@Simon Smith, the bit with the power chords on the 3rd and 4th fret of the E string is not quite clear to me. Isn't Varg strumming something like 8 times each chord? Also, I saw several people playing this music on youtube and they do a very strange strumming pattern with some up and down movement which I can't figure exactly the timing. Do you know anything about this strumming?

I love this music, i want to learn it and eventually create such myself. Your tutorials really help with learning and getting inspired and motivated.

The slightly higher pitch is probably so the guitar sounds more ok if the tuning drops abit. Alwas better to tune it abit sharp IMO

What do you mean exactly by its in E standard but higher pitched?
E Standard tuning, but concert pitch is A at 440hz and it's slightly higher than that.
