Thank you for your videos. I really enjoy the way you don't make us feel rushed. The information is solid, and very useful . You aren't just trying to sell us on some program that you've created. I hope the videos keep coming. They are wonderful.
Chelsea-if you haven’t yet,try Lithiums Hyper Cleanse…which was actually formulated for leather but ended up being a power house in lots of other areas-like a jack of all trades….but on leather…omg you won’t regret it!!
I was recommended Lexol clean and conditioner by a detail veteran and it worls wonders. I wouldnt say its the steongest stuff out there but definitely not the weakest either. As far as conditioner goes, i was taught that there should be some absorbing properties to the "leather" so when conditioning, you layer it on in increments and once the "leather" is no longer able to absorb the conditioner then you know its fully conditioned. Its worked for me with all the seats and other leather parts ive cleaned and conditioned.
What people don't realize is most "leather" seats have a coating on them. This coating protects the leather. So putting leather cleaner on top of a leather coated basically in a layer of plastic doesn't actually soften leather or clean it. More expensive cars like Ferrari, Rolls Royce, Lambo's and such, use "Real" leather with no "coating" on them. These cars are cleaned in a much different way than the leather in your Honda Accord.
Great info Chelsie, I have used Geyon leather shield, but I do very much enjoy using DIY interior ceramic. Thanks for sharing some other option available.
Thank you for this video! I have a 2021 Honda Pilot and this video came out right on time as I was just beginning to look around for the best way to clean and maintain my leather seats. Totally going to order a couple of these products for myself 🙂👌
Just the info I was looking for! Got a new vehicle and wanted the best thing on the leather seats. I already have DIY so going with that. Thanks for info !!
Great video and demonstration. I use RNR mixed light and then use Carpro Perl diluted. My vehicles are 2017 & 2015 with "leather" interior and they look great
Hi Chelsea, I use a Colourlock leather kit designed specifically for new leather. Comes with a foaming cleaning product with a foam applicator and a sealer product with cloth applicator.
Geist, Colourlock, Lithium hyper cleanse and Hide rehab or inner space or leather love but I have one the balm that Bill Crawley sent me and I don't see it at their site and it's a great product that also Fred Shramovich agreed with me, DIY Detail Rinseless, ONR to clean leather and then to protect DIY Detail interior ceramic too besides Geist and Colourlock products, Griot's Garage has a great leather cleaner and conditioner
Chelsea - you never disappoint with knowledge and real advice. Agree 100% on everything you said. Conditioners etc are also real dirt magnets. What I would recommend - since you also like real leather coatings - is to try ARTDESHINE INTERIOR. It is breathable, gives a very nice deep matte look, and protection for at least 1 year. Now this is the part where it really differs from other similar ceramic coatings - it is NOT slick and that is on purpose. Unlike others it will not make your steering wheel and seats slidey - it retains the grip and texture so even with spirited driving your body will not slide and your steering wheel will be safely in your hands. Give it a try - I think you will love it :)
Trying to get caught up with your videos …. Really enjoy that you stick to good basic car detailing videos as opposed to the product pushing videos that a few of my favorite detailers have started to turn out! I enjoy your honest opinion of what works in the real world 🤠🇨🇱
That is another product similar to the Gtechniq fabric guard that will last you about six months. I have used it in the past and it works well. It may not last as long, but it works well.
Thank you for this video! I recently bought a Jeep Gladiator with White/Grey leather seats. I am worried about denim staining showing up as it gets older. What would u recommend to use for weekly and long term usage. From your video I thought so the DIY detail or turtle wax but I agree with you and like the matte finish. I just want to maintain them and help keep them in good condition and prevent early wear.
If cleaning weekly the Turtle wax inside job would work well to clean and condition lightly but if you’re gonna keep up with it I’d use the diy interior ceramic and maintain with their clean and protect or TW inside job
Hello 👋🏻 First Thanks a lot for this nice vidoe 👍🏻 In fact I’ll receive my new red interior G class soon & I’m wondering if I should protect it as it is new or not! Do you recommend any ceramic coating & if yes which brand is the best? Thanks a lot 🙏🏻
I would definitely recommend protecting it as soon as possible to make maintenance easier and protect the paints but as far as coating are you looking to do it yourself? What’s your budget? Do you have experience with coatings?
It drives me crazy that anyone trying to sell you something and using all these words rather than just saying fake leather. Being able to clean and maintain is pretty important so these places need to be honest
Thank you Chelsea for the insight to leather that is not really leather lol. I guess it is time to give my seat at least a good cleaning. It might be worse than I think 2022 Honda Accord Sport 10,000 miles. What do you think?
steam-cleaning leather seats is SO MUCH EASIER than all this scrubby-scrubby. Steam cleaners also have nozzles that act like an air gun and blast the dirt out of the seams too.
You have to be careful with steam and leather can it can melt or burn the coating especially on cheaper leather so yes it can be helpful but with caution
@@attention2detailswchelsea so far so good. I saw another car guy (possibly Car Craft auto) steam clean a seat and pull out a temperature-reader and he said it's fine as long as you keep it moving. I will say it's a frigging fast way to clean a seat (and blast the dirt out of the seams)

I remember old lexus forums always recommended woolite diluted in water for lexus coated leather.

For maintenance interiors, I’m a big fan of carpro inner qd, it works and smells amazing.
Very informative. I appreciate your demonstration of multiple products and the simple trick to help identify leather will be very useful.
Ty for shedding light on this topic!
You're the best! Keep up the great work Chelsea!
You're absolutely right Chels

Was waiting on this video from you !! Thank you !❤

Great wisdom as always, Chelsea! Quick question: when you use Superior Leather Cleaner, do you use it straight, or do you dilute it? Thanks!
It is a ready to use formula
I tend to use just leather cleaners as every protectant I’ve used altered the feel or left a sheen/shune. P&S xpress interior detailer is the go to
Thank you! Great information as always!
Hi Chelsea, I use a Colourlock leather kit designed specifically for new leather. Comes with a foaming cleaning product with a foam applicator and a sealer product with cloth applicator.
Another great tips and tricks video Chelsea , thank you.
Good one, Chelsea. Helpful information. Leather seats sound cool when they're clean and you sit on them. Lol. Good video. Thank you.

Turtle wax inside jobbis my go to for interior after cleaning seats
Very informational video, thanks for your effort and sharing knowledge :)
Great vid!
I've always liked the smell of The Detail Firm Leather Cream.

would a drill brush with a micro fiber pad work also? or would this damage the leather?
That can work just use a lower speed and make sure the sides of the pad don’t burn the leather
I’m always amazed with how well DIY interior clean and protect works on all interior surfaces, including seats.
Outstanding, educational video. I appreciated the variety of products and seeing the side by sides.
Looks awesome Chelsea
Chelsea can you give me your opinion on mckees leather guard

@@attention2detailswchelsea thank you so much!
You reminded me that I forgot I bought one of those little sponge cleaners from DIY Detail! I completely forgot when I cleaned my car past weekend.

@@attention2detailswchelsea no I don’t have experience but I’ll do my best, no problem for the budget! I’m in France
Thanks
What about Super clean, diluted appropriately? Finish with a protectant after
It’s a ph of 12.5-13.8 so even dilluted wouldn’t recommend it it may be too strong or burn the leather
It drives me crazy that anyone trying to sell you something and using all these words rather than just saying fake leather.

@@attention2detailswchelsea Thank you. I will for sure.
🤣😂6:41 Teethmarks on the bottlecap
From a wrench cause they are hard to refill
What would you recommend on white leather ventilated seats on a Mercedes with for light cleaning. And or protection
Maintain with Mckees 37 70/30 leather shampoo and protect with DIY Detail Interior Ceramic every 6 months

Chelsea, do you dilute Superior products leather cleaner? I noticed that your spray bottle has "RTU" written on it.
It is a ready to use product
I’ll take the inside job 👍. Thank it’s my favorite 👀👍
She tossed that brush like, not today Satan. 😂😂
🤣
I didn’t see what you used on your sprayer to clean the leather in the 50/50 demo. Thanks
