There is a very large gap in quality between Tech and Scarolina. Tech will probably be fighting for a 4 or 5 seed by the end of the regular season. They are a VERY solid team.

TT has (and a lot of Big 12 teams have) metrics that are worthy of an AP ranking; they just haven't beaten anyone in the noncon (tons of close losses all over). Best result is a neutral court loss to TA&M by 5 in December. This year, only Kansas and ISU have had the big noncon wins. Computers think Houston, TTU, Arizona, Baylor, Cincinnati, West Virginia, and BYU are all good, but unless they start to pile up the wins, all of these teams are vulnerable to being seeded much lower than their strength, or of not making the tournament at all.

The refs didn’t go back and review the time when Jefferson got fouled he got fouled clock keep ticking and they stopped it at 4.1 we should’ve had a second more to work with the refs did that for Iowa state tho
Tech fan here. That ISU guy took about 5 steps before his game tying layup! Other than that the refs were fine. Our guys couldn’t knock down clutch free throws or short shot. gg ISU- we will be back for you!
