It was nice to see Curry actually tried to help once Durant exited the game. I saw a different curry after Durant left. He seemed willing, motivated, and interested in playing the game. I wonder why? Please don’t say it is because Durant holds him back with ISO plays. Look in the 1st and 2nd quarter: Curry missed every easy layups. But once Durant exited the game, he began playing like himself. I like seeing this type of NBA basketball. Real defense making the NBA players make similar mistakes that college players make, but on the flip side, we get to see them do magic tricks they never knew in college. Referees letting the petty stuff go, and calling travels... lol! (they also let the 3-step continuations go, though... I guess its the NBA). With this type of intensity, even old man CP3 is getting up and touching the rim with 2-hands. I think the Rockets were not as physical as they were the last game, and it showed. Don't let the Warriors sweet talk you into being their friend while they walk all over you. Keep pushing them around like you were last game, and your size (in weight) will give you an advantage. The rockets have bigger guards who are just as fast and as lethal as the Warriors. Cappella was choking up a storm tonight, but that's an easy fix, cause everyone has a bad game. I've been a James Harden hater in the past because I don't think there has been honest defense on him. But he has made me a believer tonight. He's a smooth operator, just like the song. And I am still suspect of the Splash brothers against real defenders. Clay Thompson made me question my challenge against him tonight, but he sure as hell proved me right the last game. Last game the Rockets were all up in Clay Thompson's face. This game Clay went under their radar, and shot a fraction of a second faster. Toronto/Sixers series was just as exciting as this. I think the NBA Championship will be just as exciting, because whichever teams make it that far, you can be sure that they will not lose due to lack of defense, as did Lebron and his Cavs. The Rockets have upped their defense to a championship level for most of the playoffs thus far. Now we will see if they can maintain it. That's the problem with turning it on and off instead of making it an automatic part of your game. Sometimes when you need to turn it on, you forget, or you don't want to. But if playing hard-nosed tenacious defense is a pre-requisite to stepping on the floor (because your coach says so), then its always on, and you can focus on other stuff with the defense at a default 100% tenacious. Warriors always play good defense. The Rockets don't. If the Rockets can't maintain their 'playoffs defense', they will not win a championship. I don't mind seeing JHarden and CP3 topple the warriors. But it will take some soul searching and deep digging down into the nitty gritty defense to topple the Warriors. Keep your offense the same you've been doing, but turn up the defense a notch. At the finals, I would love to see KD v. Kawhi. Who will take Lebron's mantle? But in order for them to be held to the same caliber as Lebron, they have to get their team there first. Neither has an excuse not to make it. They have as much fire power as Lebron, though Kawhi much less than KD. But even so, Kawhi's team mates are still pretty good, and enough to get the job done. They shut down the Sixers last game, and if they can repeat that, they may just have enough to win a Chip. But that's me cheering for the underdog again.

I like seeing this type of NBA basketball. Real defense making the NBA players make similar mistakes that college players make, but on the flip side, we get to see them do magic tricks they never knew in college. Referees letting the petty stuff go, and calling travels... lol! (they also let the 3-step continuations go, though... I guess its the NBA). With this type of intensity, even old man CP3 is getting up and touching the rim with 2-hands. I think the Rockets were not as physical as they were the last game, and it showed. Don't let the Warriors sweet talk you into being their friend while they walk all over you. Keep pushing them around like you were last game, and your size (in weight) will give you an advantage. The rockets have bigger guards who are just as fast and as lethal as the Warriors. Cappella was choking up a storm tonight, but that's an easy fix, cause everyone has a bad game. I've been a James Harden hater in the past because I don't think there has been honest defense on him. But he has made me a believer tonight. He's a smooth operator, just like the song. And I am still suspect of the Splash brothers against real defenders. Clay Thompson made me question my challenge against him tonight, but he sure as hell proved me right the last game. Last game the Rockets were all up in Clay Thompson's face. This game Clay went under their radar, and shot a fraction of a second faster.
Toronto/Sixers series was just as exciting as this. I think the NBA Championship will be just as exciting, because whichever teams make it that far, you can be sure that they will not lose due to lack of defense, as did Lebron and his Cavs. The Rockets have upped their defense to a championship level for most of the playoffs thus far. Now we will see if they can maintain it. That's the problem with turning it on and off instead of making it an automatic part of your game. Sometimes when you need to turn it on, you forget, or you don't want to. But if playing hard-nosed tenacious defense is a pre-requisite to stepping on the floor (because your coach says so), then its always on, and you can focus on other stuff with the defense at a default 100% tenacious. Warriors always play good defense. The Rockets don't. If the Rockets can't maintain their 'playoffs defense', they will not win a championship. I don't mind seeing JHarden and CP3 topple the warriors. But it will take some soul searching and deep digging down into the nitty gritty defense to topple the Warriors. Keep your offense the same you've been doing, but turn up the defense a notch.
At the finals, I would love to see KD v. Kawhi. Who will take Lebron's mantle? But in order for them to be held to the same caliber as Lebron, they have to get their team there first. Neither has an excuse not to make it. They have as much fire power as Lebron, though Kawhi much less than KD. But even so, Kawhi's team mates are still pretty good, and enough to get the job done. They shut down the Sixers last game, and if they can repeat that, they may just have enough to win a Chip. But that's me cheering for the underdog again.
