Yeah after watching gameplay this is definitely a stealth game first, a looter extract game 2nd. However, I can see some players get good at ramboing because those things DO die, you will probably find solo players learning to kite soldiers into corridors and just mowing them all down.
looks amazing, I really hope the devs improve on the firearm sounds they are super generic as is and pretty much all sound the same, as well as missing sounds from helicopters or drones? I can't tell from the video. Fingers crossed.
Ye, the visible spawning in of enemies is bad and the movement looks pretty sluggish. Also Performance needs improvement, but apart from that i still cant wait to play. This gameplay is exactly what i need and kinda already always tried to do in other games. Going into a "high level are" as a "low level scrub" to loot valuable stuff
Attempt 1: Oh ouch. I can see that mistake a 3:00 in. Anyone not used to the marker system would reasonably assume that they're being engaged there. Attempt 2: Those auto guns are nasty by the look of it. Likely to heavily armored for a pistol round to do meaningful damage. (SMG and all.) Sad that the extract was such a mess. Attempt 3: Okay, this is going much more like intended gameplay. Definitely a heart pounding extract, but exactly how it's intended. Toothy busy fighting and you just slip on by. Kudos.
Scary to think, those pilots/drivers can see and identify you without trying due to IFF tech. But choose not to engage either orders or being bystanders Imagine being those pilots and seeing armed neutrals barely making through this war. You got the bigger gun..... though there will be players who will become Giant Slayers one day, anything is possible
Love the gameplay just that not sure if this game can be enjoyed by grouping up with random players given there needs some level of coordination to succeed.
I can't, but will wait. Will support it by buying it in the 24th, but i thjink it will be at least(!) a year minimum before this comes close to release. Probably years. But thats how it works and i have no problem with it. This could be a diamond for me. Something a big Studio just can't do.
A lot of clunk, they need to smooth out those animations and terrain on-ramp pathing to be less restrictive... e.g: "I can't move, I hit a small rock which I can easily go over it but can't cuz invisible wall". Game is interesting and fresh I'll give it that.
The UI needs a LOT of work. I wish the permanent orange/black colour scheme altered a bit, otherwise it just makes the game dull over time. The "latest dev build" is very much representative of the "next build coming out soon".
I must have missed it somewhere, but is this going to be co-op only or will there be multiple groups per map like Tarkov? Basically will there be scav pvp? Can't wait to see more, and a more polished build!
Solo/cooperative with 4 man teams max. The game doesn't rely on servers if you don't want to, you can run P2P so in the future if the game goes offline you still own the game and can play with friends. No other groups in the maps though, just you and some friends or bot allies.
Hello! I'm really interested in The Forever Winter but I'm a bit scared about optimization. 'cause I have the requirements for CPU but I have an RTX 2060 12 GB and I don't know if I can play or not. There is any upscaling like DLSS?
Afaik, they won't be DLSS at launch but they are working on implementing it. If you are worried about not being able to run it, there will be a demo next month.
Looks so cool but they seriously need to work on movement and those helicopters, basically any object in motion just glides which breaks the immersion so hard. Let them cook.
s the night and evening a constant weather? Just with a yellow filter, you can barely see the black figures of the opponents, the darkness is terrible. It's hard to navigate by shooting, enemy flashlights
I would prefer if they didn't know either. Maybe they will tweak that so they check the last area you were active in and can chase you based on your actions on the map as you move for extract.

Cant wait to get a PC to play this! The gameplay is like me in Planetside 2 and Generation Zero. Stalk around the battlefield to loot or pick off stragglers.
22:34 hey I recognize that from the trailer.
helis move in most unnatural manner possible.
The hover heli is a weird piece of jank and it was like that in the closed beta as well. Hopefully that will be addressed sooner than later.
My god, I actually found people who aren't playing like complete ADHD riddled Bonobos.
i love this game aesthetic
i know that the devs got inspired by Tsutomu Nihei' art and that's reason enough for me to buy it.
And i will
.

.
PS: the sound track is insane, i'll have it on the background next time that i read Blame! or Biomega.
Yeah the music is really good.
First person is a must
With all thr HUD contextual check and ubckecable stuff to refer to your available eyes augmentation or no. HUD
Awesome, well played by all. Incredible showcase of the game.
Early days, but I can see some clear potential here.
Helicoptarrr. Helicoptarrr.
Let's try again, this time with feeling. Noice :-)
Thanks so much for sharing this. Very excited for this game.
Hey oh lets go
Ye, the visible spawning in of enemies is bad and the movement looks pretty sluggish. Also Performance needs improvement, but apart from that i still cant wait to play.
This gameplay is exactly what i need and kinda already always tried to do in other games.
Going into a "high level are" as a "low level scrub" to loot valuable stuff
21:11 think that’s as close as your gonna get to being on the battlefield.
The game is gonna be great, but I will wait for it to cook a little more in the oven.
Each “map” is just a puzzle. Get in, loot, get out quick, don’t die. The end.
Really looking forward to this, but I will say these animations are ROUUUGH.
Well they did say they weren't going to do early access yet but people in the closed beta pushed for it.
But choose not to engage either orders or being bystanders
Imagine being those pilots and seeing armed neutrals barely making through this war.
You got the bigger gun..... though there will be players who will become Giant Slayers one day, anything is possible
as someone with depression I am not sure how long I could spend in this type of environment
Love the gameplay just that not sure if this game can be enjoyed by grouping up with random players given there needs some level of coordination to succeed.
The game seems to be different from what I've played before!! I just hope to see this AI improved!!
I love the addition of stray round
I can't, but will wait. Will support it by buying it in the 24th, but i thjink it will be at least(!) a year minimum before this comes close to release. Probably years. But thats how it works and i have no problem with it. This could be a diamond for me. Something a big Studio just can't do.
13:17 “GOD FKN HATES ME!” This was very relatable.
he said gun
@@Cobaltz246 LOL
Small detail I REALLY like - no minimap
When I get a pc, I’d love to play with you guys
they need to size down the UI a little bit. make it less in the way
A lot of clunk, they need to smooth out those animations and terrain on-ramp pathing to be less restrictive... e.g: "I can't move, I hit a small rock which I can easily go over it but can't cuz invisible wall".
I'm soooo pumped there is no pvp
Wow, feel like terminator zone! 😂❤🎉 hell yeah! ❤
Might be able to initiate fire fights even less for better outcomes
This game could be really big after a few updates
like the concept, I don't know if it is this video settings but the sound design feels weak, the helicopter snuck up on them 3:10
The helo doesn't have any chops sounds yet from what I can tell and some of the sound design for weapons likely needs a revamp.
Dang that looks fun.
Pls more Forewer Winter, only few people dont play this as Battlefield
New video going live today :)
Nice Dark metal music
Thanks for sharing, hope they fix littl movment for ea
collision boxes on boulders, metal debris etc seem to be off
You can hitch on them terrain at times yeah. Certainly something to be worked on.
ths soundtrack of this game is fucking wild
It's very good and is available on steam to buy.
hit reg is weird
this should be a terminator game
great content. please get a pop filter tho XD
Looks so cool but they seriously need to work on movement and those helicopters, basically any object in motion just glides which breaks the immersion so hard.
Let them cook.
It looks like they removed the Super Hind for now while they work on the flying mechanics for the AI.
This looks realy promosing. Im kinda interested in this game now.
They seriously have to think again about the name of the factions.
Hope this comes to ps5 on episode 3 now came to comment and sub
Thanks :)
Oh noooo not the feet moving a different pace than the ground 💀💀 that's such a PS2 era error to make
Looks brutal...in a good way
so the hunter killers just always know where you are or what??
s the night and evening a constant weather? Just with a yellow filter, you can barely see the black figures of the opponents, the darkness is terrible. It's hard to navigate by shooting, enemy flashlights
Hunter Killers ALWAYS knowing where you are seems annoying.
I would prefer if they didn't know either. Maybe they will tweak that so they check the last area you were active in and can chase you based on your actions on the map as you move for extract.
cant wait to play this game
