago, I got her tree. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
My mom had the same ceramic tree which was displayed during Christmas for many years while she was alive and it is still displayed for my grandchildren and I. I hope this tradition continues for many many more Christmas’. Hope your holiday season is filled with many more traditions that can be passed down through the generations! ❤🎄🤶 Happy holidays Kelly!
A beautiful card Kelly and a wonderful touching story. I have one of these little ceramic trees that my Mother made me. I think of her and miss her everyday. I find some comfort and beautiful memories of Christmas's past whenever I look at my tree. Merry Christmas Kelly to you and your family. I feel so blessed to 'know' you. ❤️
Kelly, fantastic card as always. Love story time, happy Christmas to you and your family. Love, hugs and prayers from Northern Ireland and your friend Lyn 🌲🌲🌲☃️☃️☃️❤️❤️❤️
Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 ❤️ ☃️ I remember those trees too. Mom has one. Today seems like a day of memories and I think that's OK. Thanks for being around to spend some time with. 😘🎄
Kelly ….. you are a beautiful soul. I just love how real you are. Thank you for sharing something so personal with us. You warm my heart. And … funny coincidence … just this Christmas… I bought a tree exactly like this tree (except it s white) that plays music. So your story touched me! Hugs xxx
LOVE THIS CARD! I purchased this for the same reason. My Aunt made this tree in a ceramic class MANY YEARS AGO. She also made one for my mom…her sister. I have both now and enjoy them all through December. Thank you for sharing your story. MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and your family. I hope you’re feeling much better.
So very pretty, love the tree! Love the fullness of the branches…..the shading and embossing really pop. Sorry to hear you were ill - I was thinking maybe you took a break and enjoyed the holidays with the fam……I hate when sickness hits close to holidays. Glad you knew what was happening and could get right into the doctors. Take good care ……..as always love learning new things and hearing about story time. I love your passion and deep caring about your family; truly it’s refreshing and pure kindness. LOVE, LOVE it and thank you for sharing!! HUGS
Kelly, I’m sentimental and can relate. I remember when I was growing up my Mom had one of these trees. Sometime things just hit us for no reason. Remember your human. Merry Christmas 🎁🎄 ❤
Merry Christmas to you and yours. So sorry you were sick - no fun. Stay warm and safe. How lovely that you have such a close family and feel to honor those that are no longer with you in body, but surely with you in spirit. Having something of theirs to touch is a way to connect with them and remember.
Family is so very important to many of us and we completely understand your emotions, especially during the holidays. I hope you and your family had an amazing Christmas!
I just received a ceramic tree like your card yesterday from a very dear friend for Christmas! It’s sitting on my work table and watching you create your card was like seeing it was coming to life. Thank you for sharing and have a very Merry Christmas
Kelly, I first want to wish you a belated Merry Christmas & an early Happy New Year. I hope you are having a good holiday season. It was funny, because when you said this set is called "Grandma's Christmas Tree," I didn't realize what it was supposed to represent. I thought it was just like a regular tree that you would decorate - not a ceramic one. I have a vague memory of seeing the ceramic sort, though. Since you explained that, this die cut/embossing folder set makes more sense now! I love how your card came out. I think the snowflakes add just the perfect finishing touch, & the shading under the tree & stand grounds it really well. Thanks for the tips on the puff & glitter embossing powders, too. Christmas Day was kind of a downer for me. Mama & I won't get together with my brother & SIL for a couple more weeks to celebrate a late Christmas, so it was pretty quiet here. I had 2 projects planned to help fill the morning while Mama was at Mass, & neither one went anywhere near as planned. :( So, I ended up sitting in my recliner with one of our cats on my lap, crying. Then my brother called and left a voicemail message, & suggested we could Skype over dinner. I just couldn't bear the thought of socializing that day, but didn't want to be rude, either. So that kind of made things worse for me. Sigh! Thankfully, when we did get in touch with him, he understood, so that was OK in the end. And a third project went more as planned, so that helped. Mama & I had turkey & my homemade cranberry sauce for dinner that evening, & watched "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" on DVD. So the day at least ended on a slightly higher note than it began. Anyway, thank you for sharing not only your creativity & artistry, but also your time. I don't watch your videos often, but it does feel like being with a friend when I do. So thank you. As I said, I hope your holiday season is going well. Take care, & have an awesome day! :)
I love your tree and it’s symbolic meaning it has for you. We had one of those trees from my in-law’s. I think my mother in law made in a ceramic class…now I’ve got to think of where it is. Merry Christmas! Feel better! It’s never good to be sick, but it always is worse during the holidays when there is so much going on and rest is never on the agenda.
Your emotions are programmed like mine. Some things just get to you before you ever realize it. Makes us very human! I have ornaments that can make me cry. I loved the card and the story. Please have a wonderfully Merry Christmas and a healthy and peaceful New Year.
Kelly you could never be to much, your story was so very touching I have a music box that belonged to my nana. She played it every night when she tucked me in it no longer plays but I'm trying to find someone to fix it. It's very precious to me. Merry Christmas to you and your family, I hope you are not being affected by the bad weather in the states.
We have my husband’s Grandma’s tree like that. She painted it herself. Those kind of memories are wonderful to share ❤ I hope whoever you give your card to enjoys it as much as we enjoyed watching you make it. Glad you are getting healthy. Merry Christmas to you and your family! Thank you for sharing your talents with us 🥰
Kelly...I just love you and how real you are with us. We love watching your videos and this one was truly special. I love your Christmas tree card and the sentimental meaning behind it. I loved what you said about cardmaking...and creating a card to bring someone joy. Merry Christmas and thank you for your inspiration.
Kelly, I love your heart & I’m so grateful for you & that you not only share your talent but your life’s journey!!! It’s so beautiful!!! We’re all in this life together . And as humankind, we both have individual lives & so many similarities at the same time. Amazing card!!! I have one of those trees, it was a gift many years ago from my sister-in-law. She made it in a ceramics class. I don’t have any memories or items from my grandparents, I’m the youngest of 7 & never even met them. So, I understand the emotion…I love hearing the stories my mom used to tell about her parents & now I tell my children about my parents as well. Sending blessings, love, & hugs!!! Have a Healthy, Happy New Year sweet soul!!!❤
I love this card, Kelly. Wow, I didn't realize how much we have in common. I am also the youngest of three (though I have older brothers), I have a similar age spread between me and my oldest brother, and my grandma died when I was 4 or 5 so I don't really remember her or the big family get-togethers. In fact, one of my brothers asked me about that just today. Thank you for sharing your talent and your life with us. I'm glad you are feeling better.
I have things of my Mom’s and I feel the same way. It makes me feel close to her. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Thanks for sharing your life with us.
Kelly, lovely tree. My gran and mom(whom passed in August this year) both had those ceramic trees. 🥰 from a neighbor in Tallmadge. Had to order them. Thank you and Merry Christmas 🎄
I have my mothers ceramic tree and it brings me joy every year when I put it out and turn it on! I love these kinds of memories and I totally understand your emotion. Thanks for all of your great videos...I can't wait to see what 2023 brings. I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
What a wonderful story and a very special card. I remember making one of those trees and my mother had one as well. After many international moves, I have no idea what happened to my tree. It seems like it was hard to get the replacement, plastic lights , for a while. Thank you again, my friend for the story; no need to apologize for your emotions. Happy New Year! Have a speedy recovery, I got the crud the day of Christmas but it was nothing serious, thank goodness.
Thank you for sharing. My late Mother and I did ceramics together and made many of those trees. One was even 18” tall. Unfortunately, I do not have any of the trees me made. Your card and memories touched my heart. May you have a very blessed Christmas. ❤

Ditto. On the connect. Thanks! Spending time with a wonderful friend

Thank you for bringing back memories. My late husband inherited his Grandmas’ Christmas tree.
My mom made a ceramic tree when I was young and my sister has it. It brings wonderful memories. Beautiful card and memories!
I always think about my grandmothers this time of year they were the best part of my childhood hugs🎄
Thank you.
Thank you so much!
Merry Christmas. Keeping in mind that I am 70, I have my mom's ceramic tree and its out very year. thanks for doing such a great job on this card. thanks as always for sharing and all the inspiration.
Kelly, no apologies necessary... thank you for sharing💗
Your card is beautifully created!!!
Merry Christmas to you and your family ❤
Merry Christmas to you and your family. 😁🎄🎁⛄❄️🎅🤶Beautiful card and thanks for sharing your memories of your paternal grandmother. All of my grandparents and parents are gone now , my maternal grandfather passed when I was 4 . He was in the Army during WWII and my uncle ( mom's brother) gave her the flag that draped my grandfather's casket. I still have it. I have very few heirlooms from either side of my family. Lots of pictures which I cherish.
Now I’m crying too. Merry Christmas, Kelly.
Merry Christmas, Kelly! Thank you so much for your generosity in sharing your talents, your humor and your life. I am so grateful to you!
My Mom had a tree like this. I miss her very much. Thanks for sharing.
I know exactly how you feel and find myself just as emotional as I put my mom’s ornaments on my tree. Most of family are gone so thank you for thoughts and prayers. I hope you have a very blessed Christmas and glad you are on the mend. Merry Christmas my friend.
I just love you girl!!! So much in common, I was crying right along with you...I am thankful to watch you and your beautiful heart... and cards lol
Love the card. Love your story of grandmas, memories, and the emotions that come with them.
Kelly, fantastic card as always. Love story time, happy Christmas to you and your family. Love, hugs and prayers from Northern Ireland and your friend Lyn 🌲🌲🌲☃️☃️☃️❤️❤️❤️
Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 ❤️ ☃️
I remember those trees too.
You have no idea what you've done for my Christmas morning! Glad I stopped by.
Lovely card and a lovely way to remember someone! I love listening to your stories!
Merry Christmas Kelly & Family...hugs...loving story-time...family, friends and memories make our Christmas season
You’re so sweet! Love the tree! We have 2 of them inherited from family.. Hugs
Been missing you
Bless you I get so emotional this time of year we lost all family over past Xmas xxx
Kelly that card is beautiful! Thanks for sharing your heart. I watch every video but just am not able to comment often. Merry Christmas
Bless you Kelly ❤. Merry Chris to your sweet family.
Thank you for showing us how to make this beautiful card and for sharing your memories.
Loved your technique, beautiful!!
Just like your heart. Good bless you and your family. Hugs
Kelly, lovely tree. My gran and mom(whom passed in August this year) both had those ceramic trees. 🥰 from a neighbor in Tallmadge. Had to order them. Thank you and Merry Christmas 🎄
Thank you. I am alone on this Christmas Evening. I love your tree. My mom had one like it.❤
I still have my Grandma’s ceramic tree! Merry Christmas to you and your family 🎄
My niece just asked me for my moms ceramic tree. Of course I gave it to her, she loves tradition
Just wanted to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas, Kelly.
Always feel like i spend time with a friend when i watch your videos - And I cried along with you
Hope you & the family have an amazing Christmas xx
Thank you for sharing. My late Mother and I did ceramics together and made many of those trees. One was even 18” tall. Unfortunately, I do not have any of the trees me made. Your card and memories touched my heart. May you have a very blessed Christmas. ❤
