That should tell you something. Get off the full year batting stats. You should be better than that if you're going to talk Guardians.
To me the trade actually makes a lot a sense. One look at Naylor confirms he's not taking care of his body the way a professional athlete should, and that will catch up with him sooner rather than later. Better to get what can be gotten for him, rather than waiting until he's a free agent and losing him for nothing. I just wish they could have gotten a little more for him, but given the way they develop pitchers we'll probably look back on this one five years from now and find the verdict is they did a Kluber for Classee kind of trade. Santanna will come close to matching Naylor at the place, and even now is better than him defensively. Probably saved money to boot. Now if they just spend some of it.
What Jason Lloyd said and the fans who agree with him and stick up for this team is why they'll never win a World Series. It's very sad what Cleveland fans are content with. For the billionth time, stop comparing the Guardians to the Browns. No shit they’re a better run organization. That bar is so low that it’s underground. We need to compare the Guardians to other MLB teams in their division and similar markets. What are the Tigers and Royals doing? Hell, the Tigers were SELLERS at the deadline and they still put up a fight against us in the playoffs. Has the front office earned some benefit of the doubt? Sure. But they’re also the team with the longest World Series drought so they deserve less than what they’re getting. The Dolans have taken for granted Tito, a weak AL Central and the fans for basically a decade.
