Excellent video and great sound with the new mic, see you have the new strap on the camera and not on the lens, bit worried about the strain on the lens mount, have a good week 🙂

Thanks for that. I've just watched my video and seen the strap was on the camera. I always put it on the lens, I don't know why it was on the camera, thanks for that, I will be more careful.

I was just going to comment on the strap attachment😏 wish my canon 100-500 had option to attach the stap to the collar🙄

@@Wim-Minnaard I'm normally really careful where I attach my straps. I blame the early morning start, as you see from the video with me mixing my words up, I don't think I was fully awake.

The sound settings were actually way off, but I will explain all that in the next video.

Hello m8, I use a Nikon D500 with a sigma 150-600mm sport lens which as you may know is quite a heavy set up, but I have found if I carry my setup in hand and switched on at all times I`m not slowed down by straps etc. I can bring my camera quickly up to my eye and fire it in a second and catch wildlife that can be very quick to disappear when they see you.

Ive since moved my strap to fit of the foot of the lens through the peak design strap. I found it easier to carry that way.

I do on some of my videos, but not on all of them. I'm not a fan of it as it doesnt really mean anything or help. I've also done a video on why.

Some great shots in there, Marc. Especially liked the woodpecker and collared dove ones. With regard to the insect shots, did you use the 200-600 or have you got a macro lens as well? I’ve got the same set up as you (A7iv + 200-600 + 1.4x tc) so your shots give me a standard to aim at. Ta.

The insect shots were taken on the sigma 24-70 that say. I do have a macro lens but hardly ever use it.

Nice pics. Just ordered the 200-600 lens and I'm excited to pair it with my A7 IV. Used Nikon D500 with 200-500 lens for my wildlife shots up until now, but haven't been too happy about it because any shots taken 30+ meters away and the object always comes out too soft.
Hopefully Sony won't suffer from the same issue.

It's a great lens. It more or less lives on my camera now unless I'm shooting landscapes. Hopefully my teleconvertor will be here on the next few days. I'm excited to try that out.

the sony a7r4 and the sony 200-600 and in several years that I have been taking photos, a bird in flight has hardly ever focused clearly on me. I sent my entire team to sony Spain on 3 occasions and they told me Everything is ok. Even now I sold the sony 200-600 and bought another new 200-600 and it always fails in bursts. .I think that this camera and this lens are never compatible in burst photos with moving objects and animals. My approximate configuration is:
    ISO 800
    speed 1/1600 or more
f10 always because in f6.3 the static or moving photos come out very little sharp I don't know why
central focus with tracking which is the last option on the menu.
    60mpx extra sharp +5

      @mitavoz Рік тому

Thanks! This is quite important information. I did test between lowest f6.3 and f8 and didnt notice much difference. And yes theres a lack of sharpness on this 200-600 and I was wondering if it could be related with this f-stop. I tested with Sony A6300 and always manual focus as its impossible to do autofocus correctly with this camera. Waiting for my A7IV to do the same tests and compare sharpness. Also A6300 doesn’t behave very well with hight ISO and A7IV is much better in all the points! I hope! So f10 ISO800 and 1/1600 at 600mm got it! Thanks!
