He's a true Texas icon and in 2022, he turned 70 years old. He wears that age well, probably due of his infectious smile, his warm sense of hospitality, and his love of the Fair. In 1991, Big Tex welcomed me and 3 friends by saying; “Folks, here come The Golden Girls’”! We loved it, we looked a little like them. As a Brit and my first visit to the State Fair, I loved it. 💖💖💖💖
