Also, the solidarity you feel with other parents in public is so real. I feel a kinship with every parent of small kids I see. 😂

I’m definitely the mom that has “lost” myself in motherhood, and while I do wish I had more time to do the things I used to, I’m embracing the time I have with my children! I just KNOW I’ll miss these days so much, so I remind myself that this is the season of life I’m in and it won’t last forever.

“She only talks about her child” Yep, I do! Not ashamed or embarrassed by the fact that my little man is the centre of my world and I find things he says hilarious, things he does heartwarming and I just love everything about him.

Could not agree more with you on the “losing yourself in motherhood” thing. People tend to say it’s a bad thing, but I say so what? This is my new reality now and there is nothing wrong with surrendering your old you for the sake of your child.

    • @susantea777

Yesss!! It's not a bad thing. Some people just can't fathom that they have to let go of certain things and be that example for their kids. It's wild how this isn't common sense for people nowadays. It's really not that hard to make sacrifices for your own babies.

but also love the you’re never too lost to find yourself too. it’s nice to feel more like yourself especially if you’re missing it. Having said all of this.. surrendering to the season.. whooo.. preach! ❤❤❤❤

Arrow and my first child are the same age. I've watched you for over 3 years now. Although we have semi different lives, they are still very much the same chaotic yet fullfilling, messy & clean days, good smiles & cries that we wouldn't trade for the world, because they are our world!! Of course we're gonna talk about them all the time. 🤪 Hard imagining our life before them and yes, what the heck we DID WITH OUR TIME!!😅WUT WERE WE DOING? So accurate! I love your content & personality. - Also the part about watching our children in that moment of joy.... Ah it really hits deep in the heart and literally lifts you up, nothing TRULY compares! Cheers to mommyhood and the beautiful way it shapes you. 😇

Yesss to the “I have to survive for my child” part.
I was never ever afraid of dying before I had my daughter. If I was to die, I was gonna accept it and die, basically.
Well now, I just feel I cannot die. Even if I am not afraid for myself, I just know nobody is going to raise and give her the best. And I know she loves me and I just cannot hurt her like that. It feels like I would betray my kid, lol.
I even think I saw a study showing women live more and get healthier after having babies because they need to be there for their kids.

“Forever my baby she’ll be” 😭 the way this had me in my feels. Truly felt that and she’s only 2.5 but they do grow up so fast and I catch myself reminiscing on the memories of her little tiny baby face while still trying to enjoy this new phase. It’s tough! No one warns you ❤

You have no idea how much I feel you on not being able to read or see stuff about kids getting hurt. If I come across a random title or thumbnail that I don’t scroll away from in time, it WRECKS me for DAYS after. It’s an actual problem for me. I am so overcome when it happens. Plus, intrusive thoughts are almost debilitating sometimes. AND YES, child first, always always always.

Thank you for sharing these. It really also brings home the hardships mothers in Palestine are facing. Some who will never get to see their children age. Some who have to see their kids on pain without being able to do anything about it. Let's keep them in our thoughts and advocate for them where we can.

I can quite literally relate to every. Single. Thing. On this list!!! Haha, thank you for making it. Our daughter will be 3 in two months and baby sissy will be here in two months. Sometimes I think at which stage will it get “easier” and really each stage comes with new challenges and you really do have to slow down and enjoy/appreciate the good in ALL stages ♥️ it’s crazy how insanely fast they grow up and it makes me emotional thinking about my sweet tiny baby girl getting so big 🥹

  • @guitarcrazo0205
    @guitarcrazo0205 5 місяців тому

You said “it never gets easier, it just gets different”, which I agree with! BUT my husband and I like to put a twist on it by saying “it doesn’t get easier… but it does get better” because no stage has been easier but man, watching them grow up is the most rewarding feeling in the world!!

I definitely lost myself for the first 2.5 years of my kids life’s. And it really triggered me to find myself again and put that effort into finding myself, Ive been working on that for a year and I’ve never felt this confident about myself and o think that’s really important for my daughters to see too. I want to be able to parent them and be authentically me and show them to be authentically them. ❤

I had a falling-out with a friend who doesn’t have kids because she kept getting really upset when I had to sometimes cancel plans last-minute or I couldn't easily do things with her on weeknights. The final straw was when she started comparing me to a SAHM (I work full-time) and saying she was better able to maintain friendships. On the other hand, I get together with my friends with kids every couple months and it's all good, we all understand how hard it is to balance everything.

I take my 3 toddlers out and get nothing but judgement if one throws a wild tantrum. And the middle one almost always does. No one gives an encouraging smile, no offer for help, nothing. I basically leave every activity or event that should of been fun in tears because all I feel is judged by the daggers people shoot me with their eyes. It makes me never want to leave the house. But I'm a sahm and this is my 24/7. I take them out for their own sake. I just wish it wasn't so hard.

Just focus on what you can control and how to make the situation better or manageable for your kid. I have a very strong willed and big for his age 2 year old (ppl think he’s 4).
