This episode on CBP: seeing how the situation worsened, Twinkie rushes to the Toy Golem’s secondary cockpit, as the first one is compromised. Being the control freak she is, the redhead built her giant machine in a way that she could control it form more than one location. Very much like a cruise ship that has alternative control rooms other than the bridge, her mecha has another set of steering, communications and weapons systems hidden. Her place of choice was the cafeteria’s balcony, as she believed it was one of the safest spots inside, other than the primary cockpit itself. However, as she got there, she noticed that, somehow, the Horror Cube’s tentacles found their way inside.
“No way! This is bad, the thing is poking at my mecha, trying to get us out!”, said Twinkie, as she was followed closely by Goode.
“You should know that well, Twinkie! You did the research on those things with me, they behave in similar ways as an octopus would. Even if left to their own devices, the cubes could pry doors, open jars and, with specially gifted individuals could even pick locks. This is no surprise…”, replied Goode. “Also of note… I must apologize to you for something from that time.”
“What is it? Don’t tell me it was you who ate half my birthday cake six years ago and didn’t tell me! Something baked with actual, non-GMO wheat is hella expensive, I saved mney for six months for that stuff!”
“Argh, it’s not that! Remember how we had to use special helmets to approach the fully assembled Elite Cubes?”
“Yeah.”
“There was a reason for that, but I wasn’t allowed to say it to you, because it was classified. Here’s the deal…”
“Ah, my head hurts… I didn’t hit it anywhere, though… Weird.”
“Oh no…”
“Argh, what is that!? Get out of my head! AAAAARGH!”

That’s no fair, I seriously thought, and hoped, the flatbed truck driver was gonna survive! He made it down the stairs really well, and even when the truck started to catch fire I thought he had a sliver of hope, but when the truck fully exploded, I knew he didn’t survive.
