I have many animals but these two have the most character. Lincoln is the French bulldog and Carlos the bearded dragon. Carlos likes letting himself in and out of his cage. My Frenchie and Carlos enjoy chasing each other. Carlos is definitely the more aggressive one and I have to give him a time out sometimes. The dog never hurts the bearded dragon, but Carlos has scratched Lincoln. They search each other out to play and like any siblings sometimes need to be separated. I always watch them so it doesn’t get out of hand.

They're aren't playing, that bearded dragon feels threatened
I think you're right. Bearded Dragons here in Australia hiss or run when threatened but this poor lizard can't escape as the floor is like ice.
@@AndyPresto75 Exactly and the owners things it cute to let one animal torture another
I used to have a bearded dragon, I can imagine this little suckers heart beat is going crazy right now 😕‼️
@@notasouthernbelle6633 a ad for apple has a bearded dragon on its back (it’s on there instagram even) I see it every time I log on I look at my bearded dragon and could never imagine doing that for money. :((
@@Spaghetti_Yeti I think it's cruelty
The bearded dragon is threatened that’s why it’s beard is inflated
The dragon has the edge and he ain't playing.
Everyone's comments are correct. The dragon isn't playing. It thinks something big and dark is going to eat it so it's trying to look scary. Stupid owners! Poor bearded dragon.
Bearded dragons dont play.
That was typical defense posturing.
Poor thing was probably extremely stressed :(
I Don’t know how people could do this! I could never put my bearded dragon through this, I love him too much!
They definitely do play, but it's rare. There's a video on the dodo, I think, where a bearded dragon is attached to this one dog. Loves to play with her. However, it is a one in a million chance. So, in this situation, I agree that this beardie is 100% stressed and not playing.
We have bearded dragons like that one running wild here & he's defending himself, one step closer & he'll have a go at the dog!
I read this in an Australian accent
@@Trevors_Dragonssame
This not a fight my friends no, this is a battle for territory
Accurate Title: Dog vs Bearded Dragon
I think they were just sizing each other up
The dragon is fearless😂
The dragon was like meow meow n*gga
Stressing your bearded dragon and risking injury to both pets for internet up votes 👎.
Exactly!!
No
Bearded dragons head bob when there about to fight
Dog: why da f**k is my squeaky toy moving?
Lizard: wtf is this giant beast? I ain't in no mood for playin!!
They weren't playing when a bearded dragon puffs out its stomach and walks in circles, it means it feels threatend
Well now I know that when put into a cage match with a beast a hundred times it's size, the Beardie squared up, kept his eye on his opponent, bared his teeth, flexed his muscles, and charged to attack even though there is no way he could come out on top. I am a very proud red dragon owner right now
Beardie looks like he’s in defence mode, see how he tilts his body toward the pup so he looks bigger? Lil guy’s fightin for his life 😅
At least nobody got hurt.
At least the dog was smart enough to play.
No, they are fighting. Poor beardy :((
The beard would be black if it was actually angry...
@@TheBaldBastard you can see it start turning black in the video and puffing up to look bigger
The dog isnt fighting the dog is just curious but the beardie definitely feels threatened
The dog is playing. Even touches tail with snout but doesn't even open mouth.
@@cjr1881 the bearded dragon is scared and feels threatened
It doesn't look like the bearded dragon is happy😂😂
this not play. natural behaviour of the dragon and the dog. it can go south no matter how cute it is
I don’t think bearded dragons play. My name is jumped at me trying to bite me.
My name is IS the name of your Dragon? That's so original, nice.
Rockstar needs to do a voice over on this one
Very serious gentlemen we've got here 🤣🤣🤣
I would not let this continue. It isn't healthy for either animal.
Poor Dragon 🐉
Be nice, mister Frenchie!
I think only mammals play.
Reptiles definitely don't.
They definitely do.
Source: I have rescued and kept reptiles for years.
However, this situation is not what I would call “playing”. This is a beardie in slight fear. He’s not terrified, or he would be frozen with his whole body puffed up, mouth wide open, and beard completely black, and there would be hissing. Still not playing and still not a responsible thing to let your pets do though.
I’ve had beardies and monitors that would play with toys, come when called, and even play with/take naps with my dog. (The playing I’m talking about involves chasing toys together and playing tug of war, no signs of fear or agression from either the dog or lizard, my dog is also a herding breed and has zero prey drive, he is also extremely gentle and careful with them. I wouldn’t trust just any dog to do what he does with my critters)
@Snakesonaframe
First you say they definitely do and then you say you wouldn't call it playing.
Are you a woman? 😅

Dog : we just playing
Dragon : no . We is . Not
My beardies would cuddle with my kitties, especially the Maine Coon. I have so many pics and videos of my critters, like this one of a beardie, a parrot and a kitty all nestled on me first thing in the morning while I watched the news and had coffee.
This video, tho, is not mutual play. The dog is playing. The beardie is not. The behavior is defensive.
The bearded dragon feels threatened, he’s not “playing”, he’s bearding look at him, he’s gonna snap at the dog
The dogs instinct is to go around and sniff its rear end but every lizard ever tries to avoid getting grabbed by its tail. One wants to see whats up and the other thinks its gonna die.
Bearded dragon will bite the dog
Tierno😂❤❤❤❤❤❤
I wonder, what is Goin on in both the Bearded Dragon, & the Dogo’s heads.
This bearded dragon is not playing. It feels threatened, hence the head bob and the movement of its body turning sideways. This dragon was stressed and on defense.
My frenchie is obsessed with my bearded dragon cheeto
This is not a good idea at all. For either animal but especially the bearded dragon. Stop it!
Till death do us part
THE BEARDIE IS THRETENDED
So what ? Get over it wimp
Cool
I was afraid he would pop his tail off… that might not have been so cute.
That bearded dragon is being defensive, it's not playing. You should be careful the dog obviously was about to nip the end of his tail a few times to play, even if they don't know that can hurt the bearded dragon, it's not safe. Reptiles are too fragile to play with other kinds of animals most of the time, and it's clearly stressful for your bearded dragon.
My Boxer would do the same thing, only there would be some deep territorial barking going on!
It's hard to know what they're really thinking, but they are both clearly a little at unease. However, the posture from the dog, and the fact that beardie isn't super dark at the throat suggests at least they aren't at code red yet.
However, that could change at a moment's notice (pup could make too sudden a move or beardie could take a fearful chomp) and it could go badly very quickly!
Best to keep them apart, and at the very least, have a good hold on each's face.
i like to have french bull dog
Why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do bearded dragons have any concept of play???
Frenchie is playing not the dragon. Hope you trained the frenchie right and he doesn’t bite the take off of the thing
The frenchie is not even playing, he is investigating
Never seen a bearded dragon move so quickly
Oh they can move. Fast.
He’d be going triple as fast as this if he wasn’t on the tile.
this reminds me of Luna
Dogzilla vs the dragon of Beard
yah yah yah. the bearded dragon was threatened, but it knew in the animal world this dog wasn't trying to kill it..
When he goes that dark colour, and under his chin is dark he's angry and wants left alone. Not a good look.

I have 2 pittbulls. 1 could care less about my bearded dragons. THE other tries to play but he's to rough with his paw. So I stop it right away. Before he gets hurt!
Not the best idea.
@@Shakeshakefries934 Because even if they grew up together a dog can get to excited and bite too hard, which would be tragic.
The dragon thingies slow, so that bulldog can barely win

That dragon isn't playing. He feels unsafe.
Hence why his beard is out and dark colored.

Idk about the lizard, but the dog is playing!
Poor Beardie
Do reptiles have the nervous-system for play?
Nice choice I think I'll get my frenchie one
So cute 🥰
I think they're fine. The frenchie won't hurt the dragon and the dragon gets to use his defense posture same as he would in the wild against animals that would actually try to harm it.
I have a bearded dragon and his name is pepsi😊
As a person who has many bearded dragon this one is not happy and feel threatened if you can't see that you should not have one
I want both of them
