We farm beyond organic standard but we have nowhere close to the hours in the day to do the mountain of paperwork required. Not at our level. When we can afford to hire help, maybe. In the meantime we just go to great lengths to be as transparent as possible with customers. I hope they change the bureaucracy to make it friendlier to smaller producers.

I've been certified for four years, just crops. I haven't certified my beef herd. I could, but in my area I can make about as much selling as certified grass fed. Paperwork isn't too overwhelming for crops.

Farmer Pete that is how we feel about our pigs! We grow most of their feed, but to certify them would be a waste be cause there really isnt a market! Pigs could be on a very tight margin as well! We really try to keep everything as simple as we can like you! We also sell a few grassfed beef! Great comment, thank you! Have a nice day, Lynette and Peter

The government makes it easy to pollute the land but to heal it is difficult and expensive. ??????

Geiger Farm we use OneCert out of Nebraska! Very thorough and their paperwork is very user friendly!

They are good people. Sam Welsch left OCIA to form One cert :).
