- This is an example of how to program a replacement key fob for a GM Silverado Sierra, 2011-2014, the method will also compute with 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and beyond.
This sequence should work on all GM cars and GM trucks, which were manufactured from 2000 - 2021. Here are vehicles certainly within the programming sequence, which was very easy:

Had no remotes for a truck I recently bought. So I bought a fancy boost remote for primary and 2 pack of cheap ones from Amazon. Got 3 working remotes. Great product
Yes this guy is dead on!! I have a 2011 Siverado You need to buy the 60-70 dollar OBD2 programmer for your port below to program as many remotes as you want . To my knowledge if its 2010 or older you can do it the old way with just your ignition key

I have a 2012 Silverado 1500 with 1 key fob. I bought 2 key fobs off of ebay but guess what.....My truck had to be one of those that has to be programmed by a dealer. So, my choices are simple I guess.... Dealership or buying this from a auto parts store.
If you still have the old key fob does it work also or does it get de programmed when you do the new one ?
He says in the video that when you use device the existing fobs will be deprogrammed so yes you have to reprogram them. It appears he does his existing fob first then the new fob.

uhm instead of reading your info ..sloooow down.. your suppose to be teaching us how to do something not race through it all.
Someone has to have figured out how to program a fob without buying this or figured out how to get more than 3 uses from the dorman one. 3 is a little ridiculous to me 5 would be more practical. There has been times before when no matter how well you read the directions its still confusing and you mess up once or twice leaving you with only 1 more chance to get it right.
