im not a musician but am a lifelong Zappa fan and Terry and Chad are my two favorite of FZ's drummers. how wonderful to see them play together. Both so renatkable. Great upload. Thank you.
I've always loved the way Wackerman looks so nonchalant and is exerting practically no effort. You know you're good when you make it look so effortless. Bozio, on the other hand, is rocking perpetual stank-face. What a sick combo! Love it!
As a drummer/ musician I definitely respect what these guys do. My issue with the mega drum kit is this. Unless you're doing huge world tours with plenty of roadies, techs, and time to set up, it's just not practical. Not to mention the space it requires. Most of the time I play a four peice. Kick, snare, small tom, floor tom. God bless.
Well I am amazed and saddened that there were thumbs down for this brilliant and beautiful work. I am sure those people can comprend the drum solo from wipeout but anything of this density and dexterity just sails above them. They stand with glassy eyes under the moon even when there is no moon and just know they could do it better. Even the sky, they could make a better sky.
Uhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmm............🤤 wow can someone please make a video of how Terry tunes that kit wow and Chads too they both have such a great sound but the way Terry’s toms just sing so perfect
Right around 4:00 Chad hits what I call The Beat. Listen to Prince/Lewis duet from The Tubes - What Do You Want From Live for another perfect example. That there is beat nirvana.
I'm Going to see Steven Wilson and the band on November in Finland. First I was very disappointed when I heard that Wackerman will replace Marco Minnemann on the European leg of the tour. But now that I know who Wackerman is, I can't wait to see him there. Seem very Interesting musician.
This is really the epitome of great drum solo composition. Not many have heard the Hungarian Gergo Borial that shows equal if not even more capability to carry the torch of forward
Always interesting to see old posts when people mention a drummer who is seemingly new on the scene. 5 years later and Gergo has proven to be quite a force. I'm curious where he will go. Cheers!
Very cool to see these guys do things together. Bozzio, allovertheplace but with an amazing ability to keep small things and big things apart, and all between. Wackerman, at first with Zappa I did not know his good things at all. But later on, like now, I understand more. He's an elegant, going not by furiousity like Bozzio but like "this is what I'm supposed to do". I love his playing more and more now that I sort of understand what's he's up to. But he's having a hard time groovin'. He should give Richie Hayward a listen :-)

Two of humanity's greatest drummers EVER. ONE COMMON DENOMINATOR!
Two outstanding drummers. Very creative.
Wow...I didn't know this existed...Outstanding collab gentlemen. You guys are great together. There was only one band leader...RIP FZ...
Proof that you can have a meaningful conversation with hitting on stuff
TWO MONSTERS!
TWO NUMBERS 1!
I’d like to see terry take 1/25th of his kit and join a great band again. He’s at his best driving an ensemble forward.

Glad that was recorded!!
I had this DVD and it is sooo awesome to see these guy's do their thang together !! I'm also a drummer and wish I could play these big ass kit's...
Aaron Porter no you don’t

That was completely spontaneous? Amazing.
that was awesome

Jesus Terry is an animal! Glad I discovered him
Incredible!
Bozzio goes animal at 4:10 Legendary
ZAPPA Alumni Terry Bozzio and Chad Wackerman!
Right around 4:00 Chad hits what I call The Beat. Listen to Prince/Lewis duet from The Tubes - What Do You Want From Live for another perfect example. That there is beat nirvana.
That is insane!

Anyone that can last with Zappa for all those years has to be good.
Wackerman is a beast, he played with Allan Holdsworth too
With a name like ‘Wackerman ‘ what else could he be ?
Chad is just so clean. Example: 3:21, 5:06. Terry = Crazy Musical
Sounds as good today as when I bought it
AMAZING! for more drummer amazement check out:
George Duke with Billy Cobham - Rush Hour
You won't be sorry..
I've always wondered, but does it take the same number of slaves that the Egyptians used to build the pyramids to assemble Bozzio's drum kit?

Terry Bozzio just looks like he's in pain the entire time.
I like the sound of the snare Chad used more than the one Terry used in this video
snap.
awesome
max control!
Terry Bozzio
MENTAL BEAUTYFULL!!!!!
Both of their snares sound amazing anybody know how to get that sound with a 13x6 birch snare?
Find a groove , it in there, YEEYEE

Cool! Wish I was the 3rd drummer!!!
Wow
Throw in Dunbar and you have my 3 favorite Zappa drummers. OK, Vinnie too.
If you played with FZ .... then you are special
@PINK LLOYD Yes, I've been listening to Zappa since '68.
I prefer Bozzio’s haircut over Wackerman's. CW looks like a bored bookkeeper, but he’s got all the passion and fire of an artist.
omg terry bozzio has fricken 6 basses!!!
🤯👍!
would love to see either Lang and Harrison Or Peart and Bozzio
never knew john waite was such a good drummer!
Is it just me or does Terry look 30 years younger than he actually is? 😂
Is it just me or does Wackerman look 60 years younger than he actually is?
I need this dvd does anyone know where I can find it?
Two fantastic drummers. I don’t care for the sound of DWs though. If I could afford any kit in the planet it would be either Yamaha or Sonor.
Well...it's certainly important that everyone on the planet knows your preferences...
WHAT JUST HAPPEND!!!
Throw in Vinnie and you're there.
What do you do to get your drums to sound like that?
Good heads & tuning
Wackman looks like an accountant.
aside from the drums, cymbals and hardware id bet the heads cost him at least 500 to 1000 buck
Absolutely ridiculous. Now imagine throwing Vinnie in the mix.....
CHUNGA!
Chad is so much better.
DW drums........... Expencive..... But how's the sound?
They're like 2gremlins in a music store after closing....
Bozio always looks like he’s taking a dump.
Chega a ser engraçado .kkkk Bozio .. louros do passado ..tocar .mesmo ... nada !
Must be a bitch to set up those kits
The poor drum techs geez.
The Grateful Dead drummers have been doing this for decades. Love Terry, but this isn't anything new.
I can't stand Terry's stupid drumset and bowel movement face. Chad, on the other hand, is cool.
Sounds like a regular jam to me.. bunch of chops display.. I couldn’t even make the 6 minute mark.. 🙄
Yea .for guys at this level I was actually kinda not impressed
I’m a drummer for about 30 years, and drum solos bore me to tears. Sorry.
You clearly have not seen some absolutely amazing solos then.
Have we had enough of the flourishes.
......”yawn”......
Ugh, not bad. 😅
Lars Ulrich XD
not great. 2 guys with the same approach, rather than doing what they said they would do. flam city
Sounds like bunch of nothing but noise ,, no groove or feel , they need to listen to Gadd
terry please just stop that thing you call drumming..
Lars who? Oh the dude that was smoked by MORE COWBELL Farrell; haha!
Great but useless performance
Chad's drumming is creative and full of emotion !
Terry's drumming is just, well... boring.
Just noise
Try for instance Simon Phillips/Gavin Harrison duet, thats more musical. This is just noisy.
