- There appears to be excitement, even if it's subdued, over the news that the Dangote Petroleum Refinery has slashed the price of Automotive Gas Oil, AGO, that is diesel. The refinery has announced a reduction in the price of the product from 1,200 to 1,000 naira per litre. The development is expected to positively affect all the spheres of the economy, and ultimately reduce the high inflation rate in the country

I just learnt something new today, Thanks Crew for this show!!
First of all, thank you Dangote for reduce prices of oil production products for Nigerian economy. Government should make sure all essentails must be selling at low prices, for example, food stuffs, transport, energy, schools, medicals. Please consult with China to improve agricultures, infrastructures, ….etc China have build vast solar fields to supply clean energy to her population, China also de-desert to grow crops and improve output of agriculture harvest.
Nigeria is heading the right direction, we need security improvement to make sure local economy and people are safe. God bless Nigeria 🙏🙏✌️❤️

The first crude delivery to Dangote refinery was done on December 12, 2023, and the 6th cargo was delivered on January 8, 2024. The six million barrels were supplied by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited ...

Where is our money gained from the subsidy removal going. Debt payments!? Which debts? Taken by who? For what???
Look at how stupid some people are. Dangote is competing with NNPC the referee yet people are so blind to see. NNPC is in charge of crude oil, petroleum products sales and refining of crude. You sell your crude outside Nigeria and you refine shigban, zero, Nada, zilch . Yet dangote has taken loan to build a refinery and after waiting for years to finish his refinery, you don’t supply him crude. He goes to America to buy crude and refines then you are telling him to sell at prices you pull out of nowhere. Ridiculous coming from people that will never run a groundnut company or sell ordinary pure water. Dangote please sell diesel at the price the Referee NNPC is selling. Don’t mind anyone. Yeye Dey smell.

@@tblessemiayoI think you need to know that opec regulates price of crude oil that you will refine into diesel and other crude oil products. How do you want to sell diesel less than 500.
@@opeyemioladejobi1772 if opec is not the owner of the resources, why should opec determine the price of it? It either means opec is the machine.
The point is, opec does not want Nigeria to dictate the price of fuel and do not want Nigerians to have a special statues of fuel producing nation or a nation that has this natural resources.
Fuel may sell for a dollar in America, under fact, it should sell a naira in Nigeria. Why should it sell for a dollar in the US where 1$ is like 1N value and then sell in Nigeria that has the crude for 1000N
On what ground does opec determine the price of fuel? Is the production not independent? And if not why ?

You guys are not ashamed saying that you bought diesel to power generator instead of u to fight on how govt will provide 24hrs electricity for u. What a shame. So d marketers will now sell at the same price of 1000. Stop celebrating frictions. Why did dangote not sell below what buhari left it since is producing locally. We are not fools here.
