Hi Simon Once you work out that it’s £15 to buy almost the same amount of Delirium Tremens in bottles from Tesco (6 x £2.50 = £15.00) then the torp works out at about 66p per glass more for draught quality delirium at home, it makes the torp a no brainier. It’s one of the best beers on Sub along with La Chouffe and St-Feuillien blonde. These beers in any craft beef pub would cost £5-£6 per bottle at least so for £3.16 per 33cl glass these beers are a bargain in torps. Joff 👍👍🍺🍺
I had this torp for the 1st time on Saturday. Really enjoyable. I often buy the bottle and whilst the bottle undoubtedly has more carbonation, the torp version has better body and fuller flavour in my opinion. Will buy again. Great review by the way!
Cheers, my friend! I’m a new subscriber and I watched yesterday a lot of your videos, especially when the KRUPS is used... I saw a couple of years ago a Heineken Edition from KRUPS and it looked awesome. But, I was “allowed” to buy the compact version (my wife keeps telling, the Heineken Edition doesn’t fit with the color of our kitchen...). After nearly two years I got rid of the compact version and bought the bigger one in white! And I must say, it’s way better than the compact edition. Getting the torp in the machine is way easier, and the green light goes faster on, believe me. I’m very satisfied with my new KRUPS. And by the way, in white it fits perfectly with the kitchen. And the wife is happy too... Greetings from Germany! Prost 🍻
Good review Simon. Delirium is very tasty, I've had it in bottle form. Ur spot on regarding its drinkability! Talk tomorrow at the Stone the Crows virtual pub!!
Nice to see that the beer was reviewed in the same glass that you reviewed the bottled version 5 years ago. Can you tell me where you acquired the kinn bryggeri glass or what style of glass that particular one is?
I bought a bottle of this in brussles when i went for a visit. It was so good draft i didnt wanna open the bottle i bought unless it was a special occasion. I waited so long, when i went to drink it it has gone! Drink good beer as soon as you can!
Stumbled on this beer at my local Costco big box store last year. They had the 5L mini-kegs for $60. I thought, wow, that is the most expensive beer in the store, even though it is a great price. Have to try it for the cute elephant. So good, I finished the whole keg in two days. Well worth the liver damage. Can't find them anymore lately at Costco, so have to start looking. Never seen those Krups machines before, I thought they were just coffee.
Great review as always Si! Got my attention with this one, love the bottles so just fired off a BeerWulf order for a torp of this!!...... When are you going to drop that Tripel Karmeliet in the PD for a review? ⚜️🍺🍻
a 75cl of Chimay grand reserve barrique is 16€.... So it's not bad for that price especially for a 2 litres of beer 🍺🍻 What I really need to understand its why the regular lager beer, are so expensive 😅 7€ for a 2 litres Heineken... come on with 12€ I could have a 5 litres mini kag of Heineken in my local supermarket ...or with 2 € more a package of 12 beers of 500ml
I've bought the bottled version of this beer about 3 times. Whilst it's nice... All 3 times I felt it was over carbonated to the point where it took away from the beer itself. I'd like to try a keg version at some point.
@@brianrossiter7023I can imagine it would go down a treat. I think I've only had the 3 main beers, I tried to get the Christmas one a few times but it's always been sold out.
Everyone has there own tastes, I had 1 sip and binned. Literally not for me at any price. Foolishly as I like ipas, dark ales, porters etc in thought this would be a no brainer! Found it utterly undrinkable and tasted like rotten yeast!
You would £5-£6 per 33cl glass in a pub so it’s a significant saving over pub prices. There is no pub at all would ever serve delirium tremens in pints anyway. Even at £18.99 a torp it’s still on 66p per glass (33cl) over bottle prices at Tesco so it’s not that expensive once you take everything into consideration.

I am still undecided which I like more.. Duvel or Delirium..
Just ordered a couple of Delirium torps. One of my favourite beers and am looling forward to my first home draught of this one.
I am pouring a glass of Delirium Tremens mini keg in my home in NB Canada, I couldn't believe when I seen it available for purchase here! Cheers.

Absolutely on the same page... it's worth it! Cheers Simon!

Simon, have you tried the Brand Weizen on the Krupps. Its a wheat beer brilliant for Spring/Summer
Love the beer review
Hi Simon, I've managed to finally order my KRUPS sub compact this morning, can't wait for it!
I bought a bottle of this in brussles when i went for a visit. It was so good draft i didnt wanna open the bottle i bought unless it was a special occasion. I waited so long, when i went to drink it it has gone! Drink good beer as soon as you can!
In my opinion the best torp on the sub, I know it's expensive but you're paying for top gear.
This is in my top 5 beers 🍺
We were in avignon in France during the last eurocup, reps from Delirium were there giving out free beer and pink elephant hats, it was awesome.

Got myself a torp for Christmas and was so happy with it, so so much better than the bottles!
Draft beer is just better. No idea why none of these beer sub systems are available in the US. Cheers!
still waiting on that salad review Simon, c'mon we all know every fast food place in the UK has a bloody salad option
!!!!
Great info thanks buddy 😊
Great vid Simon 👍🏻
Serious beer this!
Great review as always Si! Got my attention with this one, love the bottles so just fired off a BeerWulf order for a torp of this!!......
When are you going to drop that Tripel Karmeliet in the PD for a review? ⚜️🍺🍻
The Pink Elephant beer is awesome for sure, this was one of the first Belgian beers I ever had.
Quality beer 🍻 Can't wait to try it from the keg 👍
Stone the crows. 🍻

amazing beer but the krups kegs seems so expensive i dont know if i can stomach the cost.

Yes Simon
Great review I got a box of Torps delivered including one of these 🍺
Are you into single figures on the PD? I have never seen that before haha
Delirium Noctornum is also excellent
The best my fav
quality beer
I do enjoy a DT, like the dark one even more Noctsomething.
Nocturnum
Best I've had was their Black Barrel on draft in Brussels, a bourbon barrel aged amber beer at 11.5%

They seem to always be out of stock for the beer I want
Oh yea the pink elephant hell yea
Too expensive for most peeps

👍 do a wagamama or subway if possible Si 🙇
I got in belgian bar Delirium tremens two beers for the price of one, and i fall from the chair
How many did you drink?
@@joebidensdentures4541 i drink four of them
I thought delirium tremens was a disease you get from drinking too much! Weird name for a beer, looks like a good beer though!
4:35 pour
Delirium Tremens is latin for goin' crazy from a long alcohol binge. Alcohol based spychosis.
Never paying £5 a pint for beer at home, that’s pub prices !!
You'd pay a lot more for a pint of this particular beer in a pub.

It’s not Carling mate it would be more like £10 if you bought it by the pint glass which you wouldn’t!
Too expensive, I’m not paying that ridiculous price
