People are given the gift of singing for a reason and it is certainly clear here. From light, to darkness and back again. Thanks for taking me on the pleasant side of your journey!!!
Chuck first pays homage to his old bandmates which almost brought me to tears in itself. But then, and with oxygen, he sang to the top of where his lungs allowed him to go, and.. for Us. And I gotta say that Anyone "without" Oxygen, Still wld Not be able to deliver like I just heard Chuck belt it out! And still.. Much Respect, gratitude, admiration, and love Chuck! ♥️ Always~
Three Dog Night has a special place in my heart. My husband and I had just learned we were pregnant when we took the… train into Toronto to see them perform at the CNE - Canadian National Exhibition - in 1973 .Never forget that night. We then saw Chuck with his new band perform at Fallsview Casino in 2017.He was amazing .Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Our son is now 50 yrs old.
I saw Three Dog Night in a very intimate setting about 20 years ago in Saint Petersburg. I was amazed how good they were and the talent they had. It was a wonderful experience.
He's pure class in the way he always credits the members of Three Dog Night when they want nothing to do with him, and don't even acknowledge him during their shows.
when i saw him i thought no way but he pulled it off good job one of my favorite dog songs thanks chuck negron and r.i.p cory wells and the rest that we lost.hall of fame should be ashamed what a horrible orginization
It must be difficult for Chuck/ to sing Coreys part and have another band members singing Chuck’s part , It just shows even though they sound different now ; some bandmembers are gone, Cory Wells originally always sang the lead on this song and Chuck/ and Danny sing the accompanying harmonies. Now Chuck/ is doing Coreys part and a studio band member is apparently singing Chuck’s high part as he did when the Three Dog Night group was in full swing. It doesn’t sound The same, there’s no way that it could, but it does sound good it sounds as though they’re trying to make it as original as possible and I give them an A+ for trying, it brings back a lot of memories and I still hold his band three dog night near to my heart, even though Chuck/ has formed his own group now, the old songs are still being sung still alive and always will be ♥️♥️♥️♥️⭐️⭐️⭐️♥️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🎶🎵🎵🎶🎶🎵🎵🎵🎶
God Bless Chuck Negron still belts it out. God bless Danny Hutton still got The 1 dog night show going ( I know 3DN without the originals)and 🙏Godspeed Cory Wells these guys were so Harmonized when they sang together..wish they did a show before Cory passed. I would of bought front row for $$$$ for that.. I loved them, I was like a big fan like in 4th grade..yeah I’m gonna be 60;this year but have great blood I look 40 my mom looks 60 she turned 80 in October…Rock Lives for ever!!!!!!
Shows how unique they were to their own parts and voices. Very few people could do Cory’s part. He was unique with his moves, timing, harmonica and low soulful voice.
First saw Three Dog Night in San Antonio back in the late 1970s then much later at Sea World. Chuck Negron was no longer with them then. He was the group's best singer.
@DanielWarPaint - that was an incredibly astute "spot" and good logic right there. I think you're right, he pulls an (Albuterol +maybe ipratropium bromide?) inhaler from his left inside jacket pocket, hits it once, and then coughs one good time while his back is to the camera. Eagle eye, bro 🦅👁️
No. Many R&R HoF inductees didn't pen their tunes - Joe Cocker, the Supremes, even Heart during their MTV 'big hair' heyday. Even Jeff Beck and often Eric Clapton do material penned by others. The reality is that Three Dog Night were never considered cool by the hipsters, including - seemingly - Jann Wenner, founder/publisher of Rolling Stone Magazine and head chap at the R&R HoF. I mean, the band was hip when they first came out. But success breeds contempt. And when they hit huge with 'Joy to the World' that was the end of credibility. After that they became formulaic and the song choices seemed to have more to do with having hits than anything else. So, it is that bias that is keeping them out.
Time to join Danny Hutton now. Save your legacy. Three Dog Night is not Three Dog Night without Danny and yourself. Be a man. You did this to yourself and putting the blame on others is not right. Fess up and bring the Dog back to its place of greatness. Put the past behind you. Chuck, you are not the talented musician you are without Three Dog Night.
Isn't Danny the one who won't do it? Chuck always says that. I know part of it was his book and the other part is probably Danny doesn't want to pay him equal pay as him? Is there another story?
@@harveyshaper360 From what I was told when I met with them in Torrington, Connecticut Danny was totally in favor to bring Chuck back. Cory was a little skeptical but also yes. The real person behind “no” was Jimmy. Jimmy wanted no part of it. He had his own habit. I do not think is was the money because with Chuck back in the group the demand would be high, the money would be huge and both would no longer play at county fairs and small venues. Equally they would earning so much more.
@geraldroraback54No, it was Danny, he wouldn't even take Chuck's calls. Notice how he won't even mention Chuck's name in his intervies, yet Chuck always give both mention and credit to Corey and Danny.

Three Dog Night should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Chuck is timeless and just awesome!

Chuck is one of the greatest singers ever. This was fantastic, especially it was out in 69. Very impressed with his voice.
The strength of his voice is still self evident.
Met him on a 70' s themed cruise. He had the oxygen...he was great!
He hasn't lost his voice at all! Sounds great.
Sure does!!!
Always the pro Chuck. 8 decades in and still rockin'.

I remember this song. I must have been about 11 or 12 when it came out. Good childhood memories.
I was 14 yrs old back in 1969 when this was released. Love to be 14 yrs old again. It was a great time except for the war in Vietnam.
Chuck is pure awesome , he did such a great job with this song. Love him.....

Really sad Chuck never reunited. I seen them in concert tonite, only Danny Hutton remains as an original member of the band.
Absolutely agree. Massive respect. Need more people like him.
Chuck’s group is a lot better than Danny’s, which looks like the Crypt Keepers. I’m not exaggerating.
After he was "clean" he worked so hard to get hisevoice back and his breathing. And he did it. Wow. Read his biography.
DAAAMN. He looks and SOUNDS amazing for 75!
Wow - A brilliant & timeless musician is in great form here - thanks!
Three dog night was my first concert that I went to in 1971
Me too, in Chicago. T Rex was the opener.
Saw 3 Dog Night late 60's Bushnell Memorial, Hartford, Ct. Just 52 years ago. Totally Awesome.
Chuck still got it!!!♥
Always loved Chuck

I've never seen anyone singing while wearing oxygen nose tubes. Hats off to him. He sounded great.
I think he suffers from emphysema
Wow, I didn't notice until I saw your post.
Also in the beginning of the song before he starts to sing (back to crowd) he's using a inhaler.....1:09
Really? That was so tacky. Don't point out the negative, enjoy the positive. Could you do better? Probably not.
@@laurenval2370 I said hats off to him, he sounded great. If that's not good enough for you, you have a problem.
Wow his voice is still amazing!

Chuck's successful recovery story is movie material.
WOW… What a voice!!! Love this song! 🏆❤️
They chose awesome songs by great songwriters like Laura Nyro. I wish she had lived long enough to write more. Chuck is a living wonder. What a voice.
I love you Chuck

Still an amazing talent!!!
Hey, he had it. I like how he let his fallsetto guitar take HIS old high part. Hey, you gotta get it done, right?
Woooooow! What a voice!

Chuck Negron had a son and his name was Chuckie. Chuckie was a heroin addict. Chuckie was on the show Intervention. March 26, 2006.
En Guadalajara lo conocemos muy bien, es grandioso tree dog naigt grupazaso
Written by the late great Laura Nyro! ❤
This guy was 75 in this? Looks like when he quit drugs he quit aging too
I know its fifty years later, but Chuck looks nothing like he did then.
I can’t believe it’s the same person! It was nice to see/hear him again.
No one can touch Laura Nyro's version. She is the author and does layering vocals.

So I heard they didn't write their songs ,that's why their not in the rock and roll hall of fame, so unjust ☹😫
