I've been going to see Killing Joke live for 40 years now since Feb 1980 when they played with Joy Division in London seen them over 300 times etc but it's sad to see what they have turned into now no passion in their playing etc Money IS their God nowadays they are just going through the motions now.
I hear what you're saying. Probably the least impressive live clip of KJ I've seen. To be fair I think Paul would say he still has passion but he has to conserve energy physically at his age. Geordie always operates, as you know, without much physical movement. Jaz....is Jaz ha ha....I think he WANTS to continue with the same passion. YOUTH though. For fuck's sake....he is the underwhelming factor for me. He's got no charisma or attitude at all. Been like it ever since he came back. I've not been very impressed with his production of latter day Killing Joke either. I MUCH preferred Raven as the bass player for KJ. Ah well..... Suffice to say I only got to see Killing Joke the once.....Hammersmith Odeon over a decade ago. Brilliant. Though...God I wish I'd seen them in the eighties during Nighttime and BrighterTATSuns period. I won't be seeing them on this tour though. Can't be arsed.
They don't sound loud here. Normally they're deafening. I quite like this....a quiet evening with Killing Joke ha ha.
Oh yea! KJ rox
Great pizza next door 😀👍
Greatest Marxists band ever
