- Join us for a walk in Lassi, Kefalonia, Greece. Our walk starts on the main road to Argostoli near the Dolphin Supermarket in Lassi Kefalonia, we then pass Mel's Lassi Kefalonia, and walk down Lassi Main Street where there are lots of shops, bars and restaurants. Our walk finishes at Makris Gialos Beach.
Lassi is one of the most popular resorts in Kefalonia, being just a short drive from the airport and within walking distance of the capital Argostoli. It’s found on the east coast of the main part of the island, just south of Argostoli.
The resort centres around the main road or “strip” that’s about a mile long and home to the majority of the restaurants, most of the hotels are on side roads off the main street in Lassi.
Lassi is a laid-back resort village known for its scenic beaches, such as Makris Gialos, popular in summer for sunbathing and water sports. To the west, quiet stretches of white sand flank the Lassi Caves, a short walk from the Lassi hotels. Clothing stores and souvenir shops are found along the Lassi main street, alongside alfresco restaurants and tavernas with dancing and traditional music.
Lassi is ideally situated for exploring the rest of Kefalonia. You can walk into Argostoli in 20 mins and explore the rest of Kefalonia island with a hire car. Sami, Agia Efimia, Assos and Fiskardo are all within easy reach.

Lassi Kefalonia is my all time favourite holiday destination. Took my then girlfriend on her first overseas holiday there years ago & fell in love with the island & my girlfriend who became my wife❤️ we are now married for 26 years & going strong & love going back to Kef to make more memories. We normally stop at White Rocks hotel which is a lovely hotel,just up from Makris Gialos beach. I remember Vagalati shop been a tiny little shop the first time we went there🤣. So many beautiful places to visit on that island as you know.

What a beautiful video! The beaches in Kefalonia are stunning. Can you please tell me, is it lively in Lassi at night, at least maybe in Argostoli? We're a young couple thinking of going, we are not looking for crowds and parties, but prefer if there are people and things to do, we don't like it when it's too calm, and I have a feeling this is a more laidback place. Thanks a lot!
Thank you so much! 😊 Really pleased you enjoyed it. Lassi is quiet and laid back, we were there the first two weeks in June so i don't know if it gets busier later in the season. There are a good choice of restaurants there. If you want somewhere with more going on then Argostoli would be a good choice. There's plenty of bars and restaurants and it's also close to Lassi for the beaches. You can get the ferry from Argostoli over to Lixouri as well which is a nice thing to do. Have a lovely holiday if you decide to go. We loved Kefalonia and want to go back 🏖😎

I'll be staying in Lassi for 3 weeks this July. Second time to Kefalonia...still with the tourists, it flies under the radar. It is THAT beautiful. Best island in Greece?
