Perfect, I am getting my wife out. We ride PQ to get her comfortable on her MTB. Ride up the fire road to tunnels but do the single track ridge rides, usually 12 miles. Have to ride Otay and Hodges. Thanks!
Great video. Anyone wondering what bike you need.... any bike works. I ride a dh and have been on most trails in Pq/del mar mesa, and Hodges is my home area for now I’ve put in about 200 miles around Hodges on a dh. If you can’t climb just keep trying. Eventually you’ll be strong enough. Track your rides and try to beat your time on the next one or try to ride for longer periods if you’re not taking the same route.

Was the number one the lower otay lake trail? There seem to be several otay lake trails. Do u post maps of your rides anywhere? Thanks, I appreciate it!
Here's my original review on the trail with a link to my Strava: ua-cam.com/video/UDdTUeLsQj4/v-deo.html Any time I do a trail video or update, I always try to include my Strava link. I believe this is the lower Otay Lake, but I'm not super familiar with the area. I hope this helps!
@@MTBTrailReview bro lmao I didn’t know you would reply, it’s not beginner I was just joking. It’s not a course it’s a mountain the view at the top is so awesome but you legs will be dead afterwards
Thanks for showing us these trails especially for beginners rider like myself.
My pleasure!
Thank you so much for making this .
I’m looking to try some trail riding and giving my bikes the attention they deserve.
My pleasure. Have fun out there!

Thanks! Especially for the otay flooding tip 🤙

Thanks. I've definitely seen it happen!
Whats the loop you are doing at Lake Hodges called? I tried part of it but couldnt find the well groomed areas like that

That's awesome! She'll probably love Otay. It's a fun ride for anyone.
How is the trail that goes along the San Dieguito river? Does it connect Del Mar to penasquitos?

Thanks, and agreed. On that same note, if you have an entry level hardtail, you will also be fine for all of these trails.
Awesome video!!!!! you're doing great!!!!!! keep it up!!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you!
3. Lake Hodges
2. Los Penasquitos
1. Otay Lake
I think Otay is definitely the number 1 spot for beginners.
Cool video Chris.
Thanks!
@@MTBTrailReview All of your videos have been very helpful to myself and my son. We are new to the MTB Scene. Keep up the good work.

@@skivideos2544 No worries. I'm still curious to check it out. I've always wondered if there were trails to the top.
Bro, you look like a lean version of the NORMAL MOUNTAIN BIKER! 😂
