Oh Ems what exciting news 📰. My addiction has bought another vegepod 😂😂 oh lord what are us gardeners like. It will be amazing to have a poly to hang about in and grow. My dahlias are now in their pots but in the shed hopefully staying warm. Have a super week, Ali 🌞🥶🥶🇨🇦
Absolutely get the biggest you can afford, or are allowed, on your plot. I guarantee you’ll wish you went bigger if you opt for 10 x 8ft. Very exciting plans! ❤
Thanks Clare. Been watching your Polytunnel build videos and looks fairly straightforward. The biggest we are allowed in width is 10ft and length up to 20 feet but I think I have room for 15 foot max. So excited. 😆
@@GardenofEmma 15 x 10 will be a fantastic size! You’ll enjoy the head height as well, as you’re pretty tall. I would imagine the greenhouse feels quite oppressive in that way to you. Gemma’s is 15 x 10 I think and Jane’s on her plot
Yes I think it might be even a four person job. A number of helpers have volunteered on our site which is nice. Fingers crossed I will have some helpers when the time comes
Decisions decisions Emma!!!! I would say you want it sooner rather than later because you'll really miss the greenhouse once it's gone... Exciting developments though!!!
Go bigger than you need emma on the polytunnel, you’ll regret it otherwise 😊 you’re not losing growing space just increasing your growing season 😊 you get more for your money getting a polytunnel than a greenhouse too - plus no glass for you to smash through lol
Yes the falling through the greenhouse shook me a little and it’s the second time it’s happened. I fell backwards through it whilst kneeling doing some weeding. Total acccident area
Thank you. That’s what I’m hoping. It is 800 for construction so I think I would prefer to spend the money on a bigger tunnel and build myself. I’m not in a rush
OHHHHH a larger under cover space to grow in!!!
Exciting.🥰
I love hearing people's plot plans. Very exciting Emma. Have a lovely week
Thank you Cheryl. Yes it’s the time of year us gardeners make plans. Got to save my pennies now
Envy
You and me both!
I know. As soon as it was constructed I thought ohhhhh I like it. Plus I do need more under cover space. That’s what I keep telling myself anyway 😂

Thank you Ali. Yes will be a great addition to the plot. Just need to save my pennies. What to do when you run out of space in a greenhouse
@ you buy a huge poly tunnel 🤣🤣

Great plans, it will be exciting to see the build. No defeat if you get a little help, I think getting the cover on is a two person job.

@@GardenofEmma Oh good, accept the help and arrange a polytunnel party! ☺
@@GardenofEmmathere was only me and Duncan, so two people is definitely enough

Yes I think getting rid of the greenhouse will spur me on. Will be worth it. Thinking of upgrading the shed too now

@ 100% good choice to sell it then! That sent shivers when you did it
Hi Emma, I have just mulched dahlias as well 😂 I love them in the garden they fill spaces and look great 👍🌱
They looked stunning few days ago and then after the frost not so much. They have provided many cut flowers this year and brightened up the home
@@GardenofEmma always next year to look forward to Emma 👍🌱
@ that’s very true
👍👍👍
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed the update. 😀
👍👍👍👍👍🌺🌺🌺🌷🌷🌹🌹
Thank you so much 😀
You may need to rethink leaving blackberries near the poly they can take over and could rip the plastic 😮
That’s a good thought 💭 I’m thinking I may construct it in the middle of the plot rather than near the fence so this may be a better idea
As for the build… I’m thick and we did it. So long as you can work out getting the hoop frame square ok, the rest will be a doddle 😊
