HI Tony, what actual mileage can I claim for my sole trader business travel... e.g. if I travel 20 miles to perform work from A (home) to B (working destination), then travel B to A do I claim 45p x 20miles or 45 x 40miles... i.e for a 1-way only calim or for the full 2-way journey?.. thankyou in advance.

Can I (a director) claim for mileage driving from my office (in my house) to my warehouse? Or does that not count?

Hello. If im self employed and claiming business mileage rather than the actual expenses, do i still have to keep all receipts and records? Or instead simply record the mileage in a log as evidence?

Can I be the only person on here who finds the mileage allowance set at 0.45/mile/10,00 miles a complete and utter farce?? This ridiculous allowance has been set at this figure since 2011.
Since then, fuel prices have soared, so where is the fairness in this?
Also, a lot of employers will not even allow this sum, and you have to try to claim back the deficit as a tax relief.
Why do people come on here mealy mouthed and sheepishly complicit when glaring inequality exists?
